I did a massive declutter a few year ago but what I never really did was organise so it never really looked that great.
The other day I sorted through my daughters clothes and some were passed saving, some ive put away in my wardrobe for winter and some were too small that are currently in a carrier on my bedroom door.
* I sorted my chest of drawers and now have a proper blanket drawer
* I sorted my wardrobe out and everything is where it should be
* Underbed storage sorted into my bedding and other one daughters bedding.
To do next: sort that carrier of clothes on door and the other carrier of daughters stuff also on my door, and the plastic tub sitting on drawers.11 -
Haven't posted for several weeks now. Been busy getting frog items started - they all have many parts to them so won't be able to cross off the list for a while, but at least there is some small progress.
18 items have left - mainly plastic lids as I've been doing 5 mins a day in the kitchen to get it cleared in time for boiler service next week.
Overall we're still keeping on top of rotating food stocks and spaces in each room are slowly appearing. Next to be tackled is another large box of paperwork so hoping the decluttering numbers will go up much faster over the next few weeks.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅12 -
We’re very excited to be going to Grandmas this weekend 🥰
I’ve not much to report on the decluttering front, but who knew that our local charity shops won’t take potty’s ? It took me 2 weeks at least for someone on olio to request and collect - at least they have eventually found a home…
I bought school uniform for LO only to have a late offer of our first choice school - so now I have to buy different colour 🤦♀️ So much for being organised 😂
been out to the pub and for a meal twice and to a farm and a bbq all in the wind and rain ☔️ so haven’t had much time at home to get stuff done. Sounds like some of you are very busy, well done!😊12 -
Hello all, sorry have been MIA again but at least the daily rubbish has left the building, sadly I may have decluttered my mojo too. DH has been poorly again with balance problems and nausea. I offered to give him a Bob Martins and take him to the vet but he didn't see the funny side, he must have felt rough, so it was another trip to see his GP. We had our 2nd jab yesterday but DD had to take a day off work to drive us. It was a new centre to us, 7 miles away on the outskirts of the city and to my dismay there was a queue outside and inside and I had to try to keep DH upright. As my balance isn't very good either ( medical condition) I'm sure people must have thought we'd been drinking 😂 Anyway it moved very fast and was well organised however I didn't enjoy looking at all the arrows and yellow and black chains everywhere, combined with the deafening noise from the people talking all at once I felt even giddier than before, but I was determined to be jabbed before I passed out and I'm so happy that it's been done. We were lucky with the weather too it was sunny but cold, today it's very stormy, wouldn't like to be stood there today. Now I can recycle/shred all the letters/ leaflets etc from the health board.Yesterday DD left the packaging from several parcels for me to dispose of, a small price to pay for her help, so some boxes recycled and some plastic bags binned. One of the boxes contained a lot of little polystyrene chips which are now apparently disposable, so we had great fun putting them in water and watching them disappear, simple pleasures ( or I'm just simple 😁 ! ) However DD rescued DGD's booster seat from the cs bag and she will take it to her school when it's allowed again, as it's like new. I don't know if that counts as in or out now? This week I filled 2 more green waste bins from the garden and they will go out next week. Sorry I'm waffling for Wales again, I'll go now 🤐D123456789 Can you get a refund on the uniform or sell it ? Great news that LO has a first choice of school.oceanspirit I too have gaps in my food stocks, but now I know what we use the most so I can focus on filling those gaps only.retiredinfrance Blimey well done, that's a great haul of items out !MrsSD I'm sorry that MrSD's new jab centre wasn't so good this time, it seems to be a bit hit and miss as to what you get. Nice to see that DH is still feeding the worms, even now I imagine him poised with the food and the worms slavering with their bibs on 🤣Happy decluttering allnanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10

Some folks say it's the biggest thing you have to do but huge tasks are often best broken down into little pieces - "how do you eat an elephant?".
And others say it's the most challenging or the one you're most likely to put off. Or the one you have put off!
Hope that helps!‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

276. batteries recycled at supermarket collection point
277. One very manky cat toy binned. Supposed to be a mouse but it’s ears and tail had been ripped off
278. A rogue knitting needle-into recycling
279. Piano music books of DMs being sold on the bay of e. We have a bid of 99p. So happy that they weren’t going into recycling and someone can use them. The CS weren’t really interested in taking them

Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers from a very wet and windy East Lancashire, are we going to have a Summer this year? 😉 Am trying to harden off a courgette plant which I have grown from seed from the beginning of April that has lot all sense of moderation in terms of size, but the rain is not helping. Planting it out this Sunday one way or the other. My wife has thrown away a cracked jelly mould, my decluttering has consisted mainly of seeds which I have planted at our planter (gardening group). Sweetcorn, Chinese kale, spinach, sweetcorn, chicory, mustard seed. Oh and some spaghetti squash seeds which are starting off indoors and at my aunties greenhouse. Hoping for good things this summer (that's if the weather gets better). Sorry about the rant, the weather is not helping at all. Our daughter is frustrated too, still in her full leg cast, she has to take vit d and calcium supplements to get her broken bone to knit together. We are carrying the cling film around with us outside so as to keep it dry. Let's hope for better times ahead, need to get motivated to sell some stuff on eBay this weekend, keep the decluttering bug ticking over and in a good place, cheers 🙂10

661-663: rubbish and 2 lots of recycling out.
664: broken lid from a food container to recycling665: concertina file out.
666: the usual email deletion and unsubscribe session.
Printer is out for diagnosis but no news yet! Just sorted out some records to get cleaned. I'm hoping my mojo will turn up soon 😂‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.
