Hi Mrs SD,
it is a keeper (and I only keep a few these days). A modern day Agatha Christie by Lisa Foley - called The Hunting Party. I have also read The Guest List by her. I now have two books on the go - The Secret Barrister (Non-fiction) and Evil UnderThe Sun - Agatha Christie (which I have borrowed from a family member).Good to hear that your DH heart is okay.Hubby has smashed and binned two garden chairs ( broken) and a garden table. Hopefully, the new table and chairs will arrive tomorrow. They should have arrived yesterday but they didn't turn up. Grrrr!Office paper bin emptied.Kitchen plastics recycled.
Decluttered a job - car after more than four years has finally had its safety recall done.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Dinner is the 2nd half of last night’s Chinese. DH has put down more weed suppressant fabric & 10 more buckets of gravel. Has rained on & off all day. DSis has finished her washing & drying. I have written July & August birthday cards.
1032 - 1035 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, newspaper, 0.5” paper - recycled1036 Kitchen detritus - binnedSorry to hear that you are in the doldrums 3secondmemory ☹️ However well done on all the Decluttering you have managed to do 👏 especially the steady progress in your garden 👏 Is there a neighbour, friend or family member who has a car & could take you to the cs & recycling centre? Two buses & a 15 minute walk must take up a whole morning or afternoon ☹️ Wow, 3secondmemory 🤩 you have been busy. One Gold Star ⭐️ coming your way for organising so much stuff & for your generosity to various charitable organisations 👏 You seem to have hauled yourself out of the doldrums and yippee you can see a difference 🥳TC77, not sure the Minimalists is my cup of tea either 😉 Hope you are enjoying your swimming - converting lard to muscle 😉👏 Hopefully your cousin will help you to reach the point of a major shift 🤞Salad servers seem to be a theme - there is a wooden pair in my kitchen with carved deer heads not mine but my DSis’s 😔 Great work in the kitchen 👏 How depressing having to wait until June before spring starts ☹️
What a great post vulpix 👏 You did burst my bubble by not having the luxurious bath & the buying plants at the same time 😉 I envisaged you in your fluffy full length dressing gown & fluffy slippers, nipping out to the garden centre & then coming back home & climbing into a bath full of bubbles, candles & wine & planning where to place your plants 😀 Sorry, I have lost the plot 😉😉 😜I do have some Italian heritage & my hair is my best feature 🙂 but I think I prefer your imagination 👏👏 The salad servers all sound beautiful- I am surprised you managed to let any go 😉 You are doing really well vulpix - especially with the kitchenalia. Here’s hoping that you can host a few more parties when the world is back to normal. The sales fund is coming along very, very nicely - one medal 🏅 for persevering with your sales 👏Battery is not charging up very quickly 😖 So no charge yet again 😭 but I am determined to catch up on the cheerleading 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1036/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. I am pleased that it was Mr SD's watch having a funny turn and not his actual ticker.
Well I have had a bit of a shock today. The Estate Agent phoned and said everything is going so well that the buyers want to move mid JUNE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No way can I do this without having a breakdown. I have my sons wedding and all that goes with it, a stay in an hotel and organising my Mother in a wheelchair etc. Plus I need to give my tenant at least a months notice. I have phoned her and all is ok as she was moving in with her boyfriend anyway which I did know about. The wedding is 26th June so I have said anytime after that before 30th. I am not generally an anxious person but I am feeling a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
I start back at work tomorrow. Mr V is working all his days off till after the BH as we are short staffed. I need to get my packing head on. I am glad that I started with sorting straight away.
We went out tonight to a comedy club to see Garry Delany. He was practising stuff for his upcoming tour. First time going out, it was ok.

991 - 992 calls/emails - too much life admin, not counting each thing but trying to do some things instead of collapse watching tv as need to get through more things.

😖 to BG, GrannyKate. The complaint letter is going to be a work of art 😉 I think the quote is pretty accurate & remember you deserve beautiful things 🙂 Great work on the decluttering 👏 & a medal 🏅 coming your way for using the good crockery 🙂👏 Well done on your trip out 👏 - it is difficult doing things on your own when you have been used to doing things as a couple & 2 years is no time to get used to solo trips especially bearing in mind that over a year has been unavailable to you. Wishing you every success in your BG LiveChat 🤞 Even the complaints team are not covering themselves in glory 😡
Good job I had put my coffee down as I spluttered when I read that the BG website was down 😔 The system has probably crashed due to the number of complaints - not helpful 😤 The whole saga beggars belief & I think that I would have been apoplectic by now so I really do admire your restraint 👏 I must admit to great relief at the ‘unremarkable ECG’
Great work HappyKitties 👏 Shame about the piano music books but if you can sell them even if only for pennies, at least they will get used 🙂The porcelain tea service sounds beautiful Floss 🙂 Good work on selling the excess cutlery 👏
Nice to see you ilovetea 👋 I have to say you & I obviously came from the same mould - retired, plenty of time but no real inclination to do what needs doing 😉😉 Good work on the decluttering that you have done 👏Nice to see you too Fiona236 👋 Great decluttering 👏 and now you know that organising is part of the decluttering journey 😉😉Very impressed that you have started dealing with ‘frogs’ oceanspirit 👏 I see you have passed 75% of your email decluttering target so one Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way 🙂 Don’t forget to take photos of your empty spaces as a reminder of how hard you are working 👏🙂D123456789, a visit to Grandma’s 🥳 how lovely 😊 Yippee to offer of first choice school for LO 🥳 Perhaps you can sell the ‘wrong uniform’ 🤞 You have definitely been out & about 😉 quite the gadfly 😉
Nice to see you nannywindow 👋 Sorry to hear that both you & DH are under the weather 🤢 🤧 but very pleased that you persevered at the vaccination centre & have both had your 2nd jabs 🙂👏 Thanks for the kind thoughts re DH. My 2nd jab is on Sunday - same place as 1st jab - I am the last to get my 2nd jab in our household of 3. Thank you so much for the delightful picture of the worms slavering with their bibs on 😄 The reality is that they are a seething mass of worms & are prolific breeders 😉 We started with one wormery & 500g of worms & now have 2 four tray wormeries & what looks like a tonne of worms 😁Balabooberlies, short_bird’s explanation of ‘frogs’ is spot on - succinct & to the point plus she threw in ‘eating the elephant’ 👏 Hope that your dad is on the mend balabooberlies 🤞 Probably not a hoarder just a collector 😉 Thank you for the kind thought re my DH 👏 I have been very lucky - my DH is a wonderful, kind & generous man 🙂 & he gives great hugs 🤗Nice to see you leelad 👋 I am in full agreement - this weather is absolutely awful 😣 it drains all your energy & just makes me want to wrap up in loads of warm clothes & blankets & hide away with junk food 😔 Isn’t clingfilm a wonderful invention - who knew it could be used to keep a plaster cast dry 👏😉 Wishing you every success with your planting & your sales 🤞Great decluttering short_bird 👏Good work EnergyShifter 👏 Hope you have a lovely weekend & that the sun shines & boosts your energy levels 🤞What a great description 3secondmemory - controlled mania 😉 You are doing a brilliant job & hopefully your ADHD coach will give you the tools to deal with your short term goals which will translate into your long term goals. One of your skills is being able to ask for help & another skill is being able to write succinct & informative posts 👏 Please accept a Gold Star ⭐️ 🙂 Your landlord sounds like a bit of an idiot - an arborist will be far cheaper than replacing neighbours’ fences & potentially expensive plants + the cost of replacing your patio. Everything is crossed 🤞 that the landlord sees sense & gets the Ash tree taken down asap 🤞Early days boultdj ☹️ you will have to start cuddling OH 🙂
Gem-gem, it brings you joy so good for you 👏 Not quite how it goes usually but 3 out 0 in will see you decluttered in no time 😉😉 Only joking 🙃 Hope your new garden furniture arrives soon & that the sun comes out to celebrate its arrival 🙂🤞 Four years for a safety recall 😱 that is appalling service 😖
vulpix, are you sure you are not my DH’s doctor? That is practically word for word the explanation that the doctor gave spooky 👻
That is quick vulpix 😬 I am very impressed that you have not allowed yourself to be pressured & that you will move at a time more convenient for you. Sorting all that out in less than 4 weeks plus working would mean that you would need 48 hours in a day & 14 days in a week 😉 There you go, you just need to bend the laws of time & space 😂 Joking aside, I have every faith that you and MrV will manage - you are a very well organised person and you have the anticipation of a wedding & being ensconced in your new home 🙂 One Gold Star ⭐️ on its way for starting your sorting straight away 👏
Excellent work TC77 👏 Please don’t be too hard on yourself - remember we are trying to have the mindset of ‘enjoying’ decluttering 😉😉
Woo-hoo I have caught up 🥳
Night, night & hugs 🤗 to one and all - still socially distanced 😉MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1036/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £299.00

Thanks Mrs SD (and for my medal) - I suppose I must consider myself fortunate to have 2 toilets to use. Just gone on line and booked a plumber for tomorrow - will keep you posted. BG have refunded my £60 excess as promised. No contact from complaints department yet.
Doing bits with DS2 and small people today so no decluttering or cleaning but weather looks awful so doubt we'll go far. Only good thing about the rain is I went out in it and pulled a number of weeds out of my lawn along with their long roots. I have scattered box of bird seed on bare patches on lawn (birds were pleased!)

I was at 149 items, but now lost count.
I have not missed work at all, so am now officially RETIRED at 56 years old
17 items sold on Ebay for almost £800
Garden fence replaced, lawn edging removed and replaced with sleepers, pergola and decking built. Most plants removed and potted so they could be replanted when the build was done. A skip full of garden detritus and other stuff taken away
Some of DGS toys donated to his pre-school
6 black sacks of clothes to the CS
4 carrier bags of plant pots donated to a lady who sells her offshoot plants to raise cash for the MS Society
Motorhome cleaned to perfection and we had a few days away from last Sunday to Thursday. We went to Hunstanton and the weather was beautiful and definitely on our side. Got to love fish and chips from the paper sat watching the sea. Decluttered loads of steps, walked from Hunstanton to Old Hunstanton, Hunstanton to Heacham and then on the last day we got a bus to Wells Next The Sea and walked from the centre to the beach and back. We found a lovely coffee shop in Hunstanton and had the most amazing cake, called Elizabeth Cake but I cannot find a recipe :-(
I will catch up later with everyone's posts. I hope all are doing okay, love and hugs to all
All the best Gilly
