Managed to get rid of another bag of stuff today. Most I've got rid of in ages and only the 3rd lol

Evening All

Everyone is absolutely flying! I had a disappointing day today based on what I hoped to achieve but was out longer for work than expected and had to spend some time with DS1 who is still getting his head around the fact that he has to actually do school work at home tomorrow even though his school is shut. These kids don't know they're born!!

No decluttering today, but maintained kitchen - clear for 4 days on the trot - and - my husband put his own stuff away as the kitchen was clear! That's a big win! And I did another daily wash load to try and get on top of the mountain.

Small steps, but going forward.

Decided that my target will 1,500 items. I am not going to count normal rubbish and recycling as that would go out everyday.
Will list what I've got rid off tomorrow as my eyes are nearly shut.

I haven’t been able to keep up with the posts today! Seems like everyone is doing fantastically though ☺️

Today we did a big job and cleared out a big garden storage box type thing which was fully rammed. We want to use it as a wood/kindling store. It did contain a lot of wood (offcuts and scraps - some to use in other projects and some to burn in the chiminea). But also junk. Two black bags out along with three old holey tarps and two plastic storage boxes which were cracked. I’m going to count this as 7 items out bringing me to 10/21 this fortnight.

I was emptying the dishwasher and thinking how I hadn't decluttered anything and then dropped a mug 49
forgot old medicines dropped off yesterday 50- 52
Did little today but a couple of key admin tasks 53-54 and more medicines ready to drop off 55-56.

I achieved nothing today but I did spend a few hours playing board games with my kids so worth the lack of any decluttering.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT

2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING 
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)

Well that is another day done & dusted - I can’t believe 3 days have gone 😱 After the brief glimpse of sun & blue sky it stayed damp & dreary all day. Earnest wasn’t here for long today - DSis kept a few of the cards, the rest were split between bin & recycling. The only other thing I did was clear a few more programmes from the TV planner. Once I have posted I will be knitting - decided on a beanie 🙂 Dinner was lo pork, lo sausages, some lo mash fried, mash, peas & baked beans. Washing up done ✅ 

36 - 38 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, Christmas cards recycled
39 - 40 Kitchen detritus, glittery Christmas cards binned

Excellent work tryingtoavoiddebt 👏 Already 20% of the way towards your target 🤩 Decluttering plans tend to be a bit fluid 😉 you might start one thing then get distracted by something else but if you notice the difference then your decluttering is a success 👏

You really ARE  on a Decluttering Mission elsien 👏🥳 Not only physical decluttering but mental decluttering 👏👏 - I will bet a pound to a penny that starting to sort out an electrician & an IFA was far less difficult than you built it up to be 😉😉

Bkack_Saturn my DH says he hates clutter but getting him to throw anything away is almost impossible.

Morning all up bright and early today roll on Feb half term lol. Plan for today declutter more of yarn stash into makes. Clean bathroom and get rid of old bubble baths etc. Unpack and recycle a couple of big boxes should make another bag of stuff gone in a green way hope you all have a good day
