I'm with you Sue , Here in the West of England it's a B hot one!
Keep going Little sweetie , the wheels do seem to move rather slowly on these moves and it tends to be a bit of a waiting game.
Have potted some more travel savings and am looking forward to a little bit of rain to cool things down and freshen things up. Hopefully not too much thougjh. There have been a few crazy hailstorms about.
    Stay hydrated and cool everyone

Hi to all SPCers!! Well, let's hope we've seen the last of that terribly hot weather! 😰 We've just had a clap of thunder and now it's raining, what a blessing that rain is though, so long as it knows when to stop! Have a lovely weekend!  😀

To any of our dear members who are either ill or low in any way whatsoever, please do take great care, and I sincerely hope you'll soon be well and back with us. For now, take very good care of yourselves

Hi little_sweetie! It's so good to see you again. Oh, hasn't the weather been awful, absolutely unbearable when our houses face south! 😰 Still, I've let ours have an airing through for a couple of hours early morning then shut the windows and pulled the curtains together to keep as much of the heat out as possible, the same with the bedroom. We're fortunate in having our bedroom the width of the house, so we've got a window both sides, which IF it's windy causes a nice bit of through draft.
I really can't imagine what the folk from all the houses hit by that terrible flooding are going through. I'm subscribed to a YouTube channel of an elderly German lady, and last night she put some film on of their house!! It was almost gone, although I speak some German it was so hard to understand her given how upset she was, bless her. 😢 So many people and homes in a hopeless state, let alone those grievinwg lost loved ones. God bless them all.

I'm so sorry to hear everything is taking so long with your house, A, it's such a shame when the bungalow is ready and waiting. We've a couple in the village in exactly the same situation, they're so fed up and are often seen walking around the village "looking for someone to talk to!" They've been keeping their house almost like a show house. The waiting must be awful for you all.
Thanks for your thoughts about T, he's much better now, but daren't begin to bend a little or it's straight back to that rotten pain again. He phoned the surgery on Thursday to see if his results were back "well they are but it'll be 48 hrs until you can speak to a Dr." That was fair enough as he didn't mind waiting as long as he could speak to him to explain just what has changed, but then came a text to say "a clinician will phone with the results next Friday!" 😡 I think it's the same throughout the country, they want to keep you at arm's length!!
Don't worry about not potting A, I can quite understand things aren't easy for you to be able to concentrate on potting or where it comes from in order to pot!!
You and G look after yourselves and try not to worry too much. xxx

Hasn't it been a shocking heat, Ant!! 😰 I was aware you and I are in the same region, that's why DH & I constantly patrol the streets, keep the grass in the parks combed too! 😣

Ah well, now that wicked heat is pretty near gone, according to the Met Office we're set to go back to our normal summers! 🙄 The Jet Stream is below is when it should be above us! 🥺

Hi 32b3! Lovely to see you back again, although very sorry to hear you're still having logging in problems!! I started with a lot of hiccups, as did most of us, when we started off with the NEW (if it ain't broke don't fix it) format. Here's hoping you're able to get it right and keep it that way!!! Take care.

Right folks, it'll apparently be muggy tomorrow, but much more comfortable from there on... possibly pouring with rain 🌧️ instead. Ah well, look after yourselves and have a lovely weekend.

Have a SUPER WEEKEND folks! 🤩

Hello 32b3in2013. Well done on your continued potting. I too have trouble with the forum when I try to click into threads. I have to click into the profile of the last person who posted, then find their response in their replies, which takes me into the thread.
I felt the need to come back on tonight as I found and potted a penny of roadkill! Well, my wife found it while we were testing out her pushbike and gave me the penny as a thank you for helping her try to get her bike roadworthy  :). Oh, the rain has been so welcome. Everything feels a lot fresher now to me.

  • Thank you so much Sue and Antomac for your comforting words, it really does help knowing that someone understands 😘😘
We've still had not one drop of rain here but it's much cooler so more bearable at least.
Now I'm excited! I have potted something at last! £3.02 from a cashback site.  Its not much but we're not daring to buy anything other than necessities right now so it's not surprising. Having said that, I did buy a pair of Goretex walking shoes online this week from Hotter shoes.  They were less than half price at £45 and are in preparation for autumn walks.  I already have a pair which I bought years ago and which are now consigned to wear at the allotment, so the new ones will last for years to come. G says they will probably "see me out" the cheeky blighter 🤣 I will, ultimately, get cashback on  those too.
Have a wonderful day everyone x

Happy Monday SPCers!! We've just had a clap of thunder and now it's raining, what a blessing that rain is though, so long as it knows when to stop! Have a lovely weekend!  😀

To any of our dear members who are either ill or low in any way whatsoever, please do take great care, and I sincerely hope you'll soon be well and back with us. For now, take very good care of yourselves ❤️

What a paraphernalia you have to go through in order to get on SPC,  Ant !!! 😳 I wonder if MSE are aware of the fiasco they've created!! 😡 "Change" ....do they refer to it as being?!!! 😭🤣
How kind of your DW, bless her!
    Have a good week Ant.

You're most welcome, little_sweetie, I know how much I appreciate a listening ear at times, and I know you've provided that for me in the past. ❤️
We had a thunderstorm about 15 minutes ago, and as Ant says it's such a relief and freshens everything up. ☺️ Let's hope you get some very soon!
The walking boots were a real bargain, A, excellent spotting...and potting!!! 🤗 Ooh the absolute cheek of G!! 😉
I've always been a bit fearful of buying footwear online in case they're not right comfort wise, or do Hotters take them back if not??
You have a lovely day, A, G too, and a good week! xx

Hello  Lucy, good to see you and  hear your news. I'm so pleased DD2 finally moved, not easy catering for all their things as well as your own.
    Wasn't that heat awful!! 😰 I almost thought I was melting! 😩
Enjoy your week, your house too! 😉

Hi Dragon Lily, lovely to see you. Excellent potting and certainly worth coming on to shout about!!! :p

Hello Money_Choices and good to see you, especially after having potted some cash, very well done!
Let's hope there will be a nice bit of change in your purse!! ☺️
    Have a good week.

Another £20 transferred over to the SPC account!!

Have a LOVELY WEEK folks! 🤩

  • Yes, Sue,  Hotter do take back any returns although, to be fair, I've bought this type of shoe twice before so am fairly sure of the fit anyway.  It does cost postage to return them unless you can get to one of their shops which will take them off you and process a refund.
Still no rain here sadly.  I have washed my car this morning so it will probably pour down later!
Have a great day everyone x
