Mrs SD, I hope your hubby is okay re heart flutter. Pleased that he is getting it looked in to. My hubby had a flutter and didn't get it checked. That is what caused his stroke. Blood not emptying fully from the chamber and then coagulating. Also, since he has had his pacemaker fitted he hasn't had so many seizure symptoms. (He has given up alcohol and chocolate and lost two stone in weight).Been busy in the kitchen the past few days making: tomato soup; tomato, pepper and chilli pasta sauce; cherry scones and sultana scones. Using up the last of the big boy tomatoes and a big bag of baby tomatoes from the freezer plus some of the potatoes which cost 9p for a big bag. Gave scone to elderly neighbour.
Bought 2 whole chickens from M&S for £3.06 each down from £6 each. Roasted on today. Veg from garden (frozen) potatoes from 9p bag.
picked up two meal for 2 curries in Sainsbury's - Half price from £8 down to £4. Got rid of outside packaging and froze it all.
planted the rest of the sweet corn plants and cabbages. Potted on 8 broccoli seedlings, gave rest of the tray of seedlings to another neighbour.
recycled various cardboard packaging and unwanted post.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

(Sorry, that sounds really bossy & grumpy, but my boys both sorted out their own stuff that had been left with me, so I expect everyone's kids to be the same!)
Seemed fair enough to us, we just needed the jolt to get our backsides in gear.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

@Floss,, @3secondmemory @elsien joining in the chat on kids stuff. I put my oldest DD's wii online to sell as she hasn't used it for years, - 23 but first year uni and in a rented room. Realised I hadn't asked her about selling it, but have now, and she has at first said no and then yes, so should be picked up tomorrow. I've told her that I will keep things she wants to keep but she needs to sort out what she doesn't want to keep. She gave me a bag of things for CS, usually I'd go through it and see if anything could be kept but took straight to CS. Think my DD should be able to sort things herself but she's giving her leeway as she's struggled with mental health and managing uni is a challenge, but not going to keep everything for her.
Really difficult with kids belongings as depends on so many things - where they live, do we have space, are they able to deal with stuff, etc Think my brother had things had my dads into his late 30s when married with a house!
Going to look up my nos and then back to update

610 broken headphones- completely broken but had only had sound coming out of one ear for a while.
611 holey underwear.
612 packaging which DH wanted to keep just in case he wanted to send the item back.
613 a key which doesn't fit a lock. It is scary throwing away keys but not sure why if they don't fit anything.
614 letter for DS2
615 seed tray that had been well used and falling to bits.
616--618 loads of disposable gloves which DH keeps for gardening. He has so many and they get everywhere. He won't notice I've thrown some away.

I will defend my Son in this instance 😃 it’s not been for lack of trying on his part. Real life and Covid got in the way last year and we all had to learn to prioritise different things. I’ve seen him twice, distanced in the garden, in a year and I don’t know when I’ll see him again. He’s caught Covid twice now, the second time he was asymptomatic but it was still worrying and unexpected. He’s moved house 3 times in 2 years and worked through his annual leave. As well as earning enough to finally buy, (and insure) a small car, he was the 1st to offer his brother alone for an FE course. His stuff taking up space in my house is really small potatoes. If he was lounging on his backside playing PlayStation, it would be a completely different matter.I was in no fit state to be dealing with it last year anyway, but not nagging him, or putting pressure on him, was my tiny way of supporting the NHS during the crisis. 😇😂😂
I would like my space back, and now I know that I will be staying in this rented house for the foreseeable future, I have plans! I might as well be comfy! I’ve been informed by Psy-Uk that it is likely to be another 12 months before my adult ADHD assessment - that means I’ve got a year to fill. It’s a daunting prospect but I won’t have to think about it for the next 2 weeks if I train my hyper focus on my spare room 😃12
