My switch to Neon Reef should complete on the 29th January
Edit: just to add my SP account say my hypothetical last electricity reading was 30th Nov.1902 (similar to others).

My SP account now has meter readings (estimated June 2017
) and the facility to input meter readings. Looks like they've not got the readings I gave to both YE and SP at the beginning of December.
I initiated a switch last week when my Gas was registered with SP, but my Elec has only changed today.
I can't get a DD setup and I've been put on an unknown non-DD tariff. I'd have to sign up for some other SP tariff to do that, despite being told weeks ago that it wouldn't be a problem to set that up once my account is online. I foresee a battle on this one because I had more than enough credit with YE to pay for this couple of months with SP so they will just invent the tariff retrospectively and keep my money. (I'd just woken up to how much credit they'd been taking when YE went under - lesson learned).
I have meter reads at least monthly, inc photos, so that should aspect should not be too troublesome.Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: 🏅⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅0 -

Worth keeping in mind that SP have not invited YE customers to set up their online account yet. Those who have set up have done it via the backdoor by taking the account number from their DD, or getting their account number from SP CS.
So nothing backdoor re my online account0 -

I never gave my DD info to SP and my switch to Neon Reef completed on 3rd January without hearing anything more from SP. Incidentally Neon Reef have now offered to pay £25 to myself and to a new customer should I reccomend them, the way other companies such as Octopus do albeit for more money.Phones4Chris said:My switch to Neon Reef should complete on the 29th January

Just suggesting it's something to keep an eye on. It's sound advice with any energy provider to be honest, but given recent form for UP it was a heads up for UP and NR.1 -

Your opening readings with your new supplier will be verified and passed to SP for them to use as closing readings.
I don't intend to give SP any other readings. They will have an opening reading and a closing reading. That's all they need to bill me, I worry throwing another reading into the mix now only adds potential for a c*ck up or confusion!0 -
Good to see some YE customers have been switched, I haven't and I dread to think what my final bill will be! So today I e-mailed Scottish power to tell them if I don't hear from them with a switch date within seven days I'm going to switch elsewhere despite their warnings. I'm totally fed up with them and I'm not even their customer yet!
Can anyone tell me what the unit and standing charge rates are for ex YE customers?0
