@short_bird very impressed with the photo declutter
1129 -1130 finally got rid of some large polythene sheet that was taking up a huge storage area which I can now put DDs footballs.
1131-1132 tidied 2 rooms -only small bits out but feels better and not tripping over things, put things on shelves rather than the floor
1133-1134 paper and electronic declutter
1135 - 1136 admin chores done/emails etc

712 & 3 - morning routine day 5 & 6/40
I have a few days not working now and I'm hoping to recharge and catch up on some jobs around the house tomorrow...
I was less successful on catching up with jobs around the house ... although I managed to pack up a couple of returns which I'd been ridiculously procrastinating on... and I'm up to date with washing & washing up - so maybe not so bad after all even if there are a lot of things remaining on my list
714. - Morning routine day 7/40 (only partially completed at the weekend so not counted)
715. Crystal to Niece
716. Returned items to M&S
Love to all ... x

Thanks, @TC77. I get on a roll and the decisions seem to be relatively easy and it doesn't take a lot of concentration - more importantly, it doesn't need physical space to be able to sort something out and get rid of it!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

3 trips to the charity shop - 2 bags at a time on the bus. Mainly bedding and clothes I’ll never wear.Son dropped by unexpectedly this morning and has taken a lovely lamp that doesn’t fit my colour scheme. If only he had been here yesterday to drop all the other stuff in one go.I said No to a grey goat offered by my daughter. I already have 4 in the wardrobe and one still has tags on.This afternoon I intend to sort out all the old mobile phone boxes, fitness trackers, instructions, chargers and guarantees, and I have a box of sellables - royal memorabilia, 1950’s collar boxes, old powder compacts, coins etc.The rep from the cruise company rang back as arranged this morning, but with my son here, I didn’t actually want to talk to him. I haven’t told the children that I’m considering going away by myself - especially in Covid times. Now my son is under the wrong impression about why I have an Italian gentleman caller 😂😂😂11

Binned an electric kettle, it's finally given up the ghost. DH did fix it and it lasted another month but now have to use my 'van kettle until I get another, unfortunately it's so slow, you have to decide you're in need of a hot drink 3hrs ahead 😂2 more green waste bins out for collection tomorrow along with a box of recycling.Take care all, nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Sunday started with rain then was overcast & dark for the whole day although the rain held off until late evening 🙂 DH watched the MotoGP races then decided to do some gardening so I joined him. The back garden was in a very sorry state 😔 So DH started with the strimming - in sections. First section was the area containing the bags/pots of potato plants. So I could deal with the plants - I took my time removing dead foliage, topping up with extra compost then staking all the plants whilst DH continued with the rest of the strimming. I have a confession to make 😔 I never used the chard - it went to seed so has been composted 😔 DH also trimmed the hedge & a big task - planted out the silver birch (my silver wedding anniversary present) We were out for about 90 minutes & managed to avoid the rain. Looks a lot tidier BUT there is still a lot of work to do. Finally one of the blackberry bushes will provide some fruit 🥳 must put something in place to make sure we get the fruit & not the birds 😱 + the lots of the tomato plants are finally looking like they might become properly fruit bearing - time to start staking.
Dinner was spaghetti Bolognese - sauce from freezer.Monday is another wet & miserable day. DH has just come back from giving blood.1196 - 1203 Kitchen recycling, plastic bottle, 4 newspapers, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
1204 - 1208 Kitchen detritus, broken bucket, 2 empty compost bags, garden detritus - binnedExcellent work vulpix 👏 Good news about the tenant 🙂 everything is coming together very nicely 👏 as proved by your 2nd post 🙂 What a great family you have - pitching in to help 👏 - medals 🏅🏅🏅all round 🙂 Remember you have done a great job decluttering & reducing your possessions 👏 Also you need to remember that regardless of the amount of stuff you still have it is all in boxes & you will have the time to sort it out 😃I am on your side about sorting the new garden before the studio 😉😉
Sorry to hear about DB3, GrannyKate ☹️ Hopefully he is a lot better & it will be so nice to see him. What a lovely person you are - giving DS2 a rest & looking after your GCs 👏“ The best thing about the decluttering is I have so much empty space and things are quickly and easily put straight away. For me that is the biggest psychological boost and knowing there are not boxes and cupboards of unknown stuff lurking. There are some physical things left but a lot of the remainder will be on the computer - I try to do a few everyday” Thank you for this - a very succinct & helpful reminder to us all of why we are decluttering (or in my case ‘trying to’ 😉) Re the stationery aisle - I believe you 😉 and am very impressed that you are resisting the temptation 🏅
I love reading your posts 3secondmemory 🙂 Informative, chatty & like sitting with a friend just ‘shooting the breeze’ You come away feeling happier & counting your blessings. Good luck with the selling 🤞Great work with cs drop-offs 👏 I think it is serendipitous that your
son was there when the cruise gentleman phoned 😂 shows him that his mum can still surprise him 😉😉 No wonder you said no to your daughter - 4 goats 🐐 in the wardrobe must make it pretty crowded & they eat everything 🤣😂😅 I know, I know but sometimes typos catch me unawares 🤣
Great work short_bird 👏 Please don’t overwork your printer when he/she comes back 😉😉 Agree with TC77 about the photos 👏Excellent work oceanspirit 👏 one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂 You will get there oceanspirit 🙂 but sometimes it seems never ending 😔 Try to remember that it took a long time to unconsciously build up the clutter but it will take less time to consciously get rid of it 🙂 I know you can do it, you just need to remind yourself that you are a successful declutterer 🙂 Just read your 2nd post - see I was correct 😉😉Wow bit_by_bit 🤩 50 year old shelves & window doors repurposed & still in use 👏 you are certainly doing your bit to save the planet 👏 Very impressed that you are not only doing your decluttering but also BiL & SiL’s decluttering 👏Full success EnergyShifter - you are rested 👏🙂 your ‘life batteries’ are now fully recharged 🙂 and you have ticked off several items from your to do list 👏Shame about the kettle nannywindow ☹️ not advertising but do you subscribe to A*a*o* P as today & tomorrow they are running a promotion? you might find a new kettle. Btw great work in the garden 👏MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1208/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Thanks for your kind comments Mrs SD. I actually bought myself some new clothes today - only 2 pairs of crop trousers but I was totally annoyed Mr M*t*l*n had gone over to self service tills. Of course one of my items had no barcode on it so I had to wait for help. I have been wearing the same clothes for the last 15 months and they are getting ragged round the edges. Don't want to buy much as still hopeful of further weight loss. I went to car wash and it started raining just as I was leaving - managed to get home before washing on line got really wet.
