3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Thursday has been a lovely sunny day. DH did his usual trip to MrS. We each had a bowl of hm soup for lunch - it was yummy 😋 - one of my tastier ones 🙂 DH then did some more work in next door’s garden. In the end the garage freezer was left to defrost naturally 😉 Wiped down the inside, dried the inside, returned the trays & switched the electricity back on.Sorry boultdj - freezer defrosted I am claiming the medal🏅 😉 Now I just have to defrost the kitchen freezer which is currently full 😔 Rather than transferring contents I am going to try to use up the contents 🤞 so how about a 2nd freezer challenge, boultdj 😉😉
Dinner was oven baked salmon fillets, boiled potatoes for DSis, boiled sweet potatoes for DH & me plus frozen mixed vegetables (I’ve started boultdj 😉😉)
1068 - 1072 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, magazine, drinks cans - recycled
1073 Kitchen detritus - binned
Boultdj, I am very jealous that you appear to have proper sized tomato plants👏 😉 mine are still seedlings about 1.5cm high 😔 The mystery of the soy sauce bottle - probably left in cupboard to remind you to buy another bottle 🤞😉 My DH will pop round later - he loves hm sausage rolls 😉
Excellent work short_bird 👏 The 27 fling boogie is definitely working for you 🙂👏TC77, I hope you managed to get your swim 🤞 You really must take care of yourself 🤗
Good work on keeping up the decluttering momentum 👏 As to the misplaced notebook ☹️ where is the absolute last place you would look? - this works for me occasionally 😉 Oh, btw I owe you one Gold Star ⭐️ which is on its way 🙂Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 After eating 8 meals must be a few lbs gained 🤣 so sorry 😞 I couldn’t resist 😉 You have hit the 300 mark 👏👏 one Gold Star ⭐️ on its way 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1073/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. 662 the old fridge freezer has been taken.
663 more shredding done
664 catalogue recycled
665-666 boxes of straw and sawdust taken to the shed to be used as bedding for the chickens. They had been in the kitchen for a few days waiting for DH to take them out. In the end I did.10 -
Thank you for the gold star Mrs SD. It is easy to rack up the numbers when you are moving house though. I am pleased that a lot are large items and things that I wouldn't perhaps notice if I wasn't looking at every item we possess. Beard comb? neither of us have a beard! No idea where that came from.
I think the sheds will be an entirely different story. The contents will move once again to a new location. Not my domain, and I am told everything is needed in there! To be fair, a lot has been sold/ taken to the tip previously. I feel for Mr V, his Mother has OCD with cleaning and he would often come home from school and she had thrown all his toys away. He likes to hang on to stuff.
Today I intend to do something with the remaining stuff on the kitchen island that I don't know what to do with. ie table mats in the box never used etc. All the difficult decision things seem to be on the kitchen island. There is also another massive corner cupboard to empty. That is the plastic container cupboard, haha. I bet everyone has a cupboard like that.
My freezer needs emptying too. I have a Christmas turkey and a side of salmon I didn't get to use.
Thank you Mrs SD and everyone who contributes here, you are all an inspiration to me.

Vulpix, do you have a local soup kitchen who could take your turkey & salmon if you don't get to use them before moving?2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

And I'm off! 2 chicken breast out of the freezer and in the slow cooker for curry tonight.
OH has painted half my ceiling and I've glossed the last 2 radiators in the front room. Entertained the postie when I had to get off the floor, at least I made someone smile doing my beached whale act. lol
Curry sauce jar out as well.
Nice and sunny for a change and windows open in every room.

Floss, sadly not,we live in the back of beyond. I think I will just have to cook them and have them for every meal ad infinitum. Count my Mum in on that too.
Another kitchen cupboard emptied and mostly packed. The remainder is on the island awaiting attention. 2 more cupboards to go and 6 kitchen drawers.
Tomorrow, work then Sunday the emptying of the loft including breaking down the recording studio. I like this declaring what I am going to do,it makes me do it.

3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Friday was another bright mainly dry day. Not quite as sunny as Thursday but still a lovely day. Builder J has finished all the brick works so spent the day cleaning up the car park. The 2nd very full skip will be taken away on Tuesday & a small one delivered to take the last of the rubble. DH has almost finished sorting out ndn’s garden - has one small section of dug over garden left to sieve. My day was in front of the telly apart from making a batch of guacamole 😉 DH & I had a bowl of hm soup for lunch. Dinner was gammon, oven chips & peas for DH & DSis. I had fish cakes (trying to empty 2nd freezer), chips & peas. Wudupa.
1074 - 1075 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans - recycled
1076 Kitchen detritus - binnedGreat work villagelife 👏 and a bad mark against your DH ☹️You are welcome vulpix 🙂 Not a given that your numbers will rack up when moving house - you might take everything with you 😉😉 🙂 Good luck with the rest of the kitchen decluttering 🤞 A tactic that works for you vulpix - declare & do 👏Good work boultdj 👏 The ‘empty freezer race’ is on 😉MrsSD 🏅 🏅 🏅🏅 🏅 🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1076/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. Some confusion over what day of the week it was meant that I had the bonus of two Fridays, which allowed me to get back on track. My knees blew up on Wednesday so I reverted to ‘harse-work’ - anything that can be done while sat on yer bum 😂
I shuffled around on the floor with my steam cleaner and spot treated the carpets, and freshened up the skirting boards and paintwork. I am so pleased with the results of the carpet that I’m going to tackle it with my upright steam cleaner next and possibly cancel the carpet guy next week. I’m motivated by the thought that I could save the money and spend it on new curtains instead. This weekend I have to finish taking the house apart so that my final week with the coach, we start putting it back together. 😃
landlord is coming on Tuesday for a chat about the garden and the work that needs to be done out there. On a different note, my old lady cat stopped eating last week. She’s perked up a little bit but I have the feeling that she might not be around for much longer. I’m trying to keep things peaceful and hoping that she goes to sleep in the sun and doesn’t wake up.11 -

So, even though I am still feeling like I've been through the wars, my focus is back to getting my house ready to sell or rent. And like a miracle my cousin has agreed to help me talk to builders etc (I find it daunting)
