2021 MISSION DECLUTTER and CLEAN

I came to say I did nothing today but then I remembered I popped a few bits on Olio which will be collected later today & Monday. I also downloaded the app for my wardrobe stuff. I've decided to clear out my understairs cupboard tomorrow. It's a terrifying thought but we can barely find our shoes in there for all the junk so it needs doing. Hopefully I won't need search and rescue to come in and pull me out!

Morning MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well I have decluttered the food shelves in our pantry this morning, it's an old fashioned one, so there is plenty of space in there to store stuff (and forget about it if you're not careful 😄). Last time I did it was in April when I was furloughed so it was due a tidy up. My wife is shopping today, so I'm hoping she will comment (hopefully) on the effort and it helps her plan what to buy. So not much to throw out, six large bottles of diet coke in various states of volume. Most of which have gone flat. We appear to have been collecting them when we were purchasing takeaway meals every so often last year. One half full bottle of slimline tonic (flat) and some empty bits of cardboard and plastic for recycling.
We have a lot of baking goods in our pantry so am going to make Yorkshire Parkin now with some of the leftovers. Will keep in touch with the thread and update with my decluttering successes on the weekends now. Cheers 🙂

....you know you're getting hooked on decluttering when you cant sleep and instead of counting sheep you imagine and count the items that are destined to go out the next day!
Or is it me ?21 -
Quick tidy round this morning and oven cleaned before everyone was up. Ironing up to date, one old bra binned and 4 gift bags that have seen better days. I’m also going include the bag of rubbish I took out of the conservatory, all junk, sweetie wrappers etc my OH left at his bum 🙄 (82/500). He’s worse than the children!
Off to make pancakes with the kids and then get the rest of the decs down!
Happy Sunday everyone x17 -
Some more done
52 an advent calendar recycled
53-55 candle remains
56+57 more seed catalogues had a quick look and then put them in recycling. In the past I would have kept them for a while before putting them out.
I think that's all for now.16 -
I'm a bit tardy to the decluttering party. In 2021 I shall declutter:
- My home office which is an absolute tip at the moment
- The spare room because it has been used as a bit of a dumping ground
- The large cupboard in the utility room which is jam packed

I'm so impressed with everyone's decluttering!
Day 3 of the Minimalists Challenge:
1) pair of much loved but very holey socks to textile recycling (tried to get them counted as 2, DH wasn't having it)
2) bunch of make up I don't use packaged up to post to Give and Makeup when PO is opened
3) pocket mirror added to CS bag.

Morning all. I'm going to crack on and sort a couple of my kitchen cupboards out tomorrow as they have gotten ridiculous in the almost 2 months I've been living here
but today I shall try and declutter some things from the freezer by eating them. I had a mad freezing of everything session a few weeks back as I didn't want anything to go off but I need to actually eat some of it now

Black_Saturn said:Sabah al-khair to you all. I have been doing more of the cleaning rather than the decluttering, this morning. The sitting room is looking more presentable. There are still toys on the floor, thanks to my little boy who is a mess monster. I have a question with regards to disposable pull-up nappies. Where is best to donate them, and also, there are two open packs amongst the unopened - can they also be donated, or should they go to the waste bin? I thought of the local charity shop, but is this something they would want? Then I thought about food bank donations, but are they collecting in these times?16
