goodness so many posts to read. Love to all that need it just now. xxx
I LOVE the idea of activity bingo. I will copy this.
At the moment it is snowing heavily. Not unusual here. It does alarm DH as he is a city boy and not used to real weather!
All being well we will get our new to us car next Saturday.
I have taken a photo of the kitchen. I will post it tomorrow. I hope it will shame me into sorting it out. The thing about not having any visitors in the house means you don't have to be visitor ready.

Bala, I would help a lovely person like you any day
Sold 1 thing fleabay so if I use recycled packing, bubble wrap, box then it could be 4 things out 😂
Feeling really stressed today due to family fued, probate goings on and solicitors letters, tired of it all now. Prior to that I have 2 of mums special jumpers and was thinking of getting them made into sock monkeys, bears or hanging hearts for the family.
Something to think about if I raise enough ebay funds.

you don't know how that one comment has just lifted me. Am struggling with something quite huge (to me) and it's causing anxiety chest pains and mental exhaustion. You have just transported me to a better place.
Thank you

I managed to tackle the spare room before I hurt my back, maybe all that lifting and shifting is how I hurt my back. Anyway, it's now somewhere nice for visitors to stay, if we're ever allowed to have visitors again.
- My home office which is an absolute tip at the moment
- The spare room because it has been used as a bit of a dumping ground
- The large cupboard in the utility room which is jam packed

1. KITCHEN WILL CONTINUE TO BE LEFT CLEAN & TIDY EVERY NIGHT2. JUST DO ONE THING EVERY DAY (courtesy of bit_by_bit) OTHER THAN DAY TO DAY CLEANING & DECLUTTERING
3. CLEAN ONE ROOM (TOP TO BOTTOM) EVERY MONTH (hopefully 3 weekly by the end of the year)Another Saturday task - I stripped the bed, washed, dried & folded the bedding. DH & I rotated the mattress & then I remade bed with new bedding - a double sided duvet cover with a mauve & grey tartan pattern one side & hedgehogs on a grey background on the other side.Dinner was oven chips, baked mushrooms & tomatoes, ham & fried eggs 😋
296 - 298 Kitchen recycling, cardboard packaging (from new bedding), drinks cans - recycled
299 - 300 Kitchen detritus, plastic packaging (from bedding) - binnedThank you BarbCh 👏Yah boo Nicnak ☹️ I had the same problem many years ago now - painful & makes life really difficult - needed help getting dressed 😱 If I remember correctly I had a couple of injections & a couple of months of physiotherapy & various exercises I had to do at home. Please take care 🙏 Well done on the shredding 👏 & please let others help you 🙂Keep up the good work EnergyShifter 👏How fortunate Viking_mfw 🙂Very kind newlywed - hope your sister recovers soon.Fingers crossed moneyonmymindsam 🤞 1 item sold = 4 items out is perfect 👌👏 Sorry you have so much to deal with & that the family are being objectionable 😠
What a lovely idea - hopefully you can raise enough cash to bring this to fruition 🤞
vulpix, Doesn’t your DH appreciate one of the advantages of snow is that he can snuggle up with you 😉 Re not being visitor ready - remember there are ‘blinkers’ if they work for horses I am sure they would work for people 😉😉 failing that there are always blindfolds 🙃😉😉 What they can’t see won’t offend them 😉
balabooberlies, so sorry you are struggling at the moment ☹️ Hopefully you will accept a huge hug 🙂
Well done on the decluttering Lover_of_Lycra 👏 One Gold Star ⭐️ is on its way for the work in the spare room 👏 Now take it easy please - back pain is awful & debilitating - you need to give it time to get better 🙂MrsSD 🏅🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️Decluttering Target: 2021 300/2021Savings Pot:Be Kind. Did make progress yesterday but did not get as far as making the bed. I was expecting making the bed would take half a day. The mattress cover came off at one corner two days ago and has been causing problems ever since. The mattress cover and the cover I use instead of a duvet are both double layers of merino wool. I can barely lift them and putting the mattress cover back is more like laying a carpet - move it a few inches and then smooth it all out, repeat.
Large areas of the floor have been cleared, most of the things on the bed have been moved, 1 rubbish bag out, 2nd filling rapidly as is a bag for discarded paperwork and have gathered enough things for a second load of washing. Having problems with my eyes. I thought I had paint in the left one but it may have only been an eyelash but washed it out thoroughly. I probably had too much sugar (had some things that needed using up, defrosted berries in yoghurt and found some ood orange juice which I hoped would help combat the lack of energy and with the cold /sore throat which is gathering strength again - don't usually drink juice except on holiday and limit myself to a small glass. I also carried on embroidering too long and had too much screen time - the pattern was on the laptop as no printer here.
I'm also wearing my reading glasses full time. Very good for close work but anything further away becomes an amorphous mass. The towel I brought from home is white, mum's are turquoise but if I reach for what I think is the white towel, it might be a sheet and the turquoise towel could be one of several items of clothing I own. Yesterday's main effort was filling a bag for life with as much stuff from the floor as I could before bending became impossible or I went dizzy. Then brought it to the bed to sort - have a tray with seed packets, mine and mum's paperwork (mostly health related, some very old from the drawer I was working on and also rummaged through trying to find the photos that were not where mum said they were), plastic boxes and lids (did a load of chopping and peeling of use up veg in bed when I wasn't well), odd embroidery threads, any small items that go missing the moment I put them down. Sorted 3 bags and also did extra litter picks as an area cleared - mostly bits that have missed the bin (at home I have drawer handles and bedhead that I can hang them from, mum's handles are useless).
Anyway, I am making progress on the plan which is to clear the floor area, sort anything on the bed, then have dedicated floor space for different categories of bedding (hopefully have space to unfold a garden chair for the merino cover as it's really hard to get it off the floor) and sorted items. Couple of sheets to the wash pile, make bed (probably with several rest breaks in between - it will be easier once the mattress cover is back in place), then probably collapse on top of the bed. I need to clear the area near the window, water any seeds I haven't reached, turn the boxes round, add the second layer of boxes and seeds, sort my bedside trolley (like a raskog) - new pills have come so need to do a rotation to make sure the old ones are used first. When all that is done I will have proper access to the drawers and wardrobes to put clothes away (with the weather they have mostly been on hangers and over doors to dry) including the drawer of doom (mostly mum's stuff which is absolutely useless but 'must be kept' - need to try and make more space in the under bed drawers or the shed).
Think I will have to make this the week's task (outside stuff can be done in small batches) but today the bed. Looking on the bright side at least I'm not sleeping with a crowbar. At my old (larger) house the attic stairs were breaking up (had not been installed properly - previous owner had basically glued them to the sides). After several part repairs we dismantled them (with the help of DS3's friend). All the uprights and steps and the stair rail were in my room (at right angles to the attic stairs door), plus all the tools and a small chest of drawers being used as a workbench. When it was bedtime, I wasn't sure what to do with the crowbar. I only knew that in any nighttime encounter with the crowbar, I would come off worst. So I put it on the side of the bed I wasn't using (against the wall as bed had to be moved to accommodate stair parts and tools) and slept safely. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10 -

Wow, you sound like you have some task ahead of you and great that you are making inroads... regardless of time, speedy, lacking in energy (know how you feel with that one)
Well done to what you have achieved.
I love quotes that empower me and motivate me, so I'll share this one to spur you on

Sciatica is worse than ever ,so does this count?..
Had the conversation with DS about my life book. Whilst im only 55 ..(although spine feels 105🤣🤣) am putting together a file of my financial stuff if i have an accident /illness / or need him to deal with anything in an emergency situation
Insurance..wills ..numbers of the main utility suppliers..financial advisor s etc and update as they are renewed..
My 81 y old mum has done this and gives her great reassurance we wont have to go on a house hunt for it all if needed.
Have friends currently trying to deal with loved ones property and affairs and are grieving and finding important things in coat pockets and yellowed envelopes in books!
Sorry if i sound gloomy but its a relief for me to have the important stuff in place

228 shower gel bottle, kids left empty on the bath.
229 potato sack
230 large tea bag box (typical as the shop is coming today and didn't realise I was on the last packet).LBM in April 17 - Starting card debt £33554

Gettingthrifty I feel your pain. Stupid question but have you been to your GP? Mine referred me to a physio who fast tracked me to a surgeon. Very successful operation followed. Also great advice about keeping important things all together. Similar to what I mentioned before about a house fire and being able to save sentimental photos.
