Someone earlier in this thread mentioned Logicor as an alternative supplier for electricity. My neighbour has made contact with them this afternoon and despite their website showing 2 tarrifs, one reads just a straight forward supply at 13.50 per kw, no exit fees, no standing charge, their second tarriff mentions supply for customers with their (Logicor) heating system. We both joined their wait list yesterday which now transpires is a complete waste of time as she has been informed that they only supply electricity to customers who have had their heating system installed by them. When she challenged him re info on their web site, the Agent said what he was telling her was the correct information and skirted around the info on the website being incorrect. So folks, for those of you who may be holding out for Logicor to be your next supplier (Yorkshire & North east only) unless you have their heating system, they will be unable to assist you.Would there be any mileage in starting a new thread on what YE customers have found as regards better rates than Scottish Power? I know its a minefield out there but here is the front runner for me, British gas = Online Fix Jan 2022 V7 - Gas 2.56p & 13.20p SC. Electricity = Online Fix 2022 V7 14.80p Kw & 19.12p SC. (Northern region).0

BedrockFred said:Malchester said:In relation to cancelling DD. I cancelled mine with Tonik when they went bust and had no problems. I didn't trust what SP said about DD's. I had credit on my Tonik account and they used some of it to cover cost between final DD and switch. The remaining credit was transferred to SP and will be refunded soon.
How long did your account with SP take to appear on their site
If you haven' read the Toni Energy thread just a bit lower dwn the list do so. It will give you a picture of some of the issues1 -
Another question as I am more than £200 in credit with YE am I within my right to not setup a DD for SP ?
But I suppose once it gets to that point my account should have appeared on their site??
That's another I think OFCOM have got wrong IMO once the YE is sorted and any payments made to clear the balance surely it would be correct for the balance to be returned to the customer

sallysaver I agree we should also be looking at what better rates that are out there. Since my comparison on 2nd December, some of the tariffs have disappeared and others have appeared. CAB tonight in my Yorkshire area on my figures are as follows. Utility Point Just Join 12 month fixed wk46 @ £1313.16.
PFP Fixed December 2021 Green v1 @ £1355.17
Avro Simple USuper fix 12 month @ £1446.75
British Gas Online fix January 2022 v8 @ £1447.46
Green Aspen @ £1447.57
Shell Energy February 2022 v5 @ £1450.44
My total with YE was £1318 so only Utility Point is cheaper. The bottom four in this little list, I would probably go with Green Aspen as I don't want Insurance and/or the commitment to have a smart meter. Unfortunately its a variable Tariff though there are no exit fees. I do hope a few better Tariffs appear in the next few weeks as the above Tariffs don't give me any joy.1 -
Wow just checked out PFP reviews on Trust Pilot and of late there's so many complaining, was thinking they would be my next supplier when all this is sorted but not know even though their rates are pretty competitive for me0

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread, I would be none the wiser as I've heard nothing from YE. Not keen to go near SP having had exceedingly poor experiences with them previously. I feel a trip to the garage coming on to take some photos of my meters.Make £2025 in 2025
