Morning hope everyone is really good.
Thanks @balabooberlies
I'm not sure how long I've been in bed for and when my last post was, so no prizes for brains here.
I have been in debilitating pain but now have some meds (from Monday but not sure if effective so will give it a go for now) have developed facial neuralgia (not sure if spelt right or proper terminology) probable guess is some sort of PTSD tick from losing mum but I'm not so sure. So from now on you can just refer to me as face ache 😂😅🙄
Place is an absolute bombsite as I have done very little, but at least I am not at work and haven't started the job yet.
Can't really rest as builders and scaffolding outside for neighbours so that's all noise and setting the dogs off at every clang.
Will aim to get up and get going at some point but plus one has posted some of my parcels from eboy (under duress) looks like my items may have auto-relisted so lucky I still have them 😂
I could have sold more local collection bits but as I've been unwell don't really want people coming round.
Brought myself an air dryer type brush for my "work hair" 😂 so hoping that may inspire some better self care.
Been catching up and everyone is really doing so well, it's often so hard to know where to start and if there is more decluttering to be done. I have started to think if I took everything out the house what would I put back in so makes it a bit easier in my head to let stuff go.
You do a great job @mothernerd and hope that you can schedule some downtime for you, don't ever feel lonely as we are all on here and rooting for you 😘x

Plans afoot to get a scanner to go through all the old negatives, photos and slides/transparencies and get them online: slightly stymied by the slides being larger than 35mm as they're at least 57 yeas old.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

moneyonmymindsam if you get any kind of spots be aware that it could be shingles (I hope it isn't but it took them a long time to diagnose when mum got it).
Thanks to everyone for your kind words and sympathy. I will be okay. In fact even writing it all down has helped. We have all had to adapt to the lock down as the situation changes but I'm also adjusting to many other things (worrying about DS3 and Beloved in my house as their inability to deal with things has meant a gradual deterioration which may be approaching another crisis point) so it's time to cut myself some slack. My cough has worsened and feels like it's tearing my chest out which is more debilitating than some of the serious health issues (medication has them more or less under control).
Yesterday was all about resting but I did get up early to take in a delivery (2nd week running mum has run out of something which has necessitated a delivery - both 'medical' not life threatening but things which make her more comfortable). Have been trying for one order every ten days or so. I was planning to do an order at the end of the week or early next and include all the 'Easter' things on it (in case the slots are all booked) but may do 2 smaller orders from different suppliers. Also recycled two bags of paper (mostly pill boxes and old appointments and govt 'advice') and a small old plastic table which has been in the yard for a few years and is covered in paint blobs. Bins went out for collection. It's a lovely day so there is lots I want to do outside but cough/ chest makes it inadvisable to do painting (the poor bolt on the gate has been part painted for months - did do all the silver bits on the gate bars at the same time but the black paint for the straight bars was still on order). Digging might be too much as well (had digger envy on Monday as next door's workmen had a mini digger and a cement mixer.
I will get there. I am only one woman with limited resources and a body weakened from years of overwork and worry. I don't trust Nietsche so I prefer the "Whatever doesn't kill us gives us a load of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a very dark sense of humour". My sense of humour is bubbling up and my spirits will rise. Think I might try looking through the seed box and seeing what I could start outside in the mini shelter I put up. Second wave of seeds definitely need setting off but anything that is not in my room is a bonus. There are also some tomato pots and similar sized plant pots which I could use to thin out some of the seedlings to give them space to grow on a bit before going into their final places. can use up the remains of the compost and accumulated mushroom boxes and make a bit of space in the yard.
I ordered meat in the order which came yesterday (made it up to the minimum order for free delivery) but think I will leave the cooking marathon for now and concentrate on using odds and ends from the fridge and freezer so I have a clearer idea what is left (stock checked but things have been taken out and added in since the start of the month) and make more space/ flexibility for the next order and it will help me put the list together. Okay I have a plan, will make a start (and include time for pampering and watching a bit more Torchwood and reading my book). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Tuesday was a sunny day but not too warm. Did nothing. Hm soup for lunch. Baked salmon, boiled potatoes, peas & sweetcorn for dinner. Gradually emptying freezer 🙂
Wednesday started sunny & warm but became overcast by midday ☹️ DH has just left for an optician’s appointment.645 - 647 Kitchen recycling, paper packaging, drinks cans - recycled
648 - 650 Kitchen detritus, office detritus, bedroom detritus (DSis) - binned
TC77, glad I could help. Re the stars - I found them on the ‘smilie icon’ on the iPad keyboard - bottom left next to the “ .?123 “ icon. Hope that helps 🤞I like Andrew Mellen as he is very calm 🙂
Oh mothernerd - I just wish I could give you a huge hug 🤗 & give your mum a brain & personality transplant 🙃😉🙃 yes I am joking about your mum or am I? Your love for your mum shines out but sadly you are in a thankless position ☹️ However, I would like to praise you for your dedication & the fact that you are keeping your mum safe 👏👏
I really wish I could offer more practical assistance - I am quite good at following directions - just poor at making decisions 😉 Keeping everything crossed 🤞 that Boris’s roadmap works & that the science backs up the roadmap. Perhaps then you can go home & have some fun in whatever form that takes 🤞🙂🙂 Down time is all very well but it is no substitute for doing something fun 😉
You are AMAZING mothernerd - I am astonished & astounded by your determination & indomitability to overcome all obstacles placed in your path. You are an inspiration to us all - thank you (somehow not a big enough word) from the bottom of my heart 👏 (P.S. Please do try & get the cough sorted out).
Excellent work GrannyKate 👏 you have been busy 👏 Any chance of DS1 sorting out his own paperwork 😉😉
Re the job related legal stuff any chance of a bonfire or maybe use in a chiminea - I think it would be quite therapeutic to watch it burn 😉
Wow 🤩 TC77 you are flying along 👏 Your healthy eating plan is working wonders 🙂 every item out is a success 👏
Excellent work EnergyShifter 👏 Recording your new morning routine definitely counts as decluttering 👏👏🙂 Each day you tick off is reinforcing your routine & proving to you that you are a success 🙂 You are also decluttering stress & meeting your original plan of incorporating ‘doing stuff’ 👏 Keep up the good work 🙂
Good work newlywed 👏 & congratulations on the weight loss 👏Oh moneyonmymindsam ☹️ My hug bucket is full so I am sending you gentle hugs 🤗 & positive vibes that your new medication is efficacious (back to trying to find more descriptive words to use 😉) What a brilliant idea moneyonmymindsam 👏 “mentally empty the house & decide what you would return” such a great idea that it merits a Gold Star ⭐️You do make me smile balabooberlies 🙂 A snail’s pace is a lot quicker than I am going at the moment 😉 so try not to be too downhearted 🙂
Good work short_bird 👏 Re the slides perhaps there is a company who can do it for you? My DH found a place that transferred/converted my reel to reel music & VHS tape to CD, DVD & memory stick. Just an idea 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 650/20212021 Savings Pot: £41.00 to end of MarchBe Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Thank you everyone. I've got plus one cooking egg, HM chip and sausage
later so might be able to get something hearty to eat.
Went at a snails pace but managed to do usual rubbish plus a very bobbly pair legging/pj bottom so I've just put in bin.
Dog toy which once upon a time resembled a squeaky turkey.
Lots of empties like mouthwash/toiletries decluttered from the bathroom - on the side at the minute as will have to look what is recycling and what is just rubbish.
Think that's it for me and my power hour done 😂

Good afternoon everyone
I am officially on annual leave however best laid plans for complete house over haul declutter reset clean shine and all the rest had to be put on hold as LO developed a cough. Had to get a covid test and stay at home until results - so no preschool and no real free time for me....
well off we drove to the test centre and I hope this makes someone laugh.... you have to climb into the backseat from the front ( not allowed to get out the car) try to swab LO without touching anything but the inside of her nose... so you need 3 hands - one to hold her head still, one to stop her pulling the swab with her hands and one to hold the swab and do the test ..... but I only have 2 hands. Then once your done you have to flash the car lights, check everything is all in the right bag with the right labels and then place the bag in the collection bin. Obviously 🙄 back in the front seat to be able to drive off. So it’s very important to learn from these experiences and so if I had to help anyone else with this in the future at the very least I would suggest ..... don’t wear a skirt...... 🥴
anyway good news the result came back negative. This afternoon I took 3 big bags of loft room clothes shoes and accessories to the clothing bin. I had listed a few items to sell but as they hadn’t gone in a few days I decided my project is to make a real difference to the house whilst I have this time off work. the piles of “stuff” to sell is not really helping. So am pleased to get it out the way.
I am striving to put the washing away straight off the airier, or straight out the tumble dryer so again I don’t have clean laundry taking up a seat on the sofa for hours / days on end.... on a positive the freezer has remained organised so that’s great.
I found 100 pounds of theatre vouchers in a bag in the loft. I have put all our wedding cards in a small bag and got rid of some very old random paperwork not needed. Now I am sat down with a cuppa and will have a rest 😊
I think I have a signature now - thanks so much for the medal @Mrs_Salad_Dodger 😊
Hope everyone who is under the weather starts to feel better soon 😘9 -
@D123456789
That's a brilliant find with the vouchers, hope LO is bit better always a worry when they have a little something.
Good to hear you are having a well deserved cup of tea and rest.
Sometimes just the "mental wealth" of getting the stuff out is so much nicer than a little money.

Thanks Mrs SD. Paperwork was my copies of DS1's legal issues and supporting case law. I know he would have disposed of it but that would mean me looking at it until I am able to see him on the other side of country. Shredding a small pile at a time. Decluttered money for car service and MOT today but passed ok and no expensive issues with service.
588 6 files of paper emptied out and either recycled or put in shredding pile
589 Assorted rubbish from car before it went to garage

591-592 Magazines read and recycled
593 Bags of shredded paper put out for tomorrow's collection
594-595 2 bags of food etc to food bank
