Nothing done today, not a thing, spent all day trying to sort car tyres out, too tired demoralized to do anything.Do I need it or just want it.11

Everyone is doing so well!Quick check in while I make dinner. I managed to finish decluttering the kitchen so it will get wiped down and mopped after tea as I continue to try and keep it clean and clutter free. Gone today are
5 bowls and a tin that belonged to my mum
2 chipped bowls and one cracked plant pot
2 novelty mugs to CS
An old suncream and empty packaging found under sink, febreze I’d forgotten about used up and out and a tin of oven cleaner I’ve not used since I moved 2years ago
Another plug in and 2 half full refills
Tub of stain remover that had got damp and congealed.
Also, from the dresser in the dining room 2 packs of popaballs and a bottle of chambord that had gone a funny colour.
I had time for a quick declutter of the rest of my clothes too so-
2dresses and 2 jeans to CS bag
2 hangers
Pair of fluffy socks
3 candles and a bag of broken melts that I didn’t even know I had! All in bin!
Now off to rescue the exercise bike from the garage and try and declutter some extra pounds!

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)
DH home - took 4 hours to give blood 😱 as there were problems with the buses ☹️Lunch was Gnocchi with a tablespoon of red pesto swirled through - Tasty & filling.
DSis & I have just finished watching the last episodes of Season 12 of Monkey Life. Washing up done.
41 Kitchen detritus binned
Now back to try & catch up on the cheerleading 😉
Great plan for the week tryingtoavoiddebt 👏 especially the 1st task of decluttering OH to work 😉😉 Personally, I don’t think you will have a problem staying on top of the decluttering 🙂 you will so enjoy having clear surfaces/spaces that you will automatically put items in their forever homes 😉🙂
Great work nannywindow 👏 Were you decluttering & counting 4 years ago? Probably why you kept the plastic thingies 😉😅
Great work boultdj 👏
Brilliant work ruby_eskimo 👏 an excellent start 🙂 As a collective group of declutterers we have decided that 2021 is our year 🥳 We WILL have clutter free, clean homes 🥳😁
Well done charlies_tribe 👏 Wrangling children for homeschooling is very difficult 😥 or so my neighbour tells me 😉
Nice to see you helensbiggestfan 👋 It is a great start 👏
Welcome aboard Wildrose 👋 So very sorry to hear about your accident Wildrose 😞 Hopefully 2021 will be the start of your journey to improved health and we will try to help you build your confidence & offer hints & tips to build up your energy. Firstly, a huge pat on the back (and/or a big hug from me 🙂) for a) finding us & b) joining us 👏.My first suggestion is to create an haven (I know I repeat this rather often 😉) - a space to retire to when it all gets too much. Many of us have had success with carrying a black bin bag going round the rooms in our homes & binning the visible rubbish - no sorting or tidying. Followed by carrying round a recycling bag & repeating for the visible recycling.
The great win is deciding to declutter & making a start 🙂You are here & are now a member of the Decluttering Family 🥳
Another new face 🙂 Welcome aboard D123456789 👋 I am very impressed at such a specific plan 👏 One of the keys to opening the decluttering success box is having a plan.
Whilst I remember, Well Done on building up your food stores 👏 I think many people were caught on the hop in March, so you did NOT fail your family - we have all just got used to popping out for a few bits at any time what with 24 hour opening. Another member of the Decluttering Family 🥳
Great work CheapSkate 👏 I absolutely love the idea of popping your head into the attic to take a photograph 😅 to remind yourself never to let it get into that state again 👏
Oh boo 😒 pamsdish ☹️ Hopefully the tyres are sorted now 🤞 A good night’s sleep & as Scarlett would say “After all, tomorrow is another day”
Wow tryingtoavoiddebt what a great day you have had 🤩👏 As an added bonus you are over a quarter of the way to your target which means I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️Congratulations 👏MrsSDDecluttering Target: 2021 41/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. 24-25: A couple of items containing gluten (arrived at Christmas) also to the food bank.
27-28: 1 bag rubbish, 1 bag mixed materials recycling out. (I don't do individual items.
I'm awfully glad to see the back of December, then again, I always am

I've decanted 5 different part used tubes of handcream into a glass pump bottle which now lives on my desk beside my work laptop. As I spend 8 hours a day, 4 days a week here, it will be visible & used.
I did receive a Christmas box from DS2 & his lovely wife, but the box has been refilled with their Christmas presents & sent back. I should have been there for Christmas but Boris stopped it.
Christmas is all packed up ready to go in the loft, and I am slowly using a stash of scented candles by burning one in my office every afternoon.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

What does everyone do with plastic grocery bags? While I was shielding the groceries were delivered in the thin plastic bags and now we have hundreds - I use reusable ones for shopping and now we're able to select delivery without bags so aren't getting any new ones - can they be recycled somewhere?
Have started unsubscribing to emails as they come in, and will work towards closing down duplicate email addresses and website logins, I have a ridiculous amount of overlap here so this will probably take a bit longer than I think. I also need to sort out my iTunes and laptop clutter because I have to get the battery replaced on my laptop and last time I got a broken key fixed they managed to break the whole laptop and I lost a few things so now I need to minimise and back everything up in case that happens again!"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better." Christmas decorations and cards all taken down and reallocated to their labelled containers.
Spray on snow stencil eventually washed off the window and it made me clean the 2 front windows ,in and out! The stencils were very effective and will be repeated in December, but I must remember to let it dry before arranging anything else by it .
Christmas flowers have just gone beyond redemption so they've gone, they were from DS and DD-in-law and were really lovely.
Cardboard boxes collected together and unmade and flattened ready for recycling, they've multiplied when I wasn't looking.
Dead batteries found and bagged ready to be recycled.
Seriously shabby( and rusty) biscuit tins thrown out and newly passed on donated ones ready for use. I donate a lot of my baking to friends and neighbours, heavens only knows what they think of the containers .
Thanks for the heads up on the Alzheimer's jewellery recycling, that'll spur me on to clear old fashioned costume stuff.
Stay safe
