I weighed myself this morning ready for diet. I lost 2 stones last year but managed to put 1 back on again. At least I am starting from a lower weight this time.
995 - Coffee pods machine re-homed. Replaced with simple filter machine which I am actually using.
996 - Manual to recycling
997 - Box of plant labels sorted and most thrown away (the labels not the plants)
998 - Seeds sorted - a few I will never use but getting some more compost to plant more out this week
999 - Repurposed bird table to hang baskets from in greenhouse. Been in garden about 8 years and for some reason birds do not use it at all.
1000 - (yippee) Quiz questions done for Thursday's zoom meeting
1001 - Papers downloaded and read for committee I have re-joined. First meeting tomorrow.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Hi, I had a good tidy in the kitchen and cleared all the worktops but not the island. Packed 2 banana boxes. emptied the tea towel drawer. washed, dried and remade our bed. washed and dried another load of washing. Still plenty of stuff on the kitchen floor. Also hoovered downstairs.
This evening one of the sheds was emptied the shed dismantled and rebuilt at the other end. A few things binned, the remainder taken to the new house and shed re filled. Another 2 sheds to do. They are only small, like a bike shed with double doors at the front.
385. bird feeder
386. bath shelf thing.don't know what they are called.
387. big box of shreddy stuff for use in hampers, don't know what that is called either .given away at craft club.
I am at work tomorrow. Being PA to the boss! I asked him if he was sure, he said I was very organised at work and would be great. My expectations are not as high as his!

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Tuesday has been a gloriously sunny & hot day. DH left at 8:00 a.m. on a Round Britain Rally trip - up to Norwich & environs - got home 6:30 p.m. having had a really good day 🙂
DSis spent hours on the phone trying to sort out her prescription meds - recently signed up to Pharmacy2U for delivery to the door. Unfortunately she needs specific brands of medications & all they have managed to do is send one lot of the wrong brand - this is out of 5 prescription meds 😠 Her old pharmacy FINALLY admitted that they had been unable to get the one specific medication for a year & now it seems that the new pharmacy are having problems as well having CATEGORICALLY assured her they could get the specific brand - the only reason she signed up 🙄 Anyway the old pharmacy now has the other 4 meds which she can pick up tomorrow but still missing the one she has run out of - she is stressed & I despair 😩 As the day was so nice, I stripped our bed, washed all the bedding& line dried 90% of it 👏 I had half a bowl of the hm soup which had been livened up by the addition of some nutritional yeast. Cooked sausage, mash & plum tomatoes for DH & DSis. I had a salad - comprised of hard boiled eggs, hg lettuce & hg radishes together with green pepper, cherry tomatoes, celery, spring onions, potato salad & coleslaw with a simple dressing of white wine vinegar, olive oil & salt. Wudupa.

Good work EnergyShifter 👏 Especially the increase in height 🙂 have you been hanging from the rafters 😉😉😉
Great work TC77 👏 Try not to feel overwhelmed TC77 - you are doing a grand job 🙂You are very welcome vulpix & I am glad that MrV is pleased with his award 🙂 You are being way too harsh on yourself wagging finger emoji 😉 You are doing plenty & wisely keeping up with the things that give you pleasure 👏 as just decluttering & packing when you are also working will just lead to stress ☹️ You have 16 days which includes 2 full weekends. So knowing how good you are at organising your time I believe you will be able to enjoy your son’s wedding knowing that you just have to walk through the house & check that you have left nothing 🙂 Now as to your book - as long as you keep your research going & together you will find time to write it 🙂 Banff is beautiful - I had a 3 week holiday there in the ‘90s 🥳 Might I ask what type of book your son has written?I told you that you are well organised & doing a good job of decluttering 👏🙂🙂🙂That was a huge declutter Siebrie 👏🙂 - 3 full bin bags 🤩

Had a lovely time with my youngest - having the use of his car for 24 hours made such a difference; I got rid of loads of smaller items yesterday to multiple destinations which saved me so much time. The side of my house still looks like Steptoe’s yard - I need to stay in for the Bins today so I can refill my Garden Refuse bags while they are here 😃 most of the wood from the ash has been collected but I’ve also started dismantling a 15ft rusty fir tree in the corner. Now I know exactly where the hogbabies are, I can start getting ready to have the space cleared for my patioProud Charlie can’t believe his luck now he’s the only cat - finally all the attention is his 😂 And he’ll never starve - I still have a massive store of veterinary food that I accidentally over-ordered a while back, although he loves fresh chicken so he’s having a chicken thigh every day atm.I made £60 selling a rug and 2 serving dishes on FB which was a pleasant bonus. I invested £5 of that in a watergun - partly to see off another grey cat and partly to stop these cocky magpies stealing my peas.Once the Recycling has been done, I’m off to check out new curtains at Dunelm. That in turn is enough motivation to clean my windows in prep 😃
it’s a beautiful day here, hope everyone gets to enjoy a little bit of sunshine 😃9 -
3secondmemory,Hogbabies? do you have hedgehogs? jealous if you do.
TC77 Please don't be in awe of me. If I wasn't moving I would struggle for numbers. I have more energy now I have lost a few stone. I feel so much better. Also agreeing to an end of June date is me trying to be helpful to the people moving in. They will save 3K of tax if they complete before June 30th. I assure you unpacking at the other end will not be as swift!
Ds book was written in Banff. It is about a group of friends from a small town (where he was brought up) who meet for a funeral. He was inspired by a plaque he saw on a bridge in Canada. It is a nice feelgood story. He wrote a very unusual native myth type short story and at my request 2 absolutely corking children's stories. I read a children's Christmas story on the radio for a few years but couldn't find suitable ones which didn't rely on pictures and was under 3 minutes. The book he has been wanting to write for several years is about a whale. Of course I am his Mum but I am also a reader and I don't think I am being biased. Working with young children for 20 years as I did as a literacy specialist I used to despair at books people thought were suitable for the very young, and that includes a lot of very popular books.
Must go to work!!! Vx:10 -
