1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Back to Thursday - Dinner was chicken fried in butter, boiled potatoes, sweetcorn, peas.
Wudupa straight after dinner. Just remembered, The recycling chaps came again 🙄Milkman was paid before I went to bed.Friday was the day for DH’s jab. He went by bus & left himself plenty of time to get to the hub. Guess what - he arrived 50 minutes early - no traffic, no-one getting on or off the bus 😉 He pootled around for 15 minutes, then decided to see if there was a queue. The nurse he spoke to said it didn’t matter that he was early - told him to take a seat & fill in his form. Next thing you know he was called through for his jab 🥳 His was the AstraZeneca one. Straight in, straight out - 11 minutes before his actual appointment time 🥳 Picked up a few bits from the greengrocers.Good news, the 4th quote came & now we appear to have a winner - only one quote was fully itemised & costed - take down the rest of the wall £, skip hire £, buy new bricks £, labour £ etc.My day has consisted of doing 3 loads in wm, one load in td & hopefully the rest will be hung out tomorrow 🤞 Spoilt myself with a long soak in the bath, re-reading the 1st book in The Dark Tower series.Dinner was bacon, egg, chips & plum tomatoes for DH & DSis. I had lo cheesy pasta from the fridge - added some sliced tomato & mozzarella & heated through in oven whilst chips were cooking. I also had a couple of bacon medallions 😉

461 - 462 Kitchen detritus x 2 - binnedGreat decluttering GrannyKate 👏 Small people are not conducive to cleaning unless you can get them to help you 😉🙃 For not feeling energetic you have been very productive - cleaning, repurposing thereby saving cash & tidying/decluttering 👏👏 A handmade family heirloom - how lovely & I really hope one of the granddaughters will love it 🤞Great work TC77 👏 I love the idea of making decisions on clothes using ‘Zoom Test’ or ‘Answering the Door Test’ Ashamed to say it wouldn’t work for me - don’t do Zoom & as long as I have clothes on, I don’t really care what other people think 😉😉 although I do scrub up well & can be smart 😉😉 I am also impressed about the ‘Pending Decisions’ pile. Hope the swimming pool opens soon 🤞 Enjoy your time off in March & well done on having some nice things to do 🙂👏 A great start 👏 although I am curious about the cricket ball 😉😉
vulpix ☹️☹️ I lose posts when I start then wander off to do something 😞 but it sounds like you have a gremlin 😖 Naughty gremlin - seems to be working overtime 😡 Shame about the suggested wedding venue but take heart that the best wedding parties are those where everyone (family/friends) chips in with the decorating, catering etc & free room hire is an added bonus. Remember the old adage ‘every cloud has a silver lining’ After all the wedding is the important thing 🙂 Can you post the picture here vulpix, pretty please 😉
Great work moneyonmymindsam 👏 Quite agree, when you are on a roll just go with it 👏What a successful day moneyonmymindsam 👏 Re the half curtain rod, could it be used in the garden? Well done on the sales, packaged & posted 👏 The sunshine has spurred you on - are you solar charged 😉😆Mothernerd, sorry you are struggling ☹️ but very proud of you for putting your ‘positive head on’ I need to get a move if I am going to catch you 😉 Really well done on changing your mindset to if I find ‘it’ all well & good but I will not look for ‘it’ specifically 👏👏 You really did put your ‘positive head’ on - you have been very busy 👏 Your new total earns you a Gold Star ⭐️ which is flying to you first class 👏 Tidy sum saved 👏👏
Wow 🤩 mothernerd - forget a positive head you are oozing positivity from every pore 🥳 Busy, busy, busy 👏👏 Five minute tidy, advert break tidying - little & often - I need to make that my mantra 😞Lovely cheerleading bit_by_bit 👏🙂Well done oceanspirit 👏 Your first 100 done & dusted 👏👏🥳 and lovely that you are finding treats 🙂
Excellent work retiredinfrance 👏 and well said re charity donations 🙂 Why on earth some people think it is acceptable to donate rubbish, filthy clothes etc is beyond belief & rather disgusting in my opinion 🤢 It is a good job there are so many people (lots of them on the MSE OS Forum 🙂👏) who are decent, kind, caring & people I am glad to have met even if only virtually 🙂 I have never worked in a cs but I did have a summer job in a laundry once & the job I absolutely hated was sorting & labelling the clothes, bedding etc
- gas masks should have been supplied 😉 sometimes even full hazmat suits 😉
A lightbulb moment Nicnak 👏 stop counting & change to ‘needed or not’ & deal appropriately 👏👏👏Good work short_bird 👏MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 462/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Stay Safe. Mrs SD - cricket ball as DD2 plays alot of sport - or did before Covid. Football, hockey, cricket and tennis, so lots of equipment. Just counted 8 footballs - apparently slightly different sizes are useful. We have a very narrow hall so has to be kept elsewhere. As she doesn't have many clothes and other stuff the majority of things to be decluttered are mine and a few from DD1s that she has left or brought back as moved house shares (sometimes pots etc needed).
DD2 used to play county/proper club sports before long term injury .Offered her cricket kit (match shirt/ popover/ training shorts/trousers, hoodie, track top and different styles of t-shirts (really!). to donate to other youngsters but no-one contacted me and uniform has changed. Seems too good quality for rags but can't see useful to CS, I'm abit nostalgic as she won't play at that level again - she's keeping her cap. Realise better for me to print some of the photos of her playing etc rather than have old kit!
Feeling lazy today but looking around need to take action !10 -

I got up at completely silly o'clock (about 5.30) - Spent an hour saving emails for a role I have on history group as email provider changes this weekend. Then sorted through anything I need to keep and wrote my next report while I was doing it. I'm giving myself 3 decluttering points for this.
Did the rest of the kitchen cupboards and cleaned microwave (which was disgusting) and fridge and ejected anything beyond eating. The only items left on the February cleaning bingo grid are oven, Cabin and garage part 2. There are quite a lot of things to go to charity shop in garage and it needs a nice day to empty on to drive and sweep out so putting it on my next 3 month grid. The cabin is dependant on sorting stuff in there from my mother, mil and DH - DS2 has a plan for decorating out there and making it into a nicer garden room and outdoor playroom for grandchildren. It is insulated and has wifi etc. Currently using it to start my seeds off. There is still a small amount of unsorted stuff in loft to go through. I am doing 2 grids for March to May. One for cleaning and one for diy/decorating. I will try and do one off each list every week. None of the rooms in the house has any stuff that is not there for a reason and it has all been sorted and pruned. I have all the windows open and I plan to go out in the garden this afternoon if it stays nice.
I have been checking my end of month accounts. Keeping a detailed list of sundry odd items bought for two months has been an eyeopener. I just kept an overall total last year but now I can see clearly where money goes and I have reduced it significantly in February and added to my savings. I don't need 90% of the things I buy. Now I need to tackle grocery as it is ridiculous for 1 person living alone with 1/2 stay overs from small children each week. I have an order due Tuesday and I plan for that to be my only big shop in March if I can get away with it. I can do batch cooking a bit more now my freezer is sorted. I spent £385 in February which is probably double what I should be spending. It was even more in January.

Thanks Mrs SD.
Amazing 🐈house @Vulpix.
I feel like I am moveing on from my stuff emotionally. It brings me more joy to sell something than to keep it. It just makes me miserable when I look on my stashes of books and craft stuff as I know I will never use it all and I am not going to waste my life trying to sell it all. Just need the energy and the charities and CS shops to be open now for drop off.

I've been sorting out my wardrobes and trying clothes on today and yesterday. One wardrobe has my holiday clothes in and my longer dresses, and now also the clothes that don't fit.
I've got rid of 5 items, 2 pairs of short holiday trousers and 3 holiday tops.
My daily wardrobe contains my other dresses, skirts, trousers and tops (except for 5 t shirts (currently in a drawer) but that might change.
I've worn all of my dresses that are in my daily wardrobe in sequence, and checked my skirts, quite a few went into the other wardrobe for now.
The tops I haven't checked yet, but I will do. I have 3 pairs of trousers, same size and bought together but I've lost weight since I bought them and two pairs haven't yet been worn!
I have two suits. One, which has trousers and a skirt, now fits! Goodness knows when I will wear it though, but I I tend to find out if I ever get to leave this house!
I've lost 35lbs since July, and hoping to lose another 20lbs
