The rest of Monday was lots of rain with short bursts of sunshine. DH & I finished the hm soup for lunch & DH did the washing up, I dried & put away. I harvested another 7 radishes - 4 of them are enormous 😉 I also made a large & a small apple & hg rhubarb crumbles. Both the rhubarb & crumble mix came from the freezer 🙂 Dinner was a repeat of last night - hm cottage pie with broccoli. About an hour later we had crumble & custard 🤤

Morning MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well my weekend was spent planting seeds in pots and also deweeding the flags in our back yard. Filled up a good quarter of a bin bag with the detritus from deweeding the flags. Very productive. The seeds which were planted were salad leaves, chicory. The courgette plant is now outside and looking good in its big pot. I decluttered our office stationery cupboards on Friday morning, does that count as well? Also made a rhubarb crumble on Saturday, delicious with custard, had some last night, cheers 🙂10

Had a new fridge freezer delivered as our old one was making very strange noises and sounded to be on its way out.
649 - packaging from fridge freezer
650 magnet from freezer binned
651 notes stuck on old freezer shredded
652 -655 various bits of food binned - no idea what they were! I now have a good idea of what we have and freezer is sorted so I know where things are. I will be able to reduce my shopping bills for a while.
656-657 plastic plant pots binned after DH shredded them with the strimmer.
That's all for now. The fridge freezer is being collected in Wednesday so hasn't gone yet.9 -
Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger. It has taken me since September to be able to build up to walking that far. My goal was to be able to walk the 3 miles to work (and then 3 home) if I had to go back to the office. And the 8 miles was mostly nice and flat too!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9

Hi folks.
I have been in a packing frenzy. Not a lot identified to go unless I obviously won't want it at the next house. Some things I will decide about at the other end. The large spare bedroom is now empty of furniture and I have started to store packed stuff in there.
Today a chest of drawers and 2 wardrobes are being collected. Just a small matter of emptying them, sorting and packing some clothes and storing some in drawers that I am keeping.:11 -
Accidentally touched Post while scrolling down!
The bedroom furniture was given to us by my SIL when we moved here from a house with built in wardrobes. It was her Mothers. It is old but very good quality (schreiber ?). I have painted it dove grey. It was snapped up within a minute of posting it on a local free site. Sadly the wardrobes need dismantling to get them down the stairs. Pain having 2 turns on the stairs. The last wardrobe to go was like a Chuckle Brothers extravaganza.
I have bought a clothes rail for hanging stuff. It will do for a while until we get wardrobes built at the new house. It will also do for car boot sales when the weather is better.
I need to crack on as I will be out all afternoon at craft club.
Oh, I was up at the crack of dawn as neighbour's cat came in and one of mine objected. Went in the sitting room with a coffee. What came trotting up the road at 4:30 ? A stag. I know they are here but never seen one actually in the village before.

3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Tuesday is yet another dark, dreary, wet miserable day. J the builder is here putting on the decorative top layer of bricks across the entire wall. We are on the final leg 🥳
DH left a while ago to get MOT on the Harley. I have delivered two more ginormous hg radishes & the small apple & hg rhubarb crumble to neighbour J - he was more than happy 😊 Now I am having my 2nd cuppa before braving the elements & going into town to bank cheques.A very productive weekend leelad 👏 and yes the office decluttering does count 🙂👏
Hope you and your family are well & that your daughter is getting used to the plaster cast 🤞
Excellent work villagelife 👏 Sounds like you are enjoying the new fridge/freezer 😉 and one medal 🏅 on its way for organising & listing freezer contents 👏 Very MSE reducing food shopping 🙂
Newlywed, I hope the 6 mile round trip to work is also relatively flat 🤞 😉 Well done on sticking to your exercise regime - I admire your determination 👏 and am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️You have been very busy vulpix 👏 Clothes rail is a great idea especially dual use & I am keeping everything crossed that the weather will pick up so car boot sales can resume. I wonder if in a couple of months we will all be complaining that it is too hot & bemoaning the lack of rain 🤔😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1054/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. Wow @vulpix, I feel your pain at the packing and all that but am super jealous of your seeing a stag. Fantastic.
I have been busy the last week or so with one thing and another but have managed to clear another bag of brica brac to the CS. Also out of bed early yesterday for a tip trip to get rid of DSisters old TV, carpet and a case. Also took a lawn mower belonging to my MiL.
The metal wombles came and took an old bike frame, non matching wheels and two nasty deck chairs. Also my Sisters.
I think all her stuff has gone now.
As DD went back to uni yesterday and I have been given a load of clear plastic bags;used already but clean; I thought I might bag up any projects and label so I can get some organisation to my stash using her room as a base. I have 3 weeks before her next visit so will need to get it done.
Still working on the through lounge. Its final sanding then woodwork and ceiling this week. Walls next week I think. Trying to get to the allotment between showers.
