706. Morning routine - day 3/40
707. Citronella candle with lots of dead insects stuck in it - never actually lit the thing....
708. bikini top) . While he's been away I had taken up the carpet in his room and prepared the floorboards for painting but hadn't been able to face the task. I'd also dumped stuff in there as a temporary measure So this morning before work I painted his floor & sorted his room - if you don't look to closely it looks amazing. Given the extremely short notice it would have been fair enough for me to just leave it but I'm really glad its done now...
709. Morning Routine day 4/40
710. Garden done
711. Painted DS' bedroom floor
- @MrsSD - I see what you mean about topless sunbathing

I decluttered to Devon for a couple of days to sort my head out.
I’ve been singing nursery rhymes, sorting shapes and making animal noises for 48 hours and I feel a whole lot better🤪
this afternoon’s train trip back was really good and I liked the look of my new sitting room when I got home! Proud Charlie looks quite at home

Thanks @mrssd. Yes very happy to have her home, she is a delight to live with and i miss her. Maybe in a few months she will have a job and move away so taking all the moments I can with her.
I also have another deadline in that DSis wants to come in October half term with her DH and 2 DD. This means more pressure but actually it is very doable.
Toight I downloaded a load of pics of stuff to sell. I need to get on with that as stuff is sitting and gathering dust.

@3secondmemory Charlie looks very comfy and content. Mrs SD glad Mr SD on the mend
@Vulpix thanks for kind words,
Haven't been here for a while, weekend was supporting at a distance , DD1 who was supporting her friend who lost her mum tragically. Really made me think and how some people seem to suffer many losses within a short timescale.
Abit done with 8 hangers back to st michael to recycle 1080 - 1087
3 other hanger 1088- 1090
sports shoes and cat bed to recycle 1091 - 1092
DVD, earphones to CS bag 1093 - 1094
electronic declutter, paper declutter and unsubscribing 1095-1097
Spotted small furry thing by french doors (just inside) and new large cat tried to catch but too much stuff - all the shed stuff inside while waiting for new shed so an incentive to get more stuff done. Hoping just a visiting mouse as not seen other activity!
1098 - 1100 small areas cleared of small bits, and hoovered under desk, spare room, and kitchen and some wire wool in small holes.
Card sent, keyboard lost its letters (or the popular ones) so arranged for new one to be sent, and some other admin tasks/chores 1101 - 1104.
Have tried to keep up with all the activity but may have missed some. Hoping everyone looking after themselves and taking care.10 -
Forgot a few things and keen to keep my nos up
1105 sports bras returned for dd2
1106 ood food ,( feels v wasteful but also made me use up other foods and cook)

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉The cottage pie was delicious but the corn on the cob was tasteless & went straight in the compost bin ready to be zizzed & used as worm food. Wudupa.1166 - 1168 Drinks cans, plastic bottle, cardboard packaging - recycled
1169 Kitchen detritus - binnedFloss, fortunately not due to fridge roulette - purely & simply he got sunstroke from doing too much work in the garden during the hottest part of the day with no hat plus not taking on board enough liquids 😱 He did that for 3 days in a row 😔
Very impressed EnergyShifter 👏 I hope your DS was appreciative 😉
Absolutely love it 3secondmemory 😂👏bit_by_bit, I think most of us are just happy to be able to see family again 🙂 Good luck with the selling 🤞
Good work oceanspirit 👏
Thanks TC77 👏 DH is definitely a lot better, but still exhausted & was in bed before midnight 😉 Supporting from a distance is so difficult but will be appreciated. Excellent decluttering 👏 Our mice know not to venture in the house - they have plenty of food outside. One family appears to be living under one of the wormeries & a 2nd family under the shed 😉 DSis just called me outside to see a teeny weeny mouse gorging itself on peanut butter by being inside the jar which is affixed to the olive tree 😁 Shame about the ood food but better safe than sorry 🙂MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1169/20212021 Savings Pot: £164.80 to end of JuneBe Kind. It’s the last day of full sunshine for a week or so, so I’m headed off to the beach. I bought a mini wetsuit yesterday at the Tesco superstore in Roborough. £20 but we had friends and colleagues discount on top of that. It’s just to keep the wind chill off my skinny bones and protect me from the UV. I’ve been looking at full-length ones for cold water swimming but they are too hard to get in and out of. I struggle with yoga pants - getting them on sometimes is a workout in itself 😂
i’m skint, everything is on hold – the whole ADHD coach experience wasn’t a waste of money at all, even though it wasn’t a total success.
although my ADHD has been triggered by anxiety, it appears that success is also another trigger! it’s so long since I’ve had any though, I didn’t realise 😂😂😂
anyway, live and learn! i’m definitely in a better place than I was a month ago. One of my goals for this year was to make this home my own;safe and comfortable. Who knew it could be so hard? 😂
back to pacing 101- I guess I wasn’t paying attention when they were talking about realistic expectations 🤪
TC77 - i’ve often wondered who would be there for my children if anything happened to me, and you’ve reassured me. It will be ordinary everyday life savers like you. Thank you - it’s appreciated10 -
Hope everyone keeps well and enjoys last of sun. Weight loss is not going well - I need to stick with it. I lost 2 stone before so I can do it again. Mrs SD - years ago one of my children got sunstroke whilst helping at a kid's outdoor activity day, crashed the car on her way home and ended up in hospital. Only minor injuries thankfully but not a nice thing to get. I have some plans (which appear to be ok under Boris' rules) to spend a few days with my brother down South at the end of next week and take GS1 who has finished school and has nothing to do. GS2 has been sent home for 10 days to isolate due to case in his class. We have also booked a family weekend away quite near to my house for end of October half term. Not much childcare for the rest of this week just the school run this afternoon. Dining room floor however remains like a large toy car park as GS4 says he will see me over the weekend so it can stay out!
Took myself out for a drive yesterday and ended up having a late lunch at favourite antique centre so bought some more old postcards of places of interest. Two zoom meetings today - one sharing holiday pictures this morning and a talk from a Sussex History Group this evening - one of great things about zoom is joining in these as too far to travel in person.
1045-1054 Folders of old photos checked and copied or deleted.
1055 Postcards scanned in and shared with local history site then filed.
1056 Stuff already counted all disposed of - loft, CS, recycling and tip.
1057 More weeding of drive and patio - nearly done but it is a very large area. I had yet another person knock to offer to do it (I didn't ask how much) but I can do it myself albeit slowly and it is a type of exercise. I've also had people wanting to prune my trees, clean my roof and a caller from HMRC wanting me to press a number on the keypad!!
Stay safe and well.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟
