So today I e-mailed Scottish power to tell them if I don't hear from them with a switch date within seven days I'm going to switch elsewhere despite their warnings. I'm totally fed up with them and I'm not even their customer yet!
Can anyone tell me what the unit and standing charge rates are for ex YE customers?
Depends where you are in the country but you can see the charges at https://web-content.scottishpower.co.uk/files/pdf/solr/Energy-Exclusive-Pricing-Leaflet-Dec20.pdf
I've setup my account and like a lot of others can only see my electric readings and gas is still missing. I've arranged a switch to a variable green energy tariff to getaway from Scottish power. It's not the best but there's no exit fees so I'll move from those when I find something better from a company that's not likely to go bust. As some have had some joy with the gas readings I'm going to repeatedly call them until I can get the gas readings sorted.0 -
Thanks Exile, done that now, set up account and checked tariff, could be better but will do till I can switch. Thankfully I'm electricity only!0

They haven't acknowledged that I'm switching away for gas yet, so I assume they are going to try to screw me by holding onto gas for as long as possible. Probably even charging extra for gas because I'm no longer a dual fuel customer.Exile28 said:

So I'm going to have to sort that between avro and scottish power tomorrow...0 -
Absolute bugg*rs, glad my gas comes in a bottle!0

I gave them a meter reading out of habit, silly me. They are probably going to charge me millions for the gas. It said they take ten days to produce a bill.
I miss YE, they knew how to do stuff. Iirc the last company I was with who weren't rubbish were bulb. They are really expensive for me though.0 -

They didn't show my gas switching away until around 5 days after my electric showed the same. But it did show in the end and the switch dates tie up correctly with what Avro are showing.phillw said:

For whatever reason it all seems to be slower with Gas for the systems to catch up.0 -

Lots of businesses fail while being run properly. Lots of businesses aren't run properly but manage to keep running. You can't pass judgement without understanding the business plan and how it failed. It's not really a laughing matter when people lose their livelihood.bagand96 said:

I gave them a reading on 14 Jan. Summary details available almost instantly, PDF bill about 2 days later. Still haven't put the opening gas meter reading in yet though. Should be gone by 22nd 🙏goatfaced said:I gave them a meter reading out of habit, silly me. They are probably going to charge me millions for the gas. It said they take ten days to produce a bill.
