From what information there is out there, Saturday 5th Nov seems to be the change over day, so keep a record of your meter read on that day
I think you mean December 5th

Fortunately, I downloaded everything I could when I left them 13 months ago so hopefully I'm prepared if the administrators start re-inventing old bills   :D

I initiated a switch away from YE this morning before all this happened.

I got the usual monthly email this morning saying submit your meter readings which I did but when I got the bill like an hour later I noticed they had increased my prices without telling me. So I emailed them but also started a switch as thought I may as well as the prices are going up.
I got a response to my email about the price rise at 11:40am saying to check my spam folder. I know I never received an emailed from them about it so replied and then at 16:14 got a response saying they had ceased trading.
If you were in Variable tariff they sent an email on the 28th October asking to fix your tariff, as the prise will rise from 28th November.

For those that are in the middle of switching, remember to send the last readings for Yorkshire the day before you get a switching date, otherwise you won't be able to do it by yourself and you will have to mail the info crossing your fingers with the current situation.
Don't forget to take pictures from the meter, snapshots from website with the remaining balance also and download all the bills.

I left YE, for PfP/Zog fixed deals, when the very cheap variable tariff went up. I would have been more than happy to go back to YE when they had a competitive offer again, as the customer service was very good and the billing was prompt and accurate.

I suspect I may be waiting a while to get my credit back from the SoLR, though. Fingers firmly crossed...

Same situation, Did you received an email cancelling your direct debit when you got the switch date ? I still waiting for the final bill when they usually are very quick for that.

That was in no way a price rise email. They waffled a lot in it about fixing etc.. and said prices will rise by an average 31% but they did not state exactly how much they would rise by.

Funnily enough, I was just doing my back of a fag packet calculations of my final credit. Whilst I was doing it they calculated and posted my final bill and balance. I was only a couple of pence adrift! I wonder how soon I'll get my £38 credit back?

It does give me some confidence that somebody is obviously working to calculate YE's final financial position. I'm sorry for all those that have, presumably, lost their jobs.
