Wow, tune us flying by. So after fixing my husbands car twice it was oatked and got written off... We have had to get a new car and sort all the related bits out. We got some from insurance but not enough to cover it.
The garage roof gas finally been done and tge EF has taken a bit if a battering yo say the least.
Oh has been able to do some OT and I am currently in discussions regarding a long over due promotion (I have been doing the role for years and not been paid for it).
We have been staying with friends which has been lovely and my OH has booked a little get away for us as its my birthday soon.
I think following this building the EF will resume but it's been very difficult for a while now as we have been smashed by do many things unfortunately. However after seeing the way it all comes at once and how much help tge EF was I will be much keener to build it tgan before when I wanted to pay money against the mortgage instead. Here's to building my cosy blanket again.
We will need to fund a garage door and dare I say it Christmas will be here before we know it.
Hope everyone is well, sorry for the delay between posts but life us a whirlwind right now.Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. You've got the three bad things out the way, and more, now it's time for the good things to roll.
Keep adding spare pennies to the EF and it will build up. The cosiest blanket is one made of loads of things, created over time and each holds a memory.
Good luck with the promotion, fingers and toes are crossed!Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thanks MF, hopefully I will hear when I am back in work in a few weeks.
I am really hoping it's all the bad stuff out the way for now but thank you so much for your encouraging words re the EF as it has really helped in these turbalent timesMortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650. Blimey things do come in 3's and you have dealt with them well. Most people struggle with one emergency and you dealt with them all. It's great that your husband is doing OT and I hope work sorts out your true worth. Stay strong ok. It's a funny time for us all but it will all be better then the last 18 months things will get better.Aiming for a minimal spend 20222

Thank you SW.
I had a few hours to myself today so have been out and treated myself to some clothes... I havent purchased many since the start of the pandemic so was a lovely treat and gives me something new to wear on my birthday.
I am trying to stay positive and looking to build the EF which will hopefully stay around for a bit longer this time.Mortgage Aug 2019 161,000 :eek::eek::eek:Nov 2019 156,500:T Jan 2020 153,122:T, Apr 2020 149,500, Apr2021 139, 675, Oct 2021 136,823, Dec 2021 136,120🙂EF 0/12,000 (0%)😕 (5062.44 was ERC), Jan 2023 128,650.
