Ooh sorry to hear you are still having tooth pain, Sue-UU, you have my sympathy  <3  DH's back problem appeared to be improving last week, but on Friday morning, as he reached down to get dressed, his back went into spasm again.  It must have been bad, because he volunteered to go to the doctor.  He was reassured that it was just a pulled muscle but Friday night he was in so much pain he couldn't get up at all and finally ended up sleeping on the sofa.  With regular painkillers, icing and heating, he is on the mend again.  MIL suggested we buy a TENS machine to try, it arrived on Sunday and DH loves it.  Anything that helps is a bonus.
I'm potting £5.10 this week.  Stay safe and well folks and enjoy the rest of your week. :)

Managed to get 2 x £2 coins yesterday! was well chuffed! it's DH and I 14th wedding anniversary today, who knew I could put up with him for this long!
Hope everyone is OK, time just keeps getting away from me but I am still potting!
Had my first covid jab a week and a half ago and have only just got over it in the last two days.  Even DH was only rough for 24 hrs, but I could not shake it, I spent 3 days in bed I was so ill :( Not looking forward to the booster but just keep thinking that if the jab did that to me, what would I have been like if I had actually caught Covid!
Big hug to Sue, toothache is horrid :(
    Stay safe everyone!

Congratulations jakes-mum on your anniversary yesterday. Most people I have spoken to have been rough for a day with the vaccine, then Ok, but it does seem to affect people differently. At least it’s done now. Had a good laugh  when I went to get mine the other day when some random white van man told me how impressive my lockdown beard looks. Looking forward to end of lockdown and end of beard!
Siju I do sympathise with your partner and his back pain. I’ve been lucky not to suffer much with back pain myself but I know from others it can be sickening.
    Potting my travel savings today.
    Have a good day everyone

Hi Potters 😊 A happy Friday to you!! Stay safe and healthy folks, the virus is still about!!

For all those who are either ill or low in any way, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all well and that you will soon be back with us.  For now, take care. 3

Oh thanks so much, Siju, it's been busy at the dentists that's for sure, just at the wrong time money wise due to Covid.
Your poor Hubby, on the other hand, has really been suffering!!
Fancy the Dr telling him it's JUST A PULLED MUSCLE!! A pulled muscle can take months to put itself right!
However, you certainly did all the right things, and with MIS coming up with the TENS machine was a Godsend!! Very well done her!
Please give him our very best wishes, you too. Please let us know how he gets on. 🤗
    Brilliant potting!

Hi jakes-mum! Wishing you both many congratulations to you both on your 14th Wedding Anniversary!!!! <3<3 So sorry the wishes are belated, but my mobile went completely up the creek so I had to replace it. Still, after 4 years its served me well so I'm not complaining. 😄 I've just got to get used to the new one, not easy! 🧐
Sorry to hear you've been rough after your vaccination, but it gives us all a bit of virus with the dead cells in the vaccine so when you compare it with those who become desperately ill, or worse with it and have a high viral load, you've done well with your extremely low one! 🤗 Plus, the more it hits you means the more virus is in you!! 😁 Hubby & I suffered awfully with it last year and we're really rough for over 3 weeks!
Don't forget your 2nd in 12 weeks! It sounds like you've got a fair bit of immunity within you, or...will have in about 3 weeks, so don't mix before then!!
Great work with the £2s!! 😁

I'm glad you've also had your vaccination Ant! A good job done with. I never imagined you with a beard somehow, Hubby has one too, but keeps his trimmed every 4 weeks or so with a trimmer.
    Well done with your potting!!

Another £20 transferred to the SPC account, very very happy! :p

Have a wonderful WONDERFUL WEEKEND, folks!  Stay safe and healthy & WARM!   🤩

    Sue xx

  • Good morning everyone!
Sorry I've been AWOL Sue but I have been suffering with really bad pain in my hip and back which prevented me from sitting at the computer.  It's really been getting me down, especially when our young neighbour decides to have yet another party so we can't even get any peace and quiet  :/  She has just had a bouncy castle delivered (is it even legal yet?) so I expect there will be a party this afternoon and evening.  We live in a semi and a couple of weeks ago I had to ring her doorbell at midnight to ask her to turn the dance music down  :s  She lives alone with her baby daughter (who couldn't possibly have been there at the time) and I think another adult was there with her.  A few weeks ago there were 4 cars outside until 3.30am.  I'm still in pain so she is skating on thin ice if loads of adults turn up this afternoon  >:)  Would anyone else report her?
Anyway, not much potting to report , nothing moving on ebay right now.
Enjoy your weekend folks and stay safe x

Oh you poor love (A) little_sweetie, you do sound in pain, not JUST in physical pain either! Pain is enough to bear, but to be so badly bothered by neighbours at that time of the night is disgraceful!! 😡

To answer your question ..yes I would most certainly report her, especially if she has other people in there as, right now, it's against the law in any case! You don't exactly have parties if you're alone, so she must have others there!

I note that this is written yesterday, Saturday, I hope all went well for you and G, A, just try and keep yourself calm and think of other beautiful thoughts and memories and look forward to later this week when you can visit Zoe and your Granddaughter.

You know you can email/phone me anytime and I'll get back to you, but for now take great care of yourself and take some paracetamol for the physical pain. So sorry to hear of your hip, but if it affects you too much then see or at least phone for your Dr to ring you. T suffers from it and it's starting to affect his walking of late. Our GP told him that surgeons are never interested until it reaches that stage, even more so these days!
Love to you both A, don't hesitate to contact me.
    Love and hugs, Sue xx

  • Oh thank you my dear Sue.  A little sympathy goes a long way right now 😘 Yesterday afternoon the cars began to arrive and by 4pm there were SIX visitor cars, clearly breaking lockdown rules of meeting just ONE other person in an outdoor setting.  They all went inside at some point, presumably for food as it went quiet and then resumed the noise outside.  Luckily, most people began to leave after 6pm so all that remained was the banging of doors on a regular basis as they left.  Someone stayed overnight as one car remained (not anyone in her bubble)  but it was raining this morning and the bouncy castle was collected by the company who owned it, thankfully.  Re my hip: I think the inactivity of lockdown has been the main culprit and I'm reluctant to ring the GP as its such a faff to get anyone to call back.  G and I get through paracetamol by the boatload at the moment! Sorry to hear that T is still suffering too.  Take care my dear friend, you never fail to cheer me 🙂 Stay safe x

Hi A I did pop on late yesterday and saw that, apart from what you regularly endure 🙄 all was relatively ok. She's not being a great example to her little one for sure!
I wouldn't have dared to have entertained anyone in the more recent of times, but she must be pretty stupid to have risked such a fine as she should rightly have received!!
I understand what you mean about the effects of Lockdown on you both, and I think we're all cautious of bringing too much on the Drs shoulders. I've had to get in touch with ours today as I've got a chest infection, it's most likely due to the copd, but I usually need steroids and antibiotics to combat it. They say he'll be in touch within 48 hrs, I really hope so, though there a lot worse people off than myself!!

My Cousin's Son has been in contact with us today as poor Steve is critically ill in hospital in ICU after having a fall at home. He needed an operation, but since then whenever he's woken he goes in to seizures!! Simon & his Brother are extremely worried about their dear Dad, naturally so, and will be in touch just as soon as there are any changes, for now he's in need of prayers and  they will get them for sure.

Try to get some exercise during the days ahead A, G too, it'll release the endorphins in your brains which really will do you good. Sitting in the garden or on a park bench and getting some vitamin 3D is also amazing. For now, take great care of yourselves, and I'll most certainly be thinking of and praying for you both too!

    Love, Sue xxx

  • Thank you Sue. I'm so sorry to hear that you have a chest infection.  Its not nice to have at the best of times so I do hope the GP gets back to you quickly. 48hrs is too long! And poor Steve....Ill pray for him to recover soon...what a worry for his family.
As it's promising to be a lovely sunny day we are going to the allotment later.  G can sow some seeds and I can potter!  Its less painful for me to move about than to sit.
Hope you feel better soon Sue. Sending lots of hugs xx
