    evening everyone
great news about our dad GR - pour yourself a large one

Well i've always wondered what my boss does all day and now I know - they are obsessed with statistics and statistics about statistics. my head is spinning. I'm in charge next week so everyone is trying to book leave - but i won't let them mwaahaahaa.

dd's school trip didn't get back till 5.30 - she goes straight into after school but the other parents just had to wait around. haven't spoken to her about the trip as she decided that she was a big feisty woman on the way home and we are currently not speaking on the basis that she can't think of anything nice ot say so she'd better say nothing. She's 11 so I did think I had a year or two but alas..........

dd18 was supposed to go to the dss to sort out her IS today but phoned to say there was picket line and what shall she do. She knows better than to cross a line esp when it's the same union as mine so may need another sub this weekend. I hope they won't penalise her although she didn't have an actual appointment - just told to come in in a couple of days.

Tea tonight will be humble pie for dd followed by the leftovers from yesterdays tofu bolognaise (it was horrid but dd loved it so I'll have something eggy later)
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

Oh help, can any of you tell me if a child can get chickenpox twice???
DD had it really bad last new year, she was off school for 2 weeks with it, and i think she has it again, just got her out of the bath and noticed spots like she had before popping up!!!!!
I know there are alot of kids off school with it at the minute but i thought if you had already had a bad case of it before you couldnt get it again!
Oh this is just what i need before xmas!!Arghhhh
    Any one know??

Hope you rustle up a few more pennies, or you'll be using folded up rags just like wartime. Or maybe you'll be pregnant and not need anything:eek:  Only joking:D :D

Oh my life   what a thought! I'll be OK for the necessaries I reckon.

I'm thinking of changing my user name to Spendthriftlady though

Sorry, but yes, DS had it twice, and the second time I caught it and it turned into shingles

The good news is that if she has spots, she is no longer contagious,

Not sure, but I thought they were contagious two weeks before the spots arrive.

You could always phone NHS Direct if you need some advice, and get the calamine lotion ready just in case.

Thanks Charliemum, you would think i would remember these things as it was only last new year she had them and having 4 kids i should be an expert!! But we are not a sickly type of family we very rarley get ill, iv been to a+e only 2 times since kids were born, so these things always catch me out!

I do know it always seems to be near xmas when illness does strike, i put it down to me getting them too over excited!!LOL
    Thanks
    Donna

Edited to say how much are you betting now iv put that about A+E something happens!!! That would just top my week off lol, im hoping so much its not the pox as she is playing Mary in the xmas concert next tuesday and was so looking forward to proud mummy moment.

Hope it's just a rash and nothing more. Even if it is chickenpox it should be gone by Christmas, so you should still be able to have a great time.

If catching something was caused by getting over-excited, half the world would be getting ill now :D
