Just a quick question.............
At the beginning of December I cleared out some cupboards (wish I had waited until now. NOT !). All old meds went to chemist but I have about 30 of those brown plastic bottles that meds are sometimes dispensed in. Do they go back to chemist or in recycling ?
many thanks

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Spent a couple of hours in the kitchen - mini batch cooking 😉 Sautéed onions & garlic, took out a portion to use in soup. Added fresh mushrooms & dried porcini mushrooms (took out 2/3rds ready to bag & freeze) then added 250g mince & half of the precooked red lentils. Cooked for a while than added tomato purée & 3/4 jar of a Lloyd Grossman tomato sauce & Italian herbs & spices - one Bolognese sauce. The other 250g of mince & the other half of the lentils was fried up. 1/4 jar of the LG sauce decanted to a small jar. Everything bagged, precisely labelled & put in freezer. Then made soup - used the set aside portion of onion & garlic, added a rasher of bacon, chopped up the lo pork & added ALL the los from the last few days, vegetable stock & a can of kidney beans added. Will taste test Wednesday & adjust seasoning if required.Finished watching my Nordic noir ‘DNA’ - it was brilliant (made even more so by my realising who the baddie was in the very 1st episode 🥳 - didn’t know how, but knew he was 😉) Unusually I watched without doing anything else - no knitting! Compelling viewing 🙂Dinner was spaghetti Bolognese 😋 Washing up done.51 - 52 Plastic jar, glass jar recycled

Great work lynnsey30 👏 a good Tuesday 👏
Thanks ClaireT13 👏 You have completed a major decluttering task 👏 the potential stress of two DSs not coping with homeschooling. Shame about the oven ☹️ Cheeky question - do you think your DH will fix it?😉Great start OWD_nana 👏Oh Nicnak ☹️ you do know that you can come here - plenty of shoulders to lean on & we are prepared to listen 🙂 I don’t think our resident nitwit realises how damaging his vacillating is 👿 (My DH (on his motorbike) actually saw him (on his bike) once - both stopped at a traffic light - DH bitterly regrets not punching his lights out/pushing him off his bike 😉 - in the days when he was merely the mayor) Do you have a dart board? If yes, can you procure a photo of resident twit & then treat yourself to a darts session each evening 😉😉Welcome aboard gilly1964 👏 A great start & I especially loved no.8 😂 I really hope we don’t have to wait until 3021 for better times 😉😉
Good work pamsdish 👏 I will be keeping fingers, toes etc crossed 🤞that the tyres & alloys sell quickly & for a good price 🤞Excellent work moneyonmymindsam 👏 Maintenance decluttering 🙂 I’m with you on keeping a spare of smaller items that are in constant use 🙂

I wish I was Superwoman 😉 - I just enjoy cheerleading - the one thing I have missed since being retired is the people ☹️Of course you can join us jacwins 🙂 Welcome aboard 👋 Looking forward to seeing you once a week & seeing your progress 🙂The_cross_rabbit - odd socks, gettingthrifty’s Tupperware lids + single gloves are all sunning themselves in the Caribbean - they managed to avoid all the Lockdowns 😉😉Now, now gettingthrifty (wagging finger emoji) I know you can complete tasks 🙂 - just repeat after me “ I WILL complete at least one task a day. I WILL COMPLETE at least one task a day” We will then all celebrate your success 👏🙂🙂
You earned it tryingtoavoiddebt 👏 Working, homeschooling, decluttering & cleaning - you have earned a day off to enjoy with your children 🙂. Thank you so much for continuing to work & please stay safe 👏👏
Good work TC77 👏 You were motivated enough to make a draught excluder 😉👏Well done charlies_tribe 👏 especially coaxing the almost 13 year old out from under the table 😉
Taking a quick break from cheerleading as I am splitting my sides laughing 😂 at a uTube clip DH has just shown me 🤣 A very late in the season (lots of snow on the ground) feast of crab apples eaten by a black squirrel & the resultant chaos 🤣 - well worth a look 😉
That deserves a medal 🏅 Wildrose 👏 Looking forward to son declutters shed, son declutters garage, son declutters loft - you can but ask 😉 Maybe he is bored & just wants something to do 😉

I have decluttered more emails than I'd like to count and lots of recorded TV as I couldn't sleep, think I'm more of a night owl or perhaps a vampire
In the last couple of days I've also finished 2 books, only another zillion to go, but they are on my kindle so nothing physical cluttering up the office, well not many
I still prefer paper books though.
Seems a few on here are having difficult times at present so I shall send you a big gentle virtual hug. I miss the extra emojis too, would have liked to put in the group hug onebalabooberlies I echo MrsSD to put them in the recycling and if they aren't taken then put them in the bin, might depend on the council rules though. At least you know you tried to help the planet.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Thank you Mrs S. and Nannywindow
Am not recording everything here as I just cannot work that way (wish I could). But will record every time I think I have got rid of a bags worth. Also filling bags of stuff to go to charity shops but they will not be recorded UNTIL they are out of the house. Have a tendency to re-check things and change my mind. Something to be worked on.
I love you lot. For the first time I feel supported in something that I have felt guilt and shame over. This thread has gone a long way to minimising those feelings leaving me to get on with the job.
Huge hugs to all.
Black Saturn..............thinking of you.

Decluttered a box of oven cleaner which I paid a lot of money for last year but didn't use. Used it to clean the oven and it was brilliant, Oven Pride. Looks great now and one thing less in my sink cupboard.
Also gone, a pink bath bomb which made the bath and me very glittery. And a plastic kids sledge, broken, which someone left on my drive after the recent snow. Sold a small item, £7 in to the "stockpiling fund". Passed on a bottle of wine which someone gifted me (I'm doing dry January) and put a couple of books in the chaz box which will have to wait now till after lockdown.Magnolia Stellata12 -
Good Morning all! I managed to sort out not 2 cupboards but 3, not much decluttering as I've not long moved and I decluttered a heck of a lot whilst packing but I did get rid of a water bottle that had seen better days and a couple of other bits I can't remember now. Just off to put some cardboard packaging into my recycling bin outside (when I build up the courage as it's so cold and rainy this morning - might have a cuppa first) so that's something else to report. Have a good day everyone13

Lost motivation to declutter yesterday after some goings on at work. Almost decluttered the last box of biscuits from christmas into my mouth but managed to resist.
This morning I have managed to empty the bag of stuff I brought back from the office plus a couple of things that were underneath the bag while I waited for the laptop to fire up:
119. Box that MIL's present came in and I saved to help DH with the wrapping but he managed to wrap it anyway
120. Lanyard from a conference I went to a year ago
121. Various papers from said conference that I don't need to keep
122. Plastic pouch that's supposed to be for wet swimwear - no way in a million years is it big enough for mine
123. Empty tic tac box that was in with all my work stuff
124. Various receipts which have been added to the shredding pileEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201715 -

Day 6 of The Minimalists challenge
Items 1-5: five books
Item 6: an additional 12 books!
Off to WBB today.
While scouting for future possibilities for the challenge I found a 50p stuck in a champagne cork from my 18th birthday, so I decluttered the 50p into the mortgage OP pot. Bonus14
