Got off to a good start today but still need to give kitchen a good clean later in the week. I found some descaler in an overflow cleaning stash in garage - kettle still has some scale left so will try overnight with white vinegar.
1034 - newspaper read from cover to cover and recycled
1035 - Competition postcards posted
1036 - Presentation done for U3A group on Wednesday
1037 - Caught up on all competitions and surveys - another Amazon voucher - only £4 but it adds up.
1038 - Picture for CS
1039 - Cupboard shelf racks to CS ( too tall for my cupboards)
1040 - Descaled kettle
1041 -1042 Boxes to loft - I each end. I have 2 loft ladders as very shallow loft divided in half by massive water tank
1043 - Filing done
1044 - Bed cot side to go to recycling section at tip on my way to Mr T
I only have children 1 night this week so will pop to small Mr T to get some things on the way to fetch them from school (I have a £1.50 voucher to use at Mr T) - there is a CS nearby as well.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Kept up with the watering of the husband 😉😉🤣 He was feeling quite a bit better as evidenced by fewer visits to the bathroom 🙂 but being online with his friends who kept on about Covid19, DH booked an appointment for a lateral flow test - not feeling quite so well by the time he struggled back but result was Negative 🥳🥳Upshot of DH being unwell is that he is 7kg lighter than Thursday but sunstroke is not recommended as a diet plan ☹️ Dinner was cottage pie with boiled cabbage & DH did manage to eat a small portion.Monday it was scorching hot by 8:00 a.m. - I had gotten up & dressed in order to cancel a doctor’s appointment (for a health check) - I can do without being nagged about lockdown lard 😉 Builder turned up to collect the last of his tools from neighbour J & return our spade 🙂 Phoned surgery @ 8:08 (19th in queue) finally answered 8:44 & call completed by 8:45 🙄 i.e. 37 minutes on the phone with about 37 seconds taken to cancel the appointment 🙄 DH woke up feeling a bit better but then came over all peculiar & went back to sleep. I have dosed him with Dioralyte & he now has a mug of coffee & a pot noodle. I am just about to brave the outside & post some letters + do a small sm shop. Wish me luck 🤞
1146 - 1148 Kitchen recycling, newspaper, magazine - recycled
1149 Kitchen detritus - binned

Hi Peeps,
My weekend has been on a bit of a roll and that includes tidying 2 out of 5 fridges out at work that were hoarding a weeks shopping between them. There was so much mould in them I felt quite safe
Yesterday was a good productive day. We finally got a pile of donated wood moved from off the back of the driveway, it was treated to the chainsaw into sizeable pieces then spilt with my birthday present to me - electric log splitter and then placed into the log store. We just paced ourselves as DH has lung disease and the humidity and closeness of the heat we just had to. Also uncovered another large pile of logs that are sat waiting and drying out, even that looked tidier I'm happier now it looks better out of the back door.
As I needed the stored museli that was in the loft to sort into weighed out portions, I also, as I say to myself I have always to bring something else down. I managed to located some not used boxes they have there a while and found some items that need listing onto the bay. I did a small tidy round of not so empty boxes and plonked stuff that would fit into them. Moved into a better location a couple of Christmas bits so they are on one shelf. Found a gold cross in the bottom of a not very full box, belongs to DS that will now await for a new chain and placed away for GD in the future.
Used up the TGTG salad items that were not in best condition (we have had them for a week) also some fresh Jerseys given to us by a neighbour I managed to cobble together a lovely salad for tea.

Phew I have had a busy weekend.
Saturday was work. Boss would like me to work Wednesday and Thursday doing officy stuff. He must be mad,I can hardly use a computer. I will get it but old dogs, new tricks and all that. Not too sorry to be off the coal face with Joe Public. He can be challenging at times.
Sunday,we broke down the studio in the loft early doors before it got too hot.Just the desk still up there now. I emptied my gardening shed and condensed the contents into a sentry box. 2 blokes came to collect the shed. I live half way up a big hill, they carried the shed down the middle of the road to the bottom of the hill, then about half a mile after that. It was like carnival day with all the traffic crawling behind them. They should have just about got home by now!
DD1 and BF came later and we emptied Mr V's shed, dismantled it,took it to the new house, reassembled then took it's contents and refilled. A curry was most restorative.
Today, went to the tip and then shopping. Bought myself a new top from the chazzer. Evening wear! Just the thing for working in a cave. More cupboards emptied and packed. Just built in cupboard and under the sink to do.

Monday didn’t cool down until midnight when a very chilly breeze started & it looked like it might rain.My trip out met with mixed success - no prescription filled as I hadn’t realised the dentist didn’t put his stamp on 😔 Went into MrA to get the missing birthday cards I needed - managed 2 out of 8 - who knew that every child is aged 4, 14 or 15 🤣 However on the bright side I found a 1p in the chemist & a 1p in MrA. Managed to find most items on my shopping list but still no coleslaw 😔 MrA was quite busy & only about 5% of shoppers were wearing masks 😖 I know I have been double jabbed but feel that it is not that big a deal to wear a mask whilst in any shop - although I do whip it off as soon as I am outside 🙂 The bus was the same - 95% no masks. It was so hot that the short walk from the bus stop to home did wipe me out ☹️DH is definitely feeling better 🥳 I laid out salad bits for dinner & we all picked out what we wanted. Another small dinner for DH but he enjoyed it 🙂 All los were boxed & put in fridge & I did the wudupa quite early. I also made a start on the fridge - glass jar of nasty seafood sauce emptied, washed & recycled & part used tin of kidney beans binned.
Tuesday started cooler & a bit overcast, still cloudy but brightening up & getting warmer. DH left about 10:15 - taking motorbike in for repair to a heat sensor & then will meet up with his DSis & his niece for a quick catch-up 🙂 I will probably empty & clean the fridge & try to be brutal - may be a waste of food but our health is more important 🙂

What a busy & successful weekend 2Scratters 👏👏 Well done - one medal 🏅 on its way.
Wow vulpix 🤩 you have been busy 👏 See I knew you would be successful 🙂
I am awarding you a medal 🏅 for the picture of the 2 blokes & the shed - very Dave Allen - remember him? This led me off on a tangent to remembering the funeral race sketch 😂 If you have never seen it, it is well worth a watch 😉
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 I have visions of topless sunbathing 🤣 so sorry 😞 my mind does wander sometimes 🤣
Excellent work Happy_Kitties 👏 Good luck with clearing DM’s stuff so you can appreciate your new settee 🤞MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1155/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind. 3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Pleased to say I started on the fridge cleaning 😉 Have cleaned & sorted the door shelves. I was brutal - contents of 3 glass jars & 2 small metal tins binned, containers washed, dried & recycled. Also a plastic lemon - juice squirted round toilet rim 😉 Everything else wiped down & returned & enough space to take 2 items from a shelf 👏🙂
DH has just phoned - the original fault has been fixed BUT a new fault discovered - the water pump is knackered 😱 We have agreed that the garage can do the work rather than DH 😉 not very MSE initially but looking to the future, should be more cost effective 🤞He has had a quick meet up with DSis, DBiL & niece. Picking up the bike, getting the garage to order the part & then meeting the family again for another coffee 🙂

I finished cleaning the fridge inside & out. Had to throw out some houmous - about a third of a pot & some ood cream cheese which had started separating - pot washed, dried & recycled - the happy coincidence from my pov was that they were both DSis purchases 😉
