Gettingthrifty I feel your pain. Stupid question but have you been to your GP? Mine referred me to a physio who fast tracked me to a surgeon. Very successful operation followed. Also great advice about keeping important things all together. Similar to what I mentioned before about a house fire and being able to save sentimental photos.
79. Bra with stray wire I can’t get back in
80. Pilgrim necklace and earrings sold on FB
Pounds gained £115.Pounds lost 9lb

Can I be a late addition to this year’s thread? I posted all of once in the 2019 thread but have been a long time lurker! I never did move out so things have been piling up again.
Wasn’t sure if using a ‘2021 things in 2021’ target was realistic for me, but going to give it a shot and whatever I manage will be better than nothing!
January:
1 - Old duvet binned.
2 - Pile of scrap paper into recycling.
3 - Bulky cardboard boxes broken down and recycled.
4 - Plastic packaging split into recycling/bin.
5 - Old worn out trainers binned.
6 - Posters that I’m not hanging up into large portfolio to keep out the way.February progress:
7 - Drink cans from room into recycling.
8 - Xmas themed gift bag binned (looks like it’s been reused a few times so not worth adding to my xmas stash)
9 - Bday card from 2020 recycled.
10 - Opened a rucksack from when I last went away in the summer, found a choc bar that I had completely forgotten about (????), well past BB date so binned!
11 - scrap paper into recycling.
12 - annual paper bank statement filed in correct place (yes I know I should move to digital only, but I still like having physical copies I can lay my hands on...when they’re not in a huge pile of other junk paperwork!)14 -

Bought a pan stand for inside my cupboard, hopefully get it fitted in tomorrow. Hopefully make it easier to get at what I want, I hate those cupboards that you have to get on your hands and knees for.Do I need it or just want it.9

Gosh so much going on. Hugs to those who need it.
299 another sock to large draught excluder
300 broken pen
301 more emails unsubscribed and deleted - noticing the difference of what is coming in!
302 small bits as tidied and hoovered bedroom
303 lots of things rehomed elsewhere in house - nagged kids for not putting things away and then sharp reminder that the 20 + things haven't been put away in their 'home' during the week.
304 emails about ongoing issues sent
305 filing
306 DD shirt to go in CS. pair of trousers I didn't think she would want, used for school play - plain black but she likes and can use for 6th form next year (assuming they go back!)
Going to large retailer to get things in advance of our rescue cat arriving (delayed due to ringworm) so will be bringing more in, however, DD hoovered, and tidied her room, and area she uses as a study and bathroom!

vulpix thank you for your comments. Am so pleased you got sorted and you have relief.Im in my 3rd week of this. No back pain its severe pain/ intense cramping in back of my thigh particularly when standing..numbness back of thigh and side of foot. I spoke with GP and saw a physio who has frightened me with talks about discs degeneration epidurals and surgery! Physio is working on my hip and back to try and free up my guarding muscles and trying to get me walking without dragging my foot.
Am waiting for MRI results.
Loving seeing your pics and progress! What was the bingo did i miss that?
Taff steroid injection? That sounds lot less scary than surgery ..very pleased to hear it helped you.fingers crossed it will continue
Actually looking forward to zipping around my jobs and decluttering ..but currently stuck for now.

Not much today as having break from papers and photos and been to DS2 for roast lunch. (I have bubble with them). I realised that I am concentrating on 'declutter' and not so much of the 'clean' so next task is to finish going through boxes on utility room shelves and then give shelves a good clean before things go back. I think I use/need pretty much everything in there and it is pretty well organised so not much to go out.
I found a stash of screwed up plastic carrier bags in garage so folded them up samosa style and threw a few away. 20 good bags in my wall holder.
1. Carrier bags either folded (20) or in plastic recycling (6). 2 marks
2. Random plastic box from old fridge to rubbish
3. New ironing board cover fitted and old one thrown away. Bought it weeks ago but only just changed. Ironing board left out to declutter the ironing basket later
4. I old cloth thrown away
5. Another box of electronics etc sorted with DS - 6 rehomed and the other 6 I now understand what they are for. 12
So that's 17 to add today.2025 Decluttering Campaign 784/2025 🏅🏅🏅🏅(🏅🏅) 🌟🌟

Nothing much happening here, so just checking in to cheer you all on.
My sleep is getting worse and worse - I have no idea why - so it’s as much as I can do to get through work each day.
Had a long walk with the dog yesterday to try to tire me out - lovely walk but no effect on sleep at all.Today has been spent on the phone to my internet provider as the internet is poorly. I can expect to hear back by Wednesday. Not great for a home worker. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.10
