Yorkshire energy ?

I've been doing the same - and only symbio (who I wouldn't touch with a bargepole) for leccy is cheaper by 50-odd quid, and all gas supply is more expensive that what I've been paying with YE, so my bills going up no matter whatCosta_del_Brid said:I have done a little comparing Electric and Gas tonight. British Gas Evolve does do Gas and Electric separate though here in Yorkshire they are approx £80 more expensive for Gas and at least £100 more expensive for Electric. My two separate companies are Utility Point for Gas and PFP for Electric. This saves around £82 for the year compared to a dual tariff with one of these companies. Will continue to tariff crunch tomorrow. Well worth separate suppliers.

looking like dual fuel with PFP is coming out as my best bet once the dust settles....only £20-odd more annually than current YE tariff... just hope that deal (or better) is available when the faffing is done.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I've been using PfP since they took over Better Energy or whatever it was called. Good customer care, never had any issues.

Of the 4 suppliers I've used who have now failed (Iresa, Eversmart, RHE/Angelic and Yorkshire Energy). YE were without question the best for customer service by a country mile. Very sorry to see them go, which was more than I could say for the late and unlamented Iresa...No free lunch, and no free laptop

I left YE, for PfP/Zog fixed deals, when the very cheap variable tariff went up. I would have been more than happy to go back to YE when they had a competitive offer again, as the customer service was very good and the billing was prompt and accurate.I suspect I may be waiting a while to get my credit back from the SoLR, though. Fingers firmly crossed...1

Just shows how quick the market changes.... this morning green are coming up with a dual-fuel tariff that's slightly cheaper than the YE one I'll be losing..........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

As I have my leccy with Green, I hope they aren't playing any silly games with offering unsustainable tariffs to gain customers. There lies the road to ruin !!GunJack said:Just shows how quick the market changes.... this morning green are coming up with a dual-fuel tariff that's slightly cheaper than the YE one I'll be losing....0 -
From what information there is out there, Saturday 5th Nov seems to be the change over day, so keep a record of your meter read on that day

I wouldn't make that assumption. When RHE/Angelic was SoLR'd to BG, I fully expected them to hike the rates substantially. They then said they would honour the existing tariffs. When I finally got my offer letter, the rates were not only slightly lower than RHE, but they abolished the exit fee too. So to stay with BG for the rest of 2021 is really a no-brainer, unless prices fall after the winter.Shedman said:

I've been with three bust suppliers so far and having all the data to hand has made the transition and baling out from an expensive (Octopus) or useless (Utilita) SoLR so much easier.
Being serious for a minute ...how long after the SoLR has been appointed is it safe to start a switch away as it's pretty much a foregone conclusion their tariff won't be competitive ?
PFP are also coming for me as the likely candidate to succeed YE.No free lunch, and no free laptop

We'll something's borked somewhere. Last night I did a comparison on Citizens Advise. PfP came out the cheapest for dual fuel. An annual saving of £7 compared to YE. Marginally better for single fuels, with Evolve for gas.
Try MSE's comparison, and there is no saving on any option. Just a small increase overall on each of the same. (All using the same kWh figures)
Think I'll have to do manual calcs. 😭
