Afternoon all, managed the washing. Feel I've wasted the week being unwell but can't be helped.
Been out to get a dye for hair, and some meat shopping also posted birthday card.
Going to make a drink and see what can be decluttered. Seem to declutter and then re-clutter the space.
Funny dream last night (probably meds) that I was helping J R Hartley find his book (for anyone who remembers the advert!! ) now I think I am on the road to madness 😂😂😂🤔
Back later if I achieve anything xGrocery challenge Feb £107/£100-epic fail due to cake and biscuits

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Friday started as a lovely, sunny & warmish day. However the moment I stepped out the front door it started raining ☹️😱 Rained so heavily that even the bus shelter was no protection ☹️☹️ Ticked a couple of things off my bingo card - P.O. to send recorded letter to German sister in law. Managed to catch a dry moment to walk to the bus stop & catch bus to MrA to buy birthday cards for July, August, September & October. No £1 Easter Eggs & no spaces left for them either ☹️. Bus trip home was in the rain but it kindly stopped for the short walk home 👏👏 Lunch was hm guacamole in tortilla cups - 😋 😋
Dinner was ribeye steak (meat box) with oven chips, roasted tomatoes & mushrooms plus garden peas - absolutely delicious 😋 🤤 (DH was in charge of cooking the steaks)
He also did the washing up - I dried & put away.666 - 669 Kitchen recycling, 2 newspapers, drinks cans - recycled670 Kitchen detritus - binnedGreat work oceanspirit 👏 Your niece is very lucky to have a trendy auntie 😉Good start to your cs bag, Wednesday2000 👏 I had to smile 😃 at the ‘need to buy coffee’ rather than ‘buying chocolate’ 😉😉Good for you mothernerd 🙂 My initial reaction has been that your mum seems rather ungrateful BUT of course I do not know the circumstances of her life 😔 The thing I react to is that she seems disrespectful towards you 😠 Anyway, that aside you are doing a great job - the garden will be wonderful & all the more so because you have done all the work 👏🙂 You seem to be a dab hand at DIY & I am in awe of your work ethic 🤩
So sorry about your brothers, it is so unfair ☹️ Re your eventual retirement - rant away about the government. It doesn’t seem to matter which lot are in power 😡 if you aren’t in their particular club they seem to think ‘tough luck’ 😡 Sorry 😞 my rant now over 😉
Now, now moneyonmymindsam ‘insert wagging finger emoji’ - you have been ill & unless you have been keeping something from us you are NOT “super girl” or “Wonder Woman”I remember the J.R.Hartley advert - yellow pages wasn’t it? I know it is probably rose tinted glasses, but seems like a gentler time. Adverts now are so harsh - advertising things like V*agr* etc 😱
Great work greent 👏
Excellent work short_bird 👏 & well done on your ingenious method 🤞😉

Morning everyone, hope you are well where ever you are.
I've made a plan for today to start. The hall is good and same for lounge. Now going to concentrate on kitchen then bedroom, spare room and bathroom.
Hopefully will manage all today but nothing left last night was just a general tidy up and didn't get any further than that. Not really much to go hence I can cover the 4 rooms in one stint.

Wow @moneyonmymindsam sounds like you've done so much if little to do. Do take care and pace yourself.
Asked Dd2 to go through large basket of random stuff , nothing had happened, she then said that she didn't want any of it. I held up things open by one and she realised she did. I explained she needed to sort into rubbish/ recycle/ keep and then if someone else can use. If she gets first two will be good. I've got summer suitcase of clothes out so my room.looks as if ransacked!
Hope everyone manages to enjoy the sunshine forecast.9 -
I remember that JR Hartley advert.
I have done some decluttering today and yesterday. I got my husband to go through his two boxes on his desk and get rid of anything not needed. He said he had been through them recently but I insisted and he binned quite a few things he didn't need! Haha. I was right.
I went to a drawer this morning that I hadn't looked in for a while and literally emptied almost all of it into the bin as it was full of things I wouldn't use and couldn't donate. I hadn't looked in that drawer in a while, obviously! I only kept a photo frame that I had forgotten I had bought from a chazzer last summer.
I am going to have a shower and then read a book in the sunshine in my garden. I started it and didn't rate it so it can go in the donation pile afterwards if I don't like it.2025 GOALS
