Afternoon all,
I have finished the main declutter yesterday, but I have been starting 2021 with 2 items a day to go.
8 random items removed to yesterday so today's two items are a Xmas biscuit tin and a medium box. I used the box to send some useful items to a relative - packed with clothing, Xmas chocolates, phone cables and any other oddments they wanted due to lockdown (these "gifted" items belong to plus one so not really counting in my total just the box)
I have been looking /reading minimalist stuff like the power of one (?) so only having one of each item, I can't say I'm convinced and the prepper in me loves a spare!! I'm pretty sure I have two of everything near enough.
Problem items for me are - Kitchen mugs, scissors and other half's clothing lol.
Not listing on ebay/other sites just having a rest for now but will attempt to continue to downsize at the rate of 2 items a day as maintenance alongside the usual kitchen waste.
I did order a new phone case as mine is falling apart and some easy thread sewing needles.
Loving the thread really useful to see what's going as gives me a nudge.
Wonderful work everyone.

I got home from work and hoovered (including the skirting boards) and mopped the kitchen floor. I’ve put on a load of washing and emptied the bins and food recycling and taken out kitchen recycling and I’m really pleased with myself . I hate cleaning. I think little and often is key for me instead of leaving it until the tasks pile up and it all seems too hard. Off to get my little one from nursery so I won’t get any decluttering done today, but thanks Mrs SD I am feeling positive and motivated 👍16

Out today a bottle of very OOD mulled wine, bottle in recycling and contents down sink. ( I bought it for DH because he promised more than once that he would drink it
( knew I couldn't help out because it contained cinnamon, which I hate
) Also into the recycling a lemonade bottle and a large ice cream tub.
Decluttered the fridge and used up some sad looking cheese in cooking, then decluttered the freezers from the build up of frost.Into the bin a broken battery operated artificial candle, such a shame, but the good news that it saved my hearth from damage when DH's laptop fell on itMrsSD I don't know how you keep up with everything, you must be Superwoman in disguisenanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
Hi, Can I join again this year. I did really well up to lockdown and then just stopped writing it all down. So this year, my target is to write here at least once a week and make progress every week. I think that's doable.
week 1 - scanned books and got a box of books for ziffit to collect. About £6 will be coming our way and 1 box of books goneDecluttering target:
Beauty product - 11/52, last item - bubble bath used while I shaved legs, 2 conditioners sachets from used hair dye boxes
Play room - 41/52, last item -
Clothes - 23/52, last item -
Food - 13/52, last item -16 -

Wow, a gold star 🤩 Thank you so much!
No decluttering today because I’ve been at work so just a clean down tonight and hall floor to mop. If all tidy and ironing done then I’m going to have a day off everything tomorrow with the kids. I work in healthcare so my work is going to be crazy over the next couple of weeks. And with home schooling starting again on Monday I think we all deserve a proper break.Well done to everyone on your successes so far! Xx16 -
Unmotivated with the lock down and nowhere to take things.
making a larger draught excluder for front door - decided some odd socks (even though not holey) would go in it
59 - 68 odd socks16
