Haven't managed the read all post but will go back tomorrow as love hearing how everyone is doing. Dd2 revising all holiday for her mock GCSEs next week so she's fed up with all going on ( return to school covid test trip yesterday,) so evening of watching TV with her and little done .
57-58 medication dropped off with food to dd1. Just in date and another in bag to return to chemist 59.
Last of chocolate snacks decluttered into me, some decorations down and cards recycled. 60-61. Less motivated knowing can't drop items off to cs:(
Although lucky being able to work from home. Stay safe everyone xx15 -

Morning all, Christmas has been removed from the house and packed back into the loft for another year (we actually took all the decorations down on Sunday but DH couldn't be bothered with putting it all back until last night). I'm aiming to sort a drawer or something each day so today I'm going to work through the bag of stuff I brought back from the office when I cleared out my desk in September. Most of it will probably end up being thrown randomly on my desk at home until I can bring myself to sort it outEmergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 201712

Good morning, I had a major energy depletion yesterday so I didn't get around to sorting out my cupboards but I'm feeling a bit more up to it today so even if I only do that today I'll be happy. I have already decluttered an Air Wick room spray can that had ran out, not buying any more as I can't afford to so I need to look for free pleasant smells from somewhere else now14

Good Morning folks. I keep some of my clothes in a massive Victorian chest of drawers. Sorted yesterday and 5 tops released. My airing cupboard is getting quite full with everything earmarked to leave the house. A small amount of hoovering done yesterday. Must do better today. I have been using my time using up wool stash by knitting baby hats. 3 done this week.
7.-11. tops
11.-14 baby hats
Pounds lost 2lb
Pounds gained £40
I have decided to close my shop during tier 5 so no extra funds for the foreseeable future.

Hi Declutterbugs!
first post on challenge, although I’ve been getting on (very slowly) with decluttering! So far this month I have decluttered lots of bottles of wine and beer and most of the Christmas chocolates but they don’t really count so:
1. Box of manky chocolate “flavoured” seashells 🤢
2. Huge cardboard box
3. N*tflix movie pass
4. B*er52 subscription
On target for one thing per day but I’m hoping to have a surge when I can have a day at it!Vicky xGrocery challenge:December 2022 £151.96/£400 . Advent decluttering challenge 47/240.16 -
Hi everyone and Happy New Year.
This thread is moving so fast I really can’t keep up – so well done everyone as that must be a lot of decluttering done.
I’m sticking to not setting any targets as that works best for me by not inducing any stress.
Christmas tree is down and all decorations packed away and in the loft. Over the last couple of years I’ve forced myself to look at all the decorations and bin any that are broken and re-home any that I won’t use. I still have a lot as I like to have different themes each year. This year I put up some of the window stickers that I’ve had for years but not used and realised that they annoy me as I can’t see the birds out in the garden as easily. So, the 2 packets of those I have will be wending their way to the charity shop once I feel it’s safe enough to frequent the shops again. I’m also expecting France to go into lockdown again before this pandemic is over.
I’m still working my way through piles and boxes of ‘stuff’ that I have, many of which are undergoing their second or third sort as I steel myself to let go of more. My main push for January, assuming no lockdown, will be to get rid of some of the farm equipment I have as I no longer have my alpacas. I then must concentrate on adding value to all the fleeces I have. They need cleaning, grading and processing which removes a reasonable volume, so I guess it’s a sort of decluttering!
In the house I’m generally keeping on top of the junk mail coming in, I don’t know about you but I’m always amazed by how much comes in over a week and by how much recycling I generate even though I cook from scratch.
Overall, the pile of stuff that I have no idea what to do about but don’t feel that I should bin, is getting smaller – I try and glance over it a few times a day and if I see something that I feel I can deal with, then it gets done there and then. I’ve also learnt to stop once I feel I’m going into overload on decision making. I leave it until I feel fresh and able to make decisions that I will be happy with in the long term. That way I’m happy to get on with letting things go; a long process but much shorter than not getting anything out of the house or moping about things I’ve disposed of and now really regret getting rid of.
dND xx
