  I'm getting so het up at work today. Everyone's being so annoying - particularly the boss. He thinks he's so funny and is so loud. We've 9 people crammed in a small space and he's the loudest one. How anyone gets any work done is beyond me. Roll on home time - this place is grating today.Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0

Morning Guys!
Feeling a little more with it today:D
Popped to Makros after hospital and managed to only spend £10.03;) ...they gave me a voucher on way in for £3 off a £10 spend on fruit and veg. Bought a 25kg bag of Maris Pipers, 2kg Sprouts, 1.5kg Bananas, 1.5kg Organic Carrots, 3 x Peppers and that came to £10.05:D ..so got £3 off that, then we found some butter reduced to 50p a pack with tomorrows date on it and bought the last 6. Can you freeze butter ok?...Im sure you can. This must be the cheapest spend ever in Makros! OH got me stuck twice in the wheelchair and was really embarrasing:o
Came back to a nice clean home as the cleaners had been. Have 2 more washloads to do and the DW has been on and emptied.
Must remember to get the joint of beef out tomorrow as Im cooking in the SC Saturday to take to sisters on Sunday. She has a meat slicer, so will wrap in foil and let her do that. We are meeting the new BF and really not looking forward to it. She has only been officially seperated for about 10 weeks and I think its too soon-but this is none of my business and already expressed my concerns. Her DD has already asked him if she can call him Dad:eek:    ...he said No which Im pleased about.
Having my fav dinner tonight:D....I think you can guess what it is.
Anyway, must go as I need s rest. Hugs to all.

Morning all,
Going to sort my presents this morning and hopefully wrap some, need to list what I have bought for whom, as I always forget someone, so need to get shopping finished this week, as house needs power washing before my first lot of family arrive on 19th..we are leaving tree etc until just before then, as I always feel the house is crowded when everything is up...yes I know that's being miserable, but at heart I think I am...I find housework and decluttering so exhausting that ideally I would have no pictures, ornaments or stuff around, but can't seem to get there.
Happy birthday young Mr Mioliere.
Mrs Mix...hope that nurse visit goes well
Jayward...hugs
Redruby...take it easy and don't think of going back to work tomorrow
Natzini...take it easy
Going to get off now as can't find my way into bedroom at moment, at least if some wrapping and sorting was done I could put some stuff away where it should be
Back later, no doubt, have a good day all

Morning everyone
Penny-Pincher - enjoy your Shepherd's Pie - think I might make that tonight too
I'm so excited - I've been trying to get a Wii for DD for Christmas for ages now - managed to grab one from Amazon this morning. Can't wait to see DD's face on Christmas morning - she wants one but knows there's no way she'll be getting a present that big for Christmas and has started saving :j
A colleague is leaving today so we're going out for a few drinks tonight, not very MS but I'll miss her.
Managed to blanch my brussel sprouts, carrots and potatoes for Christmas Day, just need to do the parsnips now. I really hope they'll be ok as I've not done it before - has anyone else done it
Need to go and get some braces for my Dad - hopefully he's coming out of hospital at the weekend - he won't be able to wear a belt now because of the surgery.
Anyway better dash - I'm at work Shhhhh!!
(((((hugs))))) all round.Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Hi everyone. Just popping before I visit the gym. DH has been home all morning getting right under my feet and up my nose! Why don't they ever put lids back on things, or close drawers, or hang towels up or ...don't get me started on writing out HIS Christmas cards! I choose them, I give him a pen, the address book, the stamps and a list - which is one father, two brothers and a sister! I do all his aunties, uncles, cousins and so on. It's the same every year. In fact, I think I'll just do them myelf, anyway.
REDRUBY - you tried to go back too soon after your op. Please don't even think about it now until at least Monday, and only then if you really feel up to it. Put your feet up - you need time to recover.
NICOLA - good to hear from you. All the best - not long now. We love babies on here so keep us FULLY informed, please!
Thanks for all the birthday wishes for my 6'4" 'baby'! I'll show him when he comes round tonight. He'll be really chuffed.
Well, I'd better go and run the hoover over (expertly mended by my DH - they do have their uses, don't they, and mine is very good at fixing things, I must admit).
See you later. (((Hugs))) to all the poorly children. They seem to be falling like flies everywhere at the moment.

If cards were to be sent by OH there would be none from this house....he can't even remember relatives names sometimes so don't even think about asking him to do things like that

Afternoon everyone.
Well ds1 got sent home from school! School nurse was great and spoke to him about any problems or worrys he may have to rule out bullying, before asking him to try to stay in school a little longer, i have to agree with her that in year 7 the kids think they can just go and say they feel ill and get sent home like they did at junior school, she explained to him that at secondary things are different and if you can carry on you must at least try to.
Well he lasted all of another hour before nurse rang back and asked me to come and get him, hes tucked up in bed watching a dvd at minute, hoping he feels better tommorow i hate him missing so much school, thats 3.5 days now since september, and i have to ask for term time off for him to go to malta with his grandad in May, so need to keep his attendance levels high so they grant it.
Other than sort out poorly son, i have cleaned bathroom, blizted 2 of the bedrooms hoover and polished and changed beds.
Got rid of all recycling items into relevant boxs/bins, collected a pair of thermal lined curtains from freecycle, managed to find homes for all dds birthday gifts in her room, and after this quick break im going to hoover and polish living room! Phew
Hope your all ok
Donna

Well, I've spent far too much money at Waitrose this morning -so forget whatever I said about it not being really that pricy  It was all under the influence of a new cookery book (more unecessary spending).
I'm not buying anymore food this year except essential fresh stuff (and a goose on the 23rd). My new year's resolution must be to use up stuff in my storecupboards before I buy any more- heck, I've got 5 kinds of rice, what I am thinking of ? Blooming cookbooks:mad:
I've just made a choc chip and apricot tray bake (Mary Berry's basic recipe) and that was all with food I already had in, so what am I doing buying more food ?
My name is Thriftlady and I am a food spendaholic.
I now have no money left for tampons:eek:0
