Things are moving apace. Have received an email, with my final bill, which says my credit will be refunded within 7 working days. I deleted my Direct Debit, this morning, to be on the safe side. However, this now means I have to contact YE to arrange payment into my account, which would otherwise have been automatic. It is a real shame this has befallen YE as they certainly seem to strive to be one of the good guys.0

Still able to log in to my account and see my account. All bills already downloaded and with account well in credit, DD has been cancelled.
Tariffs have been crunched on my figures, with a little help from CAB comparison site and to spark a little debate on the merits of dual fuel or separate suppliers. These are in the Yorkshire area and are by no means the end of my tariff comparing.
Cheapest Fixed Tariff Dual Fuels
Utility Point £1,331.82. Green Fibonacci £1,326.01. PFP £1,335.73. Avro £1,446.75. Shell £1,450.44
Separate Suppliers Fixed Tariffs
Gas Utility Point £486.47. Electric Green Fibonacci £721.87 = £1,208.34
Gas Shell £537.68. Electric Green Fibonacci £721.87 = £1,259,55
Tried Zog for gas and this came to £572.05 and Neon Reef for electric £866.88. There were cheaper Gas quotes than Zog though they were not uncompetitive but Neon Reef are about £140 a year more expensive than some suppliers above.
Savings can be made using separate suppliers and if I use the two quoted above, I actually can save money from my Yorkshire Energy Tariff but not very much. Fingers crossed for Saturday.

Just tried Logicor and unfortunately it will only quote me at 3800Kwh, I can't input my actual figure which is higher than this. The tariff at 13.50 per kWh includes the 5% tax which would make it competitive but you seem to have to join a Wait List and then wait for an invite to join. It's only open for Yorkshire and the North East at the moment.0

I switched to Green Energy (Elm tarrif) in the last week of November. As Winter was approaching and I'm on E7 my YE account holds roughly £270 credit, and I'd expect my final bill to be roughly £140 meaning a refund due of around £130 credit.Anyone been in this sort of situation before and how long before I may get my final bill in this sort of situation and the credit returned?1

Normally it's up to six weeks for the final bill and the credit refunded within a further two weeks, but with SoLR, Covid and Christmas it's anyone's guess...1

That's my cheap g & e until Sept 21 disappeared
Brilliant customer service.

Have had a reply to my email regarding my credit balance. It seems we have to wait for the SoLR to contact us to arrange repayment. Let's hope it is somebody who is reasonably efficient!

The timing is terrible, nobody seems desperate for customers now.
I might have to go with a "no exit fee" holding tariff.0 -
