Hello all, hope you are well. Virtual, gentle hugs coming your way if not. 🤗I had a birthday this weekend and now I'm a OAP......... What ? Think that crept up on me, perhaps now I should act my age and not my shoe size as the saying goes...... Nah! I can't see that happening anytime soon 😁In the recycling lots of food packaging, birthday paper and boxes and a few paper plates from my small family party. Plenty of food into tummies too, but I shouldn't have had 2 portions of the chocolate birthday cake, that's certainly blown my diet !! Lots of leftovers still in the fridge ready for consuming today 😋 Sadly no chocolate cake left (my favourite) but there is some strawberry gateau. Oh well, that will just have to do 🤭Ready for the cs a large carrier bag full of toy cars and figures and a brand new Unicorn sticker book as both DGC too old for those now.Take care all, happy decluttering.nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Today's progress:-
9 items paperworkDecluttering Awards: 🏅🏅8 -
A few more for the weekend.
984 - E mail cull
985 - 3 gift bags used from stash
986 - Bag of general rubbish to tip
987 - Large cardboard box to recycling at tip
988 - Old whiteboard to tip
989 - Old floor lamp to recycling section at tip - keep moving it around but no-one wants it - late MIL had a much nicer one which I have kept
990 - Large plastic box to recycling at tip - too heavy to lift when full - I have taken to using a smaller size (is that a sign of ageing). I do have one really large one in garage for my stash of household goods like washing powder, toilet rolls etc. Christmas and Easter things are in big boxes in loft but only come down once a year. I may get smaller boxes for them next year and perhaps get rid of some. DD bought some Easter things to add to the boxes but not too many.
991 - DVDs which DD brought taken to DS2 for keeping or taking too charity shop.
992 - Fridge sorted and leftovers from last week binned
Need to get small people dressed and ready for school then I need to go shopping. Diet restarts today.

OK Granny Kate I am with you. No more ice cream, no more pizza. I want to feel comfortable in my dress at the wedding.
Well a very successful day yesterday. Mr V sorted every piece of clothing he owns including his dressing up bag. To explain he was a professional DJ and did a 70's tour in the 90's where he had several costumes. Some were kept as he still gigs doing 70's and halloween nights etc,not in recent times though. Some were unworn but he has lost weight now.
The loft was emptied ,it was too hot to dismantle the studio. Several sales, yesss! How glad am I to get rid of 40 large planks of wood some 8ft tall aka librarary shelves.
Today Mr V has a follow up appointment for the operation he had in Sheffield. We will go food shopping whilst we are there and treat Mr V to some new clothes.

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Sunday turned out to be a mainly dry day (but not as sunny as Saturday) so did manage to get the motorbiking clothes fully dried. I harvested the last 2 radishes - 30 in total which was a 500% increase on last year’s harvest 🥳 Sliced all 9 radishes, kept back 2 for dinner & blanched & froze the rest. Fortunately DH has started our next crop & we already have seedlings on the kitchen windowsill 👏 🙂 I also made a soup with the tired vegetables from the fridge. DH spent the day watching the MotoGP races. The rain never really materialised so had to water the garden ☹️ Dinner was salad with hg lettuce & hg radishes 🙂
Monday has dawned bright, sunny & warm. DH has been busy doing various odd jobs in the garden & garage. I am trying to summon up the energy to do something/anything 😉1101 - 1107 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, 2 magazines, drinks cans, cardboard packaging - recycled
1108 Kitchen detritus - binnedWhat a delightful picture 3secondmemory - lifts the spirits 😁Wow Wednesday2000 you have been busy 🤩👏 How exciting - looking for a new home - made a lot easier by restrictions loosening 🙂 One medal 🏅 on its way for the thinning out of your toiletries stash 👏
Excellent work GrannyKate 👏 If you can keep up the pace you should reach your target by the 30th 🤞 I have every faith in your success 🙂 Love it GrannyKate - planning next year’s decluttering 🙂👏
vulpix, I am really looking forward to you starting your book 🙂 Surely you will be finished by 11:00 am. 😉😉🙃😉😉 Then you can redecorate the entire house by teatime 🤣😂😉 You have been busy - excellent news on the sales 👏 MrV has earned a Gold Star ⭐️ for his efforts on clothing 🙂 Fingers crossed that the follow up appointment goes well 🤞
oceanspirit , I know 100 items per month sounds a lot BUT if you can manage 4 items per day you will hit your target with room to spare 🤞 You have already made a flying or should that be flinging start 👏 Well done on the email decluttering - well on target 👏
Sounds like a wonderful birthday nannywindow 🙂 I quite agree you should act your shoe size 🤣 far more fun than acting your age 🤣😉😉 enjoy the strawberry gateau 🙂😉MrsSD 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1108/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. Forgot to weigh myself so diet may start tomorrow. First weight decluttering target is 20lbs. I have reset my savings targets - looks a bit of a challenge but I am glad to report my unexpected expenditure over the last few months was 85% covered by the savings I made between January and May. Only a small dip into capital. Not going to get too fussed about it but I do want to replace my car.

Thank you for Mr V's award Mrs SD,he is very pleased.
I need to take a leaf out of his book and do all my hanging clothes too. When I do a car boot sale I will take several of my coats that are now too big. This is the trouble when I can't just be ruthless and take everything to the chazzer. They don't want winter coats just now I don't think.
I know it sounds like I am a Dervish but I am on a tight schedule. My buyers want to complete before the end of June and I have a several day wedding in the mix, so basically everything has to be done before we leave for Oxford on the 25th. I don't feel like I do enough. Pottered about in Sheffield yesterday and knitted baby hats all evening. Once I move I predict that life at Vulpix Towers will quieten down. Well apart from the epic new garden building! It's like the lost gardens of Heligan.
I will declare what I will do today. My kitchen is a bomb site. I will pack at least 2 more boxes. All the big/awkward things are waiting for attention on the island and have now spread onto the floor too. This afternoon I am going to craft club.
As for the book I doubt I will ever do it. My son writes and he has had an idea for a book for several years but as subject head at a high school he doesn't have the time. He lived in Canada for a couple of years in Banff. He wrote plenty there. Including a very good novel that he needs feedback on. If anyone cares to read it,pm me. He knows the end needs tweaking but at the moment just doesn't have the time or brain space.
Granny kate, I had a good day yesterday, food wise. I am aiming for 6 pounds before the 25th June.

We had a note through the door from a charity that they would come and pick up any textiles, even with small defects. I put out 3 full bin bags! They may have contained some toys, but I didn't bother checking, it was all destined for a charity shop, and I was glad to be rid of all that stuff!
