709. Morning Routine day 4/40
710. Garden done
711. Painted DS' bedroom floor
DS headed back to Uni today - It was lovely to see him. He was suitably appreciative of the painted floor in his room. I've been in a very good headspace for the past week but notice that it doesn't take much to make me wobble (had a BIG wobble yesterday) However, I've also noticed I seem to settle back down much quicker too - I feel fine again now... it's all very tiring...
I have a few days not working now and I'm hoping to recharge and catch up on some jobs around the house tomorrow...

have someone coming to put up blinds and help with a few other things so had to move things and tidy so he can get to windows!
1114 -1116 packaging recycled. had kept lots of small boxes eg, phones which I then keep other things in and think its counterproductive
1117 tin similar to boxes above
1118 -1120 paper declutter, emails deleted and unsubscribing
1121 - mini greenhouse thing in CS bag
1122-1123 filing and paper declutter again.
want to be bold enough to get rid of excess things where I still like them or think I may still fit back in but can't quite get there but the thought of moving which I may do in a couple of years time is v scary. Focuses my mind reading about Vulpix and others.8 -
Oooo,I would some of the rain some of you are having. So would my garden. I never water the garden but have had to water the strawberries this year as they were droopy.
Not much done today. Some packing of stuff to take to my Mums either to sell in the future or car boot. I don't want the hassle of selling now until after we move.
I spent a long time turning up a top I have had for years but didn't wear because it was the wrong length for me. I also did a fair bit of knitting which I am also going to give a rest till after the move.
I have started to make lists! So I don't forget anything.
We are trying to eat down the freezer contents. I had fishfingers and salad tonight!
Numbers tomorrow

Just plodding on.It’s been miserable all day and the rain started coming down quite heavily this afternoon.I managed to wash and drip dry lots of delicate bits and pieces which I’ll try on tomorrow and decide whether I keep or not. I’ve got seven bras which are obviously too big for me now so they will go off to a girls charity in the next few days.I’ve sorted my coats, jackets and cardis so far; i’m just taking a little break. I had to D clutter a dead mouse that PC brought in! That’s how he got the name Proud Charlie because he is so full of himself when he catches something. He has woken the whole house up in the past running round, chirping loudly and showing everybody his trophy. He doesn’t meow any other time so it took a while to get used to him ‘talking’ to us like that 😂😂
my wardrobe is crammed full of clothes that I’ve been given or acquired. I don’t particularly like them but I don’t care what I wear. The trouble is I haven’t been out for nearly 2 years now and I’m not used to wearing much at all 😂😂 Half of them are too big for me now and there is nothing worse on a scrawny old woman than ill-fitting clothes!I’m trying to build outfits around my favourite, most comfortable pieces. I’ve also got some really nice classics which are easy to include in a capsule wardrobe. I think what I’m trying to say is that I need to actively start choosing my clothes in future otherwise they just sit in the wardrobe, unworn, which is a waste. The irony is that, whilst I make very considered purchases and limit what comes into my house that way, I find it hard to say no to other people’s crap. I think of it as saving it from going to waste when really I am depriving someone else for use of it.On that note, i’ve given myself a headache so I’m going back up to my bedroom and think about places I’d like to go and what I’ll wear, while I sort these clothes. 😃10 -
1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Thursday was a cloudy, dark & damp day. Rained on & off all day but fortunately DH managed to avoid the rain when he went to MrS. In between rain showers he also managed to replace the bent safety bar from the motorbike. I wrote a menu plan for the next 5 days & will be using up a few more items from the kitchen freezer. Dinner was pork steaks with mash, last of the carrots from the fridge, tomatoes, sweetcorn & peas 😋 Some ood chicken & ham was fed to the fox.

Good work vulpix 👏 See I was correct - all your packing will be done in time 😉 Sorry to hear about MrV’s bad back ☹️ you worked him too hard 😉😉 You have led a varied life vulpix - a nanny in California 🤩 Did someone take you back or did you manage to get back yourself? What a tragedy & such a shame that the person couldn’t ask for help ☹️ I am very impressed with the weight loss - you will be a svelte mother of the groom 👏 Lists are our friends 😉
Good luck with the peanut butter SanguineGina 🤞
Good work Happy_Kitties 👏
EnergyShifter, very pleased that your DS appreciated his newly painted floor 🙂 It would appear that looking after yourself is reaping dividends - a wobble but a quick recovery 🙂Great work GrannyKate 👏Steady progress oceanspirit 👏
Great work TC77 👏 Perhaps just try to declutter the clothes that you like least.Wow 3secondmemory 🤩 you have been busy 👏 Just remember you deserve to wear nice clothes 🙂 You must learn to say ‘no’ when people offer items of clothing & prompt them to donate to cs 😉 I must admit I am guilty of not caring what I wear 😔 although I do try to look smart when we go out.MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1184/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind. Good Morning,
3second memory, I too am prone to saving other peoples cast offs. I hate waste. Love your cat's name. One of mine has become known as FOMO (fear of missing out) as he definitely is nosy.
Mrs SD, I was with a friend at the beach. I was due to come home so I had a full day sunbathing and body surfing to top up my tan. Stood up to leave and just crumpled into a heap. She had a car. Yes, I have tried to have a purposeful life. I have solo travelled, been a Nanny in Canada and lived all over Britain. I just came back like a salmon when I had children in my 30's. Now they have gone my time will come again and when I can, more adventures await.
421. work trousers too big Mr V also slimming
422. work top as above
423. shoes never worn too big. My feet have shrunk a bit.
424. shoes and matching bag. never used
426. walking boots too big
427. set of 8 placemats and matching coasters, never used.
428. sink drainer thingy
429. nice watch in box that I never wear.
Today I will do what I say I am going to and not be seduced by knitting. I WILL finish packing the kitchen, make a chicken dinner, do some washing. I have a dilemma over a shoe box. For goodness sake!!!!! But it could be useful. I will bite the bullet and recycle.

Another large (jumbo, plastic, plaid) bag with shoes, toys, clothes, .... gone to relatives in Africa! The container where we are allowed to add personal stuff is leaving on Saturday, so I'm really glad I managed to get this out of the house in time.

ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Friday is another rainy day but at least I don’t have to water the garden 🌈 Apparently I missed the really heavy downpour at 8:30 a.m. 😉 DH has taken DSis to hospital for her diabetes eye health check - on their way back now. I have had just enough time to thoroughly descale the kettle - it almost looks new 😁I keep thinking it is the weekend 🙄 just cannot seem to get myself in the mood for a sustained burst of activity either decluttering or cleaning 😔1185 - 1186 Cardboard packaging, cardboard box - recycled
1187 - 1188 Used kettle filter, lr detritus - binnedGreat work on the decluttering vulpix 👏 A “purposeful life” what a lovely description ☺️ as was the salmon analogy 🙂 Canada is beautiful - I have had 2 holidays there - one solo shanks pony & public transport & one with DH motorcycle tour. Would like to go back at some point. I would have kept the shoebox to throw the odd little bits in when you do your last sweep of the house 😉Excellent work Siebrie 👏 Hope your ‘other plans’ are well in hand 😉MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1188/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind.
