  • Just another possible wrinkle to be aware of folks.  I was originally advised by SP that my first DD date would be 27/1.  I then reduced my DD by £30 and started a switch away from SP.  Then with my 'welcome pack' email I have been given a first DD date of 7/2 and the £30 reduction has been added back on.  So I now don't know for sure when they will take a DD and how much it will be.  Having started a switch it isn't visible in my account so I am unable to check it and reduce it again if necessary.

Anybody else having trouble logging in to their a/c with SP?
My a/c has been 'partially' set up, no gas readings. Sometimes it lets me log in, and sometimes not. Now not again.

The site seems temperamental, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.  It may be that they're working on the site, or perhaps there's some behind the scenes processing going on with YE accounts which affects the web functionality.  The Gas readings seem to be missing for most people, so you're not alone on that, or the website issues.

That said, my account site with my new provider is also misbehaving today!

Contacted the YE administrators yesterday and they replied today and have generated my final bill (although incorrect which I did notify YE about before they ceased trading and they are now looking into this)

The person who responded said final bills should start being sent from next week.

Not good news for your mix up but good news final bills should/are being sent out from next week
Someone who knows more than me does this mean once the bills are sent out any credit is automatically applied to the SP account?
Sorry, deleted that post by accident, But yes they have generated my final bill and passed it to Scottish Power. See if other bills do get sorted next week.

I had already started the move away from YE on the 02/12/2020 which completed on the 23/12/202 so will see how long it takes to get my credit back.

Finished a rather unnerving phone call to SP.  Specifcally I asked for confirmation of the meter reads supplied to them on 9th December.  Seemingly no trace of them or rather no trace of them on the systems that the CS agents are able to access.  Whether these readings (both opening and reads from 3 days ago) I submitted to them over the phone again will find their way onto my account who knows?  He saw that my electricity meter details were missing and apologised.  As pointed out, until these reads are showing on my account they will not be able to bill me for the time I am with them.  I won't be bothering them again until February at the earliest after my switch from AVRO has gone through.  If I expect nothing to change between now and then I'll not be disappointed.  Website working again but no changes that I can see.

I look after two accounts. One now seems setup with both gas and electric readings. The other I can't log into (I could yesterday).

Edit: just did a reading and can't log into anything

For anyone who like me has not yet received the 'welcome pack' or tariff details / switch complete confirmation, you can check your current supplier from this Ofgem webpage. https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/consumers/household-gas-and-electricity-guide/connections-and-moving-home/who-my-gas-or-electricity-supplier

Just checked and submitted switches this morning after SP again told me would be a few more weeks to complete the switch.  :s

Can't login atm, not had a problem previously. There's just a revolving loading circle :o
Can login to my YE a/c (but no change there - no closing reading from SP) and I can login to by new provider's a/c (nothing of real interest to show as move date is the 28th).
