Happy Wednesday SPCers! 😊 I hope you all enjoyed the weekend, though if it's anything like ours it was extremely wet and windy!  s I really hope everyone's taking great care in every way possible. Keep safe, warm, and healthy folks!!  3

For all those who are either ill or low in anyway, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all very well and that you will be back with us soon. For now, take care. 3

Hi 32b3, great to see you. Wonderful news about how your is filling! Keep up the good work. 🤩 Yes, it's amazing just how far through the potting year we are. What with one thing and another I find I'm getting distracted this time around.
    Look after yourself X

Hi Ant, I see you're another feeling the power of your pot having more savings, great work! It's going to be very strange when all those having been furloughed for so long, go back to work, our SIL has another 7 weeks but has got so used to one long holiday in effect. I think that can be about the only 'good' thing that's come out of this most terrible time. Let's hope we never need to do it again.
By golly wasn't that wind strong yesterday! There were some real gusts earlier, but it seems to be calmer now.
    Take care Ant.

Hi Frogletina! Excellent having £25 from your electricity company! 🥰 I don't blame you for not having read the meters, a bit of a palarva for you, very difficult too with your sight problems! It makes you wonder about the readings though as that was a huge difference!! 😳
However, your pot has certainly benefited as a result!! ☺️
    Stay healthy!

£20 transferred into my new SPC account along with what DH & I had already had on the IOU list. I'm so pleased it's all in one place, maybe next year we can revert to our pots again!!  🥰 It'll be wonderful to hopefully feel safe doing so once more. ☺️

    Sue xx

Have a relaxing WEDNESDAY evening, a LOVELY THURSDAY to folks!  PLEASE..... KEEP HEALTHY!!

NB folks: The OPENING date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.

Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!😊 So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.

    Hi Sue

The readings are definitely correct. I now take my mobile phone to take a photo of the meters.

I've understandably not done much reading lately, annoying as I've so many books I'd like to read. However, I do have audio books and I can usually watch videos and the TV so long as I don't have the subtitles on. l have some foreign language films with English subtitles, but I will save them for good days.

I currently have BBC sounds on. I'm learning to love the radio again for more than music.

  • Hi Potters the bank saving pots are at £35.79 now, and the sealed pot had a stray 50p I found the other day but no cash is changing hands so cash potting is at a standstill but no non essential spending is good. I’m intrigued to see how much the bank pots will be by October😀. The pot will go towards our wedding, yes OH proposed on Valentine’s Day😀 just waiting for shops to open to get the ring😀

Hello, hope everyone is well.  Been away a bit recently as just feeling a bit blarghhhhhh 😔. Not potted anything either but payday on Friday so will have my purse emptying session for my pot.  I’ve got some washing pegged out on the line which is always good, especially after that cold weather.  My tomato seeds are just starting to push through so today is looking optimistic although Monday’s announcement didn’t do much to lift my mood; it still seems a long way off.  However spring is on its way and the nights are getting lighter so we are heading in the right direction.  I’m going out for a walk later so the wind will blow away those remaining cobwebs 🌬🌞🌷🌻

Hi Hetty, I was quite shocked to see your post from yesterday just a minute ago. Sorry about that, but clearly a clash of postings! 🤔
What's made you feel a bit blarghhhhh then, non stop Covid perhaps? Anyway, let's hope you're soon feeling better, though if it was Covid related then the data from Boris won't have helped! 🤨
Fingers crossed for more potting on Friday! 😉
Well done with the tomato seeds pushing up, always a cheery sight for sure. 🥰
Good luck with the wind and the cobwebs!!

A very Happy Thursday SPCers! 😊 I hope you're all enjoying your the weekend! I really hope everyone's keeping well, warm and taking great care in every way possible. Keep safe, warm, and very healthy!!  3

To all those of you who are either ill or low in anyway, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all very well and that you will be back with us soon. 3 For now, take care.

Hi Siju, excellent potting! See you soon.

Oh I certainly believed you, Frogletina, it's just the shocking costs of household fuels!! 😡 I read an article of Martin Lewis' yesterday, a rise of £100 per year starting this of all years!!! 😳 Disgraceful!
I'm pleased you're enjoying BBC Sounds and audio books, at least you have something to help.
    Take care.

Very good news for your SPC via bank and your pot, welshspendthrift!! 😍
Ah bless you and your future hubby with Valentine's Day proposal!! 💖💖 Let's hope you have a grand Total this October!!

What a lovely day! Make the most of the next 3 beautiful days folks, it's set to be really nice!

Afternoon.  Just emptied my purse and potted £10 in coins.  It’s March on Monday and the sun is shining today, although still a bit parky round here.  Thank you Sue for your kind words.  I think it’s just that everyday is the same and nothing to look forward too.  You are right, Monday’s announcement didn’t really lift my mood.  It comes to something when the highlight of your week is Friday lunchtime trip out to the supermarket 😂. We are going in the right direction though and I’m on holiday week beginning 8th March, just me, not my boy.  I’ve postponed it twice but it looks like it will happen and I’m  eager to get in the garden and get planting 😁🌷

    Congratulations on your engagement @welshspendthrift
I totally get how you feel @Hettyhound - This strange dream never seems to end. I did have some fun yesterday scooping up horse manure, loading it into a wheelbarrow and adding it to the manure heap. It was better than a gym workout and was really warm in the sun. Today felt really warm too, and it was nice to smell freshly mown grass again. It was also light beyond 6pm. One of the things I love best about this country is the changing of the seasons. I would hate to live in a place that’s always hot or always cold.
Managed to pot a few more pounds today.
Have a good rest of weekend everyone. I guess a few of you have had your first vaccine dose by now?
