Easyjet Prepaid Card out of service

I have nearly 1,000 (not sure exactly because 18 months since I used it). I am booked to go to Greece in a week or so and assumed I could use the card. When I looked on the website, it had a message about temporary disruption (temporary? two years?). Then I read the messages on this Forum and realise that they have suspended the card and you have to apply for a refund. How long, in the experience of successful refunds, does this take? I'm guessing longer than a week.0

sorry, above should read 1,000 euros, on the card.0

You will be dealing with a company called Omnio and, eventually, the payment will come from Railsbank. I am sorry to say, it will take a long time and perseverance. They are banking ( yes, literally) on people giving up. Start by writing to Easyjet. I was 'on the case' for months. Post here again if you can't find relevant e-mail or phone no. Easyjet have washed their hands of it.
Good luck.0 -

easyJet@exelaonline.com is the place to start your claim. I cc'd everyone until they got sick of me and paid up.0

MYSTIFIED1 said:After a further email they have now replied asking for the card number so that they can trace the account. This is after them having acknowledged receipt of the necessary documentation and two promises on 21 May and 6 June that funds were being raised and would be in my account within 28 days. Disgraceful delaying tactics. Has anyone got any money back?0

Thanks for the advice one here. We have been emailing easyJet and nothing. So I emailed Railsbank they emailed back within the hr asking for name address etc and again emailed back within the hr confirmed the amount that was on the card and our money was back in the bank the next day. After all the stress trying with easyJet this company was 1st class at dealing with it. So everyone who has money on there cards still send a email to support@railsbank.atlassian.netOr go on there website and click the contact us and you can fill out a form.0

Hi, was just wondering if anyone got anywhere with this? I have one of these easy jet currency cards, i got an email a while back saying they were closing it down an i had to email to get a refund. Got a bounce back from the email which gave me another email eventually got in touch with someone. There were a lot of back and forward emails to get details, they confirmed there was around €300 euros on the card & they would need a bank statement from within the last 3 months showing my account number, sort code + the IBAN & BIC (whatever they are?). I originally sent them statements from online banking but they said they were unable to accept them as they did not show the IBAN & BIC. I ordered paper statements from my bank in the post that did have this, i sent them & since then i have had no more contact apart from automated replies. Before this they were normally replying within 2 working days. I have now heard nothing from them for at least 4 weeks despite sending several messages for an update. Starting to get worried this may be a scam. I see some people here have just withdrawn the cash from an ATM, unfortunately i don’t know the PIN number anymore as i last used it pre pandemic, when i try to use the pin retrieval service number it just says the card has not been activated yet. The other number on the paperwork is dead too.
did anyone manage to get a number for this lot to speak to a human?0 -
You're not alone! Shambles. The refunds were taken over by Railsbank. No, I'd never heard if them either. Detective work with posts on Twitter got me to that point. I eventually got my money back, but it took time and many e-mails.
My High Street bank, from which the money was deposited, advised stongly against sending 3 months' statements, so I informed them of that, and that I required the money to be returned to the account from which it was originally transferred. If you have time, read through earlier replies. My later e-mails came from jsd@railsbank.com and gave the portal cs.railsbank.com if I wanted to re-issue the complaint.
Registered address is Railsbank, Third Floor,

Replies were slow.
Hopefully, your deposits were from a still open account. Good luck!0 -
