Struggling today, everywhere looks a mess. Possibly because the line of cube boxes on the drawers will make sense when everything is sorted and it will be much easier to access things I use regularly (craft items, tools etc) at the moment they are in my line of sight and all the stuff that still needs tackling looks so messy.
However it is a beautiful day (washing on , ready to go out). I might go and start on the painting or at least take all the paint cans outside - don't want them in the shed as I need to take more out (everything out?) and put it back how I want it, but I think they would be safe outside perhaps under the garden table, next to one of my 'painting stations'.
I did watch several of the Slob comes clean videos (really need to sort out that 'making a spot tidier than when you started, so that you can stop at any point). Think I need a bin bag and just go round finding stuff to throw, even if I don't think it will help much.
Positive head on - going to skip (mentally my legs don't do skipping or jumping anymore) round the garden with a bin bag, kick a few piles of stones into buckets, relocate stuff where possible (could the cs shop be hung up in the shed - certainly needs bagging properly as items have been taken out there as I found them). I won't sing as i don't want it to rain (or make the neighbours complain. Total as of yesterday evening is 495/ 2021 (9 packs of seeds set off - bought a collection so not vast numbers of each seed) and this morning I have given mum 6 first class stamps (from a pack of 12). When I said I was going for an eye test on Friday she started asking for random items - I just said No to buying stamps (for a hundred reasons) but I knew I had some. I no longer go rummaging through piles of stuff to locate single items - just keep plodding through and things I want will turn up (I have found bits of money but nothing dramatic and most has gone straight into my penny challenge tin).

Not feeling very energetic today but finished off cleaning the study and gave myself 4 points for decluttering and moving round;
453. Last cull left an empty filing cabinet drawer to which I have moved spare printer paper - new and used on one side (I have a pile nearly 2 feet high of the latter) also put camera and associated bits in there.
454 Cube unit (2 sections) left empty from above so repurposed it to make a bedside table for small bedroom/toyroom - I was going to buy one but this is ideal
455 Found some paper in pile which was already used on 2 sides so out to recycling before it is collected
456 Oddments of tat either thrown away or put with others of its kind.

100 things done - well a lot are bagged up in the yard for adding to the bin when there is room. Highlights old bottles used for plants last year (past their best, lots of clean ones for replacements) soil tipped into large plant pot, water into a large bucket, all bagged, new sack for clean bottles, added to collection behind the shed, one shed box emptied (mustard, packs of seed starter and one pair of boots brought in, old boots to bin - in case anyone wonders how such an odd collection came into being, last autumn someone offered to bring some things from my house, in their car. I was allowed back in my house then (we all wore masks) so packed 4 boxes - mainly tools but odd items of kitchen equipment and things I saw (gingerbread woman cutter in case we wanted an angel template for festive season). As tools were heavy an assortment of things went in each box to balance them. Boxes arrived, put in shed. Then mum had a paddy about the state of the yard so tons more stuff got put in the shed on top of them. I'm just getting near the floor now (still built up at the edges).
A £1 and a £2 coin found (£2 was in with my washing) so added to 'penny' tin. Counted how much was in, in notes and made it up to £200, so will add that into my penny calculations. Lots of items relocated but if cleaning stuff goes in the kitchen rather than my room, I'm happy with that - as long as it is where it will be used. So 595/ 2021. Just going to lie here and read my book for a while (+do shoulder shrugs). Food was all use ups. Had last 3 wraps from a packet yesterday. Didn't feel like cooking so mixed OOD coleslaw with tuna and bean salad on the wraps. Ate the remainder today. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8 -
Just lost another one!
Thank you for the wedding venue suggestion at Weston on the green. Sadly it is closed for refurbishment at the moment.
I think she has found somewhere only 2 minute walk from the chapel .Not an ideal lay out by any means ,no catering and no decoration. We will just have to muck in and make it pretty. No room hire though.
House cleaned yesterday including bed change and windows cleaned.
Cat house finished. Neighbours cat will enjoy it! ours have no interest, obviously.
Double glazed unit with cat door fitted into French Window. Much bigger job than we thought and plenty of swearing done.
Some gardening done.Freezing out of the sun so only did a couple of hours.
97. phone sold
101. 4 tee shirts too big
Pounds gained £170
Pounds lost 10lb

Been round the place with a bin liner in hand. Full bag out. 😂 I still have the half curtain rod - I might just have to stick it in the bin but loathed to do that so will try to hang on until a tip run.
Shuffled some money around so bank account OK. Paid 6 months water bill and April's CT so I am a little ahead.
I need to pay my car tax next month so I don't know if to pay in advance for 6 months and the rest when I have a job🙏
Plus one has had a clear out but has lumped some things on me to sell 🙄 if nothing sells at least the charity bag is full, and will make someone happy as we have been quite ruthless today.
On the mending front I need to sew a small hole in my shirt although not sure how the hole has appeared.
Need to hoover and sort washing now as had enough/given up on job applications today.
Will be sad to see my old wellies go 😂 but I've already had a word with myself about bag lady syndrome 😉

@retiredinfrance I am with you on the charity shops. Unfortunately I worlk in one. May have to rethink this.
@TC77 If you re feeling overwhelmed don't give yourself a huge list of tasks to do. Do some but also get some rest. You sound like you need it.

Some pottering about over the last few days has resulted in 17 items leaving, taking my total so far this year to 106. Lovely to reach the first 100 as it's not been an easy start. There are actually more items leaving than I'm remembering to count, particularly when it comes to using things up - various consumables I didn't even know I had which reveal themselves as I'm tidying. It's a lovely treat using posh moisturisers etc. Good for the soul whilst we're still in lockdown.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅11
