11 items of paperwork yesterday plus some filed and others ready for further action to be taken.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅14 -
Well positive and negative news to report. A lovely plumber came yesterday and spent a lot of time trying to work out the toilet problem and decided it was something completely different - he replaced the main part of the cistern which seemed to be sticking and "touch wood' everything seems ok. Total silence from the complaints department. Later in the afternoon my hot water pump died completely so I have just a trickle of hot water coming out of taps just as I am about to have my first visitors. Another plumber coming Thursday but not sure if it will be covered by insurance. The neighbours will start talking about all my male visitors. To add to that my car had a nasty hiccup going up a hill yesterday. Seemed ok later but have booked into main dealer for what will no doubt be an expensive computer check.
Some new things came into the house but I am making sure things are leaving as well.
937 Plants and seedlings potted on
938 Children's toothbrushes thrown away and replaced with new ones
939 New large washable mat for porch and moved others round so oldest one will go out
940 Filing box in recycling/auction section at tip
941 Birthday card posted
942 Quilt set to go to CS as it has uncomfortable edging - new set purchased to replace
Had bacon bap, cake and coffee in shop cafe - will soon pick up bad habits again. I had a desultory wander round a garage looking at cars but I hate doing things like that. I'm going to order a new white board for kitchen using Amazon vouchers from surveys. The one I have has gone all crinkly and weird.2025 Decluttering Campaign 635/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉My 2nd jab went without a hitch. The young lady who gave me the jab had some beautiful tattoos - usually I am not a lover of tattoos on ladies 😉 Rode home via MrA & I did a small shop. Had a couple of paracetamol when I got home & a couple before bed. Made cottage pie from scratch & turned out to be one of my best ones (padded out with red lentils & frozen mixed vegetables) accompanied by broccoli. Enough left for same again tonight with the second broccoli. DSis did the washing up & most of the drying & putting away. I finished off & moved some of the bits that she had put away in the places 😉
Monday is another rainy day interspersed with bouts of sunshine. DH has been busy again - currently doing 15 minute sessions of digging over next door’s garden - the area in front of the newly rebuilt wall (cement etc). I have had no side effects from 2nd jab 👏
1047 - 1048 Kitchen recycling, newspaper - recycled
1049 Kitchen detritus - binned

Great work TC77 👏 I had a quick look at Home Edit - not too sure 🤔 but I will have another look later.Good work vulpix 👏3secondmemory, you have completed a major declutter 👏 so easing off a little is perfectly understandable 🙂 I do love your description of your cats “little heathens” 😂 Wow, canine Covid sniffers - very cool 😎Good work oceanspirit 👏 paperwork seems never ending ☹️I really don’t know what to say GrannyKate 🤔 Yippee to the plumber who sorted out the toilet problem 🥳 I hope you have his card 😉 Everything crossed that Thursday’s plumber can sort out the hot water pump 🤞🤞 before your visitors arrive 🤞 The list of complaints grows ever longer 😡 so perhaps a letter to Chief Executive of BG - the Complaints Department have had their chance/s 😖 Hopefully the car can be sorted with minimal expense 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 That is 3 - so now you deserve at least 4 lots of good luck 🙂 BTW Excellent decluttering 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1049/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. OH potted on some seedlings in to big pot, finished just as the hailstone started, so it's staying in the greenhouse for a couple of days.
Second coat of gloss on window frame and radiator and first coat on both sides of my bedroom door.
Must add lbs to the declutter list, both of us have managed to collect more built in body food storage baggage.

Package taken to collect+ newsagent for heart foundation. Old boots dropped into clothing bank on the way. Tie/belt hanger given to neighbour. That only leaves a flask and some embroidery threads to go (no doubt I will find more to add to it though!
after dropping things off, went for a lovely long walk along the beach. It was windy and sunny. So 8 miles of energy decluttered. Avoided all the many cafes, donuts and ice cream sellers, And rewarded with tea and biscuits when I got home.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?11 -
3 items paperwork
2 items ood food, sadly no longer edible. I think that's the last of the food muddle gone and as long as we continue to follow the system, we should no longer need to throw things away.

@oceanspirit I print off a calendar for the month, head it “eat or freeze” and after food shop day, write the food down for the day it expires. Then each day I can check what we have eaten or frozen that I can cross off the list, and what needs action.
Doesn’t stop me having wilted veg though!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?10 -
