  • Good grief, I keep getting logged out and can't get back in here 😒 😫 I think I'm losing the plot totally now.  Anyway, congratulations welshspendthrift  it's  great to hear some good news like yours!  Yes, AntoMac we had our first jabs almost 4 weeks ago now so feel that there's light at the end of the tunnel at last.  We love having distinct seasons too and our exercise this week has been spending a bit of time at the allotment 'pottering' in the sun.  I managed to load just 3 wheelbarrow loads of bark chippings to make a path between beds before my energy ran out 😬 this year of lockdown restrictions has done terrible things to my fitness levels.....
Still not using cash so nothing to pot but I think I have a small sale on eBay which I can pot when I'm sure how much the nett sum will be (drat those fees)
A big hug to Sue 😘 My washing is about to be pegged out in the sun to save on tumble drying.  Have a great Sunday everyone. Stay safe x

    Goooooooooood Morning pottersssssssssssssssss
Well we changed out living room furniture so sold the small coffee table and two bookcases through FB, so a nice £12 in the tin, not a lot but it stayed out of landfill and will do someone else a good turn.
Still waiting for the letter from our GP for DH's jab :( he is on biologics which suppress his immune system and his specialist asked him if he had been called yet and was a bit concerned that he hadn't.  I'm getting to the stage of calling the GP and asking them!  My sister is on the same stuff and had hers over a month ago.
Anyway, hope you are all staying safe, I shall pop back at some point, days are just getting away from me, plus DH is not doing well with his arthritis, he has been in agony these last few months so i've been a bit of a headless chicken!

  • @little_sweetie thank you. What a lovely day it’s been. OH finally put washing line up so washing hung out to dry😀 sorted freezers and made a list for outside freezer too. Now I am about to enter the shed which has boxes from when we moved as lost some photo albums not in the loft as expected. So I hope I can find them, it was an old album given to me by a great aunt and another aunt is doing a family book so thought I could contribute from those ! Wish me luck🤣 it’s one of those sheds which will no doubt take hours and possibly find other treasures!

A super Sunday SPCers! 😊 I hope you're all enjoying or enjoyed the weekend, it's been a couple of smashing days!  s I really hope everyone's taking great care. Keep safe and healthy folks!!  3

For all those who are either ill or low in anyway, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all very well and that you will be back with us soon. For now, take care.

Excellent potting Lost!! What a price for a car wash in your area!!!! £12 is a colossal amount to fork out, it's £4 here, or was!!

Yes, welshspendthrift, I forgot the vital wishes of Congratulations to you both on your engagement!!! 🥰💍🥰

Oh it was a gorgeous day here, Hetty, so beautiful! All the Crocuses are out, Jonquils too, the normal Daffs are in bud and so much more; even the weather forecast is good with the Jet Stream sitting at the upper part of the country which always means good weather!! 🥰 There's also a HIGH right over us too!
    Brilliant potting!!

I couldn't agree more about loving the changing of the seasons, Ant!! I'd hate to live in a country where changes in the weather don't happen. There are things I just love about every season, none more so than spring and autumn.
Freshly mown grass and hay are my DH's favourite smells, a former Herdsman.
Oh how lucky you are in having free gym workouts with the dung!! 🤣 "A healthy smell' I was always brought up with by the lady who reared me, God bless her, and on getting older I realise what she meant as it means we're lucky enough to live in the countryside, and I adore it!! 🥰
    Well done with the potting!
Yes, DH & I had our first vaccinations about 4 weeks ago. Our friends have just had their second ones too.
    What some gorgeous weather! 😍

Oh dear little_sweetie, that used to happen to me so much, and I had a heck of a job to keep remembering each new password I created!  Now I get Firefox to "save" my password and it works a treat!! 🤩
I was delighted to hear you've been in the Allotment, in the sun, the exercise is brilliant, the sun with its Vitamin D too!!
Whatever the cash is from your sale A, be chuffed with it, it's all money! 😉
A very big hug to you, G too. 🤗🤗 Don't forget the allotment and the sun - even if you don't need to do anything, it'll still do you the world of good. 🥰

Hi jakes-mum, with regards to your DH, I think I'd certainly be inclined to give your Dr a ring to check about your DH as if it's worrying, then you could do without it, DH too!

Well done with gaining some potting feed out of selling your unwanted furniture. I hope you're really pleased with the new furniture and room.
Crikey, if your DH's arthritis has turned you into a headless chook, all of us with arthritis had  best all be looking out for the same problem!! 🐔 pook pook! 😳
Seriously, all the best for him! 🥰

What a lovely day! Make the most of the next 3 beautiful days folks, it's set to be really nice!

    Sue xx

Have the rest of a GOOD SUNDAY folks!  PLEASE..... KEEP HEALTHY!!

NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.

    Hi
Just checking in potters! I’m still here and still potting away, albeit small amounts due to the hubby’s furlough wage, can’t complain though....he still has a job.
    Hope you’re all ok 😘

  • Good morning everyone!  It's a bit misty and dull today but we're going for a walk in the park later on anyway.  I'm feeling a bit edgy so need to walk it off.  My eBay sale netted the princely sum of £5.80 but it all helps and it is early on in our SPC year so there's plenty of time to add to it.
Sue, G says thank you for the hug and sends one back!  I don't know what Firefox is unfortunately, but I've written my password down this time  :D
    Stay well everyone x

Well I rang the Dr, got told to ring 119 for the vaccine info, they then told me that DH was not entitled to a vaccine, so had to ring Dr back, couldn't get through, emailed them in the end in desperation asking them to check his group allocation as his specialist was very VERY clear about how bad it would be for him not to get one (I.E when you get called, go straight away, do not pass go, do not collect £200, clear).  4 hrs later he gets a text message 'you are invited for a vaccine', they miss categorised him! :o
But all booked in now for thursday thank goodness!
His arthritis has had him up crying most night for 2 months, he could hardly move, I didn't know that the pain could be as bad as that.  When you hear 'arthritis' you imagine a bit of pain that can be sorted with some tablets, he was on 8 tramadol, 8 paracetamol and amatriptaline and it still wasn't touching it :(
No pennies as yet today :( hard to pot when you can't leave home!

A very happy Tuesday SPCers! 😊 I hope you all enjoyed the really lovely weekend, a smashing few days!  s I really hope everyone's taking great care. Keep safe and healthy folks!!  3

Hi Emily, lovely to see you again! As you say, thankfully at least your DH still has a job! It's good to know he's furloughed ...and that your still saving. We've all had to slow down due to Covid, but hopefully, apart from this Brazilian variant 🙄, we'll hopefully get better soon! Look after yourself.

Hi little-sweetie, well I hope today's going to be like yesterday and turn out nice, but I didn't see the forecast, most unusual for me as I have a real interest in it.
I know it's going to be pretty cold from tomorrow on, but at least we've had a lovely break after all the cold and rain!

I hope your edgy feeling was walked off for you, it's the best way to treat it.
Excellent work with your sales!! 😍
Firefox is a web browser just like Google, Opera but far safer, that's why I trust it with my password. I always use DuckDuckGo on my mobile, and certainly seems very trustworthy!
Bless G, A, your words and the hug really made me smile. 😄 Take care both of you.

Hi jakes-mum, ah thank goodness your DH is all set for his vaccine on Thursday!! A few hurdles to jump, but it must be a heck of a task in arranging it all nationwide. I'm pleased you phoned up about it.

Your poor Hubby must have awful arthritis for pills not touching the pain!! Poor chap.
I know there's arthritis and ARTHRITIS and that the latter is wicked. When I was growing up we had a 19 yr old who was in a wheelchair with it, but she wanted, and had 2 kiddies, bless her.
All the very best to your Hubby xx
I know what it's like not being able to get out to get cash, I haven't been out since last March, still I'd far sooner stay safe! 😄

Very well done LivingInTheBlack, owt's better than nowt so still be chuffed with it. 😄 Take care

£20 transferred to the separate SPC bank account!!
