I’m having an up-and-down day. Whilst in good spirits overall, I lost a friend in the early hours of this morning. She died of asbestosis and it was incredibly quick. The first signs only came a couple of months ago.I’ve only just remembered something quite bizarre from last week. My eldest son rang to prepare me that his best friend and my youngest’s best friend had delivered a surprise baby - a cryptic pregnancy 🤰8

Wednesday2000 - Lovely to hear that you are planning to head to the coast too - I'm thinking of the Hastings/St Leonards area at the moment but think I will have some trips to various places along the Kent and Sussex Coast over the Summer to get a feel of some different places.

Ah Mrs SD my son was given a vaccine by way of a thank you for being on the trial. When does Mr SD have his investigations?
3 secondmemory I am sorry to hear of your loss.xxx
Today I emptied a kitchen cupboard which contained all my "party " ware. Trifle dishes, serving plates, more glasses etc. I wrapped and packed a moving box and identified a wooden salad bowl and 3 lots of servers to go. I am undecided about a Denby tea set. I will think about it for a while. I am finding getting rid of stuff for parties very difficult. I think it will be also difficult with ornaments and pictures. I have no attachment to furniture or clothes.
I will pack some more things tomorrow and then off to my craft club or the first time in over a year.- still knitting baby hats.

Hello All
have not caught up with posts from last week as have been at my parents and still am. Dad hospitalised in agony. Then turfed out still in agony. Has UTI, but that has nothing to do with pain. Pain management took about 6 days. He has started to eat a little and to drink. Speaking with Consultant on Thursday.
I think I am still on 21/104
Keep well

@3secondmemory so sorry to hear about your loss, hugs being sent.
@EnergyShifter and @Wednesday2000 look forward to hearing your seaside investigations. I thought for a long time of moving out of London either to town with theatre/ good cinema or coast , with Kent coast - Margate and ramsgate which are doing their best - childhood holidays as my gran lived there but know other parts of Kent/ Sussex v popular with people moving to Hastings and st leonards. The thought of.moving the amount of stuff I have makes me feel dizzy. @Floss and @vulpix among others v inspirational on the moving approach.11 -
@TC77 thank you, while it was my choice to relocate, the decision was triggered by my ex-husband destroying our marriage and the ending of my contract job. And although I had a big house to empty & sort, I threw money at my wonderful removal guys who packed everything being stored & took it all away!
I decluttered several miles of cobwebs around the ceilings yesterday with my long duster, and finally got round to getting a duster & the last spray can of polish out in my bedroom. The polish was almost finished so that's the last aerosol one, I now have some flat "proper" beeswax polish & also a bottle of wax polish which will be next on the hit list. My bedroom furniture belonged to my parents & was bought in the mid to late 1950s - ladies & gents wardrobes, dressing table & 1 bedside cabinet (my oldest brother came along before they could buy the other!) so benefits from a regular "proper" polishing 🙂2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
