I would love to join this but am tied into a fixed rate mortgage where I can only op £1000 this year-this ends next year and that’s when the overpayments will be much bigger, should I just wait and join the 2022 thread next year?
£1,000 is great, there are people with smaller and larger goals taking part in this challenge, but it all adds up :)
I've given you #124, welcome on board!
  • Hi Julicorn, I've overpaid all I can this year. Unfortunately I can't view the first page to check what number I am or how much I have overpaid! 😖 But wanted to let you know anyway, thanks for all your work on the thread!
    April 2021: Total debt £16016

    Goal: Dec 21: £12000

So no 'tinternet' for 6 days.... grrrr.... I have lost about £25 - 30 extra pennies.... not a happy bunny.   :#

Now after having the engineer out today have to ring and tell someone, I am pickled off... even more, if possible!!!  If my name was "Queenie" I'd be, knocking someone's block off.   Worse than before it went down... problem at the exchange my fudge.

Scrapings from the bottom of the bag, settee, pockets, ashtray in car and all other secret pilfering's.

Wonder if I can claim for my daily St0rewards points I have missed?

HI @julicorn #27 here  - I made a massive mistake earlier this year that I've only just spotted, sorry. Can you update my figures as follows please? Total for the year so far only £364.88
    Jan £132.32
    Feb £132.32
    Mar £59.12
    Apr £59.12

I've got some serious catching up to do over the rest of the year to stay on target! :(

    Thanks so much Julicorn!

do you (or anyone else) know how I can get onto page 1 on an iPhone apart from
clicking back on all the pages? The new layout doesn’t seem particularly user friendly on iPhone and the spreadsheet is on page one so would be handy to view it

  • Hi
I'm new here.  Can I have a number please? My goal for 2021 is to overpay 10k.
Current mortgage balance 142128. Have over paid £90 in Jan/Feb/March each month. April have overpaid £1000 and have just set up a recurring OP of £350/month from May.
  • #124 reporting with a £10 OP for April please (test payment to ensure account details were definitely right!)

this is probably a silly question, but I have seen people talking about their overpayments and their mortgage year running eg April-April. Is this how all lenders work? I had assumed it was Jan-Jan which is why I said about overpaying 1000(my yearly max with Ulster Bank.My fixed rate ends 31st July 2022 so would that actually mean I could OP 1000 now for example, and then come august 2021 pay another 1000 as it’s a new year?

maybe I should check with my lender but if that’s the case then hopefully I can increase my goal!
