Thank you, I am pushing to reduce my OD as quickly as I can. One thing I have learnt is that an EF helps me to feel more secure and I want that feeling back ASAP.
Oh has had a letter about his pension from work, which has been set up now, I'm not sure on contribution levels but will have a look when he is paid. He has also got notification that he will be getting a payrise and we are waiting to find out when that starts. I think that as its money we have never had we will probably direct this to his pension and aim for us to both be contributing 10%.

If you're managing on current salaries it makes sense to save / pension any rises, each year / rise evaluate and see if it can get added or whether some is needed.
You're doing so well.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Thank you MF
I have been incredibly lucky in that a family member has leant me the money to cover the OD so I don't need to pay fees. We didn't ask and are very appreciative of this. I want to show I am committed to paying them back ASAP so still very focused on that.
We are taking the boys for a swim today and then have friends visiting.
I had a wellbeing treatment from a friend yesterday who has started her own business, it was lovely and she has suggested we continue apts but do a trade off for skills so I will be doing her nails in return for the treatment which is win win for us both 🙂

Oooh how lovely, nice nails and a treatment!!!! It is nice when you dont need to worry about the OD, and it's reducing stress that you are paying them back at your own pace.
I hope you have a good day with the boys swimming. Sounds like a great day Enjoy.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222 -
Skill swapping is a good way of getting things done.
A helping hand from family is saving you money, another positive.

Hello,
Just thought I would drop in after pay day. I have paid a little back to my family and hoping to clear what I owe next month or by January at the latest. I feel very exposed atm but so pleased to see the lower mortgage payment pending in my account.
I have had a busy half term with the smalls and work. Next week I am working an extra 2 days which will be stressful but will help add to the pot and my ability to pay what I owe and restart my EF.
Hubby's work are offering it at an enhanced rate in Dec and he has said he will get extra hours where he can. He has had his first payment into his pension which is an excellent step forward, we need to move his other pensions over and then when we have a min of 1k EF look to increase his contributions.
Promotion wise..... Its moving very slowly!!!
We have a very exciting money goal coming up (watch this space) which is spurring me on to keep paying what I can.
I got some good Xmas deals in a toy shop and have therefore managed to get most of my Xmas shopping lots of toys hidding in hubby's car boot atm, don't tell the boys!
Few drinks with hubby tonight as we both have the day off tomorrow.
Enjoy your weekends and I promise to try and drop in more

It is great that you are paying the family back and doing extra hours but dont tire yourself out as half term with little ones is hard work. Well done on Christmas Shopping for children. The new money goal sounds intriguing. Have a good weekend Longwaytogo.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222
