Evening MrsSD and fellow declutterers, well I felt a bit flat today. Glad I didn't pencil in our daughter's bedroom tidying up session for this week 😉 My wife is struggling with her mental health at the moment, she keeps telling me she is ok, but I know the real answer is different. Working at the weekend gives her something to hold onto and motivation and to escape from being a mum and homeschool teacher. I worry how she will manage her days when our daughter goes back to school. Will be checking in every day from work. So, back to the decluttering. Only did two shelves in the dining room. Rearranged and resorted with a small amount of paper decluttering done. Looks a lot better. During the week, I decluttered three crochet books to a friend of ours who does online quizzes every week (good deed 1) and am hoping to declutter some baby books to a first time mum and friend of mine (good deed 2). Found a old Christmas card containing an email address for someone who I need to contact, after losing touch. So that was helpful. Beginning my planting for 2021 tomorrow, a bit of container gardening will help my mind and should boost my mood, cheers 🙂9

Ps: thank you MrsSD for the gold star and medal for our daughter from last week 🙂 it was appreciated. Her bedroom is still tidy, so far so good 😉9

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Saturday was another sunny day though not particularly warm but I did hang out yesterday’s washing - mostly dried but given 15 minutes in the td to soften up the towels etc. Apart from Wudupa I have spent most of the napping 😱 Dinner was a takeaway - posh burgers & chunky chips which I enjoyed but DH & DSis thought was not as good as last time 😞
DH cleaned both his motorcycles.
463 Cardboard packaging - recycled
464 Kitchen detritus - binnedTC77, a proper sporting standard for your DD2 👏 such a shame about the long term injury ☹️ If the cricket kit is good quality I don’t see why the cs wouldn’t take it. You must have some lovely memories of watching DD2 & presumably she has medals & newspaper clippings as well as her Cap?What a beautiful cat house vulpix 👏 Neighbour’s cat will love it 😉😂
Great work GrannyKate 👏 Exceedingly impressed that you are basically clutter free - you deserve a 🏅 Plans for the cabin sound great - when can I move in 😉😉 Good luck with the reduction in expenditure 🤞 Now that you are aware, I have every faith that you will trim your outgoings to a figure you are happy with 🙂 You are definitely on a roll & I am awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ re the decluttering of 53 to 67 year old school paperwork 👏
Bit_by_bit, that is a great breakthrough 🙂 getting more pleasure from selling/donating rather than keeping 👏 I am hoping that when the cs are open again they will not be completely inundated with stuff 🤞but will accept our stuff 😉😉
Wow Frogletina 🤩 well done on sorting your clothes 👏 Bearing in mind the amount of weight you have already lost 👏, are the clothes that don’t fit too large now? You could dress up to get your jab 😉😉
Great work HappyKitties 👏 Talk about forward planning 😉Floss, well done on the sales 👏 I am keeping everything crossed that your huge heap of clothes sells quickly & for lots of cash 🤞 The cat defurring must have been hugely satisfying Floss 🙂Had to smile moneyonmymindsam 🙂 Well done on the decluttering 👏 By the way your February grocery challenge was NOT an epic fail & you are very naughty for saying it was (wagging finger emoji) Hope the headache has gone 🤞You have been very busy gilly1964 👏 Ten bags of garage detritus 👏👏 That was quick gilly1964 😥 just 2 weeks 😱 Hopefully with Boris’s roadmap, you will be able to meet up with your colleagues in the not too distant future 🤞 The emotion should be less raw by then 🤞 I agree that deleting emails is very cathartic - especially if they don’t have to be read 😉Good work Barny1979 👏 ‘Perished at the crotch’ sounds like a heavy metal band 🤭Great work oceanspirit 👏 Well done on sorting out a frog 👏 Still very impressed by you helping your friend out 🙂 so I hope you are polishing your halo 😇 regularly
You have been exceedingly busy mothernerd 👏 By the way all that painting does count as decluttering 😉🙂 Not only the paint, but a task crossed off your To Do list 👏 I agree with moneyonmymindsam that the chicken in leek sauce sounds delicious 🤤
Sorry to hear you have been unwell nannywindow ☹️ but as you say, a few pounds lost 😉 Very pleased that your energy levels are up but please don’t overdo it 🙂
Good work EnergyShifter 👏 still on track with 21pw 👏
Sorry that you have a touch of the ‘COVID Blues’ leelad ☹️ This has all dragged on so long that I am surprised we aren’t all ‘flat’. You are coping with a lot, leelad so I am sending you lots of positive vibes & hugs for you & your family. Well done on the decluttering 👏 & a shout out to your daughter for keeping her room tidy 🙂 Tomorrow sounds like it will be a lovely day 🙂
Great work Gem-gem 👏

It’s been a crazy week here for me, so I haven’t had a lot to report. I do feel motivated after catching up on all the posts - some of you are decluttering at incredible speed!I discovered Olio it seems quite active in our area, so when I emptied the fridge yesterday and did a quick clean, I offered some food which we haven’t gotten around to eating and it was requested and contactless collection within an hour. Very pleased, will do this again! Can also do non food items..
have a package to send of a bundle of LO winter clothes to flea bay. They are changing the way they pay you now, not using PayPal which is a blow to me because I only usually spend what’s in my PayPal account , so if I don’t sell I can’t buy IYSWIM. so if the money goes straight in my bank I am at risk of overspend.... will have to think about that....
DH cleaned the shutters and the windows in the front room whilst I was doing a batch cook, so I was very pleased I didn’t have to do that job myself!Have a great Sunday all 😊11 -
My next declutter mission has started today, Operation Declutter Lockdown Lard.
I no longer have a muffin shelf, I have a muffin bakery. I have faffed around at Slimming World for so long and the arthritis is my knees is starting to get painful.
Breakfast was ham, mushroom and pepper omelette with some grated Babybel and a drizzle of HP sauce. Lunch is roast beef with roast potatoes, carrots, leeks, tender stem broccoli and green beans.
Hubby is having a day off from everything as reacted to his Covid vaccine, he cannot lift his arm but other than that he is fine.
I am hoping to do a bit in the garden, it is amazing how a little cutting back can make it look so much better
Have a good day all
All the best
