@EnergyShifter and @Wednesday2000 look forward to hearing your seaside investigations. I thought for a long time of moving out of London either to town with theatre/ good cinema or coast , with Kent coast - Margate and ramsgate

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. ONCE A WEEK LEAVE THE HOUSE (e.g. Go into city centre for bank & butcher; go to local town for cs dropping off or buying; visit the pub with DH 😉Monday continued with heavy thunder & lightning & hail showers interspersed with mini bouts of sunshine. DH & DSis got back about 4 p.m. having left just after one. The new vaccination centre is definitely badly organised - DH had to queue for 45 minutes. Fortunately he was indoors before the heavens opened 👏 but DSis did get soaked. It was very efficient inside the centre & DH was out within a few minutes. Long pleasant walk through the park to the bus stop - swans, coots etc. but got soaked on the way from our bus stop to the front door 😱 DH a bit achy probably due to the walking but I did insist on paracetamol. My bath was long & luxurious - had a cup of coffee & read a few chapters of my Dark Tower book. I was out of the bath by the time DH & DSis got back. Combed out my hair & then got DH to cut it - was going to be 3 or 4” but ended up being 9” 😱 However, plaited it is still more than halfway down my back 🙂 Dinner was cold lo pork, remainder of the crackling, most of the red cabbage sautéed, mash, peas & gravy. Just as delicious as Sunday’s roast dinner 😋 Wudupa.
The last of the gravy & red cabbage will be used for a new soup with a bag of roast vegetables from the freezer + onions & garlic.
Tuesday has started dry & sunny but is clouding over. The builder is here & is capping off the two sections of wall - a job that can be stopped if the heavens opened. If the weather stays dry J will finished the last couple of courses of neighbour J’s wall.DH has fed the worms, made tea for J & started the soup. I have just put the first load in the wm. I have just checked the garage freezer & now have 3 empty drawers 😉 DH has been busy in the garden, moving plants & setting up cages to stop neighbourhood cats pooing in our raised beds 😖
1004 - 1010 Kitchen recycling, large glass jar, 3 Uu mini toiletries, newspaper, drinks cans - recycled
1011 - 1013 Kitchen detritus, 1” office shredding, pair of Sunday knickers - binnedYippee, half way to target so one Gold Star ⭐️ for me 🥳We are nip & tuck in the race to defrost a freezer boultdj 😉 Hope the weather allowed you to get the towels line dried 🤞
3secondmemory, so sorry to hear about your friend ☹️ Sending hugs to you & your friend’s family. I had to look up “cryptic pregnancy” - never knew that there was a specific term for the phenomenon of not knowing you were pregnant until the baby was born. Hopefully after the shock has worn off everyone will be very happy at the new arrival 🤞🙂
Good work EnergyShifter 👏Great work TC77 👏 You are allowed to keep things you know 😉🙂 Sorry to hear of the many ailments ☹️ but I admire your fighting spirit 🙂 All of DH’s family live in Kent but not on the coast. Like you DH & I toyed with the idea of moving down to a coastal area but decided that as we are ageing our priorities are having lots of public transport, easy access to our dentist & doctor + lots of specialist hospitals. We also have really nice neighbours & they are worth their weight in gold 👏🙂
Good work Gem-gem 👏 Is the book a keeper or is it in the cs bag?vulpix, what a nice way to say thank you to your son 🙂 MrSD is off to the doctor tomorrow - fingers crossed that everything is OK 🤞 Great work on tackling one of your difficult declutter sessions 👏 You must be so excited to be going back to Craft Club - a small step on the road to pre-Covid life 🙂Balabooberlies, so sorry to hear about your dad ☹️ I sometimes think we are more affected by loved one’s pain than our own 😔 Hopefully your chat with the consultant will shed some light on why they took so long to sort out the pain management. I imagine you have a long list of questions which hopefully the consultant can explain to your satisfaction.Great work villagelife 👏
What a strong lady you are Floss 👏 I hope you left a few cobwebs 😉😉 after all spiders can keep flying creatures in check 😉 that’s my excuse anyway 😂 Well done on using up the last of your aerosols - a medal 🏅 is on its way for your contribution to helping the planet 🙂 The furniture sounds beautiful.
Wow you have been busy Wednesday2000 👏The wind has picked up, it has gone very dark - rain isn’t too far behind ☹️See you all later.MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 1013/20212021 Savings Pot: £114.80 to end of MayBe Kind. Not a lot going off here due to upset tum.
Hoovered all bar the bedrooms.
Put shopping delivery away.
Due to rain, hail and thunder the towels went in the dryer I'm afraid.
I think you are doing better in the freezer defrosting Mrs SD, I've only got 3 draws and I'm not even halfway to having even 1 empty.£71.93/ £180.009 -
@balabooberlies so sorry to hear about your dad also ☹️
I have had a good day, the charity bag is so stuffed that I could grow it to 2 😉
2 bag for life shopper bags
Pair trainers
Make up /wash bags
Some sticky mat thing that holds some contraption in your car (?)
Dogs bathed, dog bedding chucked and new beds made.
Made sausage rolls but we have eaten them all(!)
Deep conditioned my hair and did 2 face packs if only to use them up.
Wardrobe organised and found a lot of clothes that could go - but I've kept for now maybe to sell.
Still need to sell the jewellery so no update there.
Emptied the hoover and filters etc.
All the 3 rounds of washing unsuccessfully still trying to dry on the airer.
We both have freezer to Microwave meals for tea so no real cooking or washing up today or tomorrow - hurrah 😂
Just doing froggy pensions paperwork type jobs! In an attempt to get that into the post today.
Lots of good wishes sent to all 💞💖💕
Grocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

Popping by to say Hi. I have been away for a few days and had a lot to catch up on. Hugs to all who are struggling.
Saturday i completed the Moonwalk (13.1miles) so I can now concentrate on my allotment. 😊
Sunday and Monday I visited my family in the New Forest and Portsmouth. One of my sisters is a certified hoarder and who wants to move. She has an 'indoor shed' filled with bags and stuff. DH and I pulled it all out and went through nearly all the bags and boxes with her rationalising and packing up again in easily moveable boxes. I am amazed at how well she did although she found it hard. We didn't pressure her over anything but managed to get her to release bags of stuff for the charity shop, the tip and general rubbish. 😊
Today I am sorting through it again as some of the CS stuff is probably not appropriate.
I still haven't given away the bags of clothes from last week or the stationary. Will get that done plus the bags of blankets, baby clothes and hats are being delivered to my friend to be sent to Malawi on Wednesday. That will be four bags. Very happy with all this going out but realsied that I have some way to go after visiting DSis. I have no room for smuggery.

Back soon with details of really big decluttering.I made surprising progress in my shed - I am one of those people that saves all cardboard and packaging in case I have to move. I also have a very compact bale of plastic recycling to take to Sainsbury’s but this involves 2 buses and a 15 min walk.
I am waiting to hear back from the food bank regarding a furniture collection. In a change of plan, I will be replacing some of my sitting room furniture rather than my bedroom. I have two small storage units and a computer chair to list on Facebook.I’m really pleased with the progress I’ve made in my garden. I try to go out and rake a small section every day – i’ve collected lots of moss this way which I used to line feature baskets.I’ve got a bit of a heavy heart at the moment. I’m trying, but I’m just going through the motions. I’m not finding much joy or energy in anything13 -
@balabooberlies thinking of you and your dad.
Skim read the New Minimalists - love the idea of getting all of one category together, and for clothes hanging up my 5 favourite things and then comparing things and doing wholesale 'get rid' but is way beyond me and I think of a reason for not doing for any category (although I did do it for cutlery on a much smaller scale. I'm back to swimming so trying to set a date - perhaps end of June and then accepting that if things don't fit me they go - shifting any weight seems impossible but the lockdown lard has accumulated. I then hope my cousin will come over and spend a day being my critical friend and I can do the same for her -- I feel I am spending hours tinkering/ moving the deckchairs and really want a major shift but not quite there - I can't get in DD1's old room to paint as too much stuff. Asked her to come and sort early June after exams (but she's on hospital placement so will be soo tired!).
@3secondmemory sorry you're finding things hard, it sound as if you're doing so much. Sometimes when you keep go despite a lack of joy it can creep back in gradually.
My plans of early nights haven't happened and I do think lack of sleep is a factor in being able to do much less, and being less motivated.9
