Cleaned the microwave and OH is cleaning brass as it's raining again.£71.93/ £180.008

Not posted recently and not sure of my total so will just count from here (today's efforts). My brother went to his doctor two weeks ago and ended up on oxygen and then transferred to A & E by ambulance. Was put on a nebuliser, then back to oxygen and then only needing oxygen at night. He's been stabilised and is back home but will need full time care. Elder niece has taken three months unpaid leave to look after him (he will cover her salary so she can keep paying her bills and mortgage).
He got very stroppy with her - she and a friend had spent ten hours at weekend cleaning (still a lot to do) and another day swapping the main and spare bedrooms over (he was expected to have oxygen at home and there's a gas fire in his room), blamed her because he had thought he was coming home and then wasn't. I spent a couple of hours on several nights, reassuring her that she was doing the right thing and he was being awkward and ungrateful. She phoned her mother, who told younger daughter, who then phoned her dad who listened - even though it was the same info elder daughter had told him 5 times but he kept shouting her down.
The weather is frustrating my efforts to get ahead - lots to do outside but it rained every time I went near the door. Really dragging me down - cold wet and miserable. I also had my second vaccination and have been very sleepy ever since. I know I have done some of the things I needed to (including decluttering a bin load of green stuff at my house and filling 3 black bags and about six little bags - I just kept picking up empty toilet roll wrappers and stuffing them until they were full) but have struggled to remember them.
Today however it has not rained (dry but not terribly warm). I dug out 10 x 10 l pots of soil, drilled drainage holes in 10 builder's buckets and two ex kitchen bins, moved a raised bed across the yard, onto a supermarket trolley and then over the top of the washing line pole, back to trolley level and then the ground. Moved about 15 pots of soil across and emptied them into it (I was going to count the empties when I'd finished) Did want to go out to do more soil shifting and painting (especially as the sun has finally put in an appearance) but when i stopped I realised how much bits of me were hurting so I'm calling it a day. 38 items added to my total so now on 1154/ 2021.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage9 -
Hi Peeps,
still it goes on here, steady( more like slowly) away. Been keeping up with you all from the back ground and trying different methods of getting stuff out. I am now very nearly at the end of a store of bathroom products this has taken roughly 6 years to get to this point. The bathroom window sill is limited to what can be on there and it has to be in use. Is it just me that gets excited when an item is getting to the bottom of its container and you so want to get it in the bin? (that is a success to me).
I have managed to reduce my underwear pile, I had to be real about it, they really didn't fit. I did have to go up a size which is not what I had in mind. Upside to that is I now feel slimmer and happier.
Under my kitchen sink we are down to single items and have so much more space. I am however always on the look out for the next item out no matter where it comes from inside outside in the shed (its a work shop really) DH does do a good job generally of it being tidy. We just look for more when the dins are due.
Have a decent Bank holiday weekend all.

Plumber number 5 has just left (actually same one as plumber no 3). Couldn't replicate my problem with toilet so said he couldn't do anything. Looked at pump - said he couldn't touch it and I'd have to contact manufacturers and get it sorted myself. (the opposite to what BG told me on the phone Tuesday). New pump now ordered but finding a plumber to fix it will no doubt be a problem. (£370 so far ouch). Visitors may have to put up with washing in sink although bath is possible if you have time to let it run. Communication has been sent o BG Complaints team. DS2 is trying to find me a plumber. On line order done for Mr M and eventually worked out how to use my £5 voucher on line. Did survey on line which gave an extra immediate payment of £1 Amazon code so added that to my total - now have £20 plus in vouchers so may order my new kitchen white board.
943 Roll of sticky tape which no longer sticks recycled

Apologies for not posting yesterday 😔 Wednesday was reasonable weather - blue skies & sunshine interspersed with periods of overcast & damp weather. I did sweet f.a. apart from cook sausages (Walls as MrS appears to have changed their recipe & they no longer taste of anything), mash, baked beans & plum tomatoes for DH & DSis & I nearly finished off the cheesy pasta - a snack portion now in the freezer. DH on the other hand worked extremely hard on next door’s garden 🤔😉 whilst builder J was topping off the wall. DH mowed the lawn, weeded the broken down patio, clipped the bottom of the bushes, cleared down all the brambles & weeds + dug over the area of the garden near the wall (lots of hardened cement etc) - he finished the digging today (Thursday) He also emptied the compost bin that contained wood & filled it up with shredded green waste, lawn clippings & 2 trays of worms & worm-cast.Thursday is blue skies, sunshine & warmth 🥳 does anyone remember warmth without being bundled up in loads of clothes & wrapped in blankets 😉😉😉 As I said DH has been busy in next door’s garden again - using an augur drill to break up the soil. He also pulled another radish (7.5cm long by 11cm circumference 👏) Ta-da 🥳 the garage freezer is empty 🥳 I have switched it off & washed the trays which are now drying in the sunshine ☀️ As to the freezer itself there are inches of ice 😱 😬 I will leave it for a couple of hours then start with the bowls of hot water. One item of note - I had taken out a bag of lo chicken & duck slices which when defrosted smelled a bit funky 🤢 Not wasted though - Mrs Fox & her 7 Cubs had a feast last night & there is a 2nd pot for tonight 🙂

3secondmemory great work on contacting a craft group - sounds like lots of decluttering will take place in the not too distant future 👏 Well done on sorting paperwork - paying bills is always a double edged sword - money out ☹️ but relief that it is done 🙂 Please try not to feel too bad about your extended nap - you obviously needed the sleep 😴 & I am sure your 2 little heathens will forgive you .......... eventually 😉 What a pain being let down by the carpet cleaners 😖 but at least when it is done you already have the new sofa 🙂Good luck with the planting out 🤞 Yuk - a tick - they are always so difficult to remove ☹️ The only problem is that the next Bank Holiday isn’t until August ☹️
GrannyKate you are really having a run of bad luck 😡 Is it BG who are coming? Hopefully they will sort everything out properly this time 🤞🤞🤞 I find that tears 😭 work quite well when dealing with workmen 😉 At least you have the pleasure of your GS4 visiting 🙂
I am spitting mad 😡 on your behalf GrannyKate 😠 The whole saga beggars belief 😖
Very pleased that you have started the Complaints procedure 🙂 Well done on the decluttering & vouchers 👏
You are welcome TC77 🙂 Please try to get some rest - you are looking after everyone else but you do need to look after yourself... please 🙏
Good work with the books oceanspirit 👏 Pleased to see you have a taste tester - very Roman Empire 😉
Clean microwave & shiny brass boultdj - what’s not to like 🙂👏
So sorry to hear about your brother mothernerd ☹️ It does seem that we lash out at the nearest loved one when we are scared & ill so must be very upsetting for your niece. You are doing a great job in supporting her & she obviously takes after you - a caring young lady 🙂 You have been very, very busy in the garden 👏 - no wonder everything aches 😣
Nice to see you 2Scratters 👋 Did you manage to find a method that works for you? Not just you 😉 & also get excited when I realise I have a spare stored away so don’t have to spend any money 😉 Excellent decision on the underwear 👏 I always forget that wearing too tight clothes makes me feel fat & frumpy & biting the bullet buying a size larger seems to trick me into starting to eat more sensibly 🙄 Btw, hooray to feeling slimmer & happier 😁MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1067/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. OH has washed out the big water trays in the greenhouse for the tomatoes to go in.
I've hoovered half the house.
Made sausage rolls for lunch times and meat and potato pie for tea.
Well done on the freezer Mrs SD, I've not got any further with emptying mine.
Found a soy sauce bottle that was empty and put back in the cupboard. Why? Now in the bin.£71.93/ £180.007 -

Hi,slow progress for me. No reason just CBA. A few more boxes packed,a bit more potting up in the garden and plenty of crochet and telly watching.
Mr V late home tonight. Filming going on at work. Sworn to secrecy atm will tell you when I can.
A good night last night. Mr V ordered food on his app in the pub. Accidently then ordered and paid for 2 more meals. He went in to sort it and the girl managed to then double the order to 8 meals. Great hilarity about it. Nice to be out but freezing and wet. Brrr.
