Sorry to hear your sad news Sue_UU
So sad for them to lose both sons so early. Ooh lucyhope, that's unlucky for you, in these difficult times, you don't know what to do for the best!
Well the cold weather has given us something new to talk about and although there's been no snow here, it's certainly rather chilly! When DH and I walked this morning, I couldn't talk because my face was so frozen although I'm sure he was very pleased to have some peace and quiet!
I've got £6.70 to pot this week
Stay safe and warm Potters

Baby shower went very well, thought would show you the balloon arrangement I got ( bit expensive but worth the smiles when I turned up) was a complete surprise and it went well, afternoon tea with pink cupcakes, brandy snaps and scones made by yours truly! DGD 1 was a bit upset presents weren’t all for her .people kindly posted presents to me for DD and work arranged a baby hamper to be delivered at time of baby shower too. The only thing I would say party games we did on zoom a little tricky with 20 people.🤣 but it was fun and DD appreciated it 😀

Hello again Potters! 😊 I hope you're all enjoying your Wednesday, still darned cold, but..!
I really hope everyone's keeping well, warm and taking great care in every way possible. Keep safe, warm, and very healthy!!
To all those of you either ill or low in anyway, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all very well and back with us soon.Hi Lucy, and great news about your DH having had his first vaccination, though what a shame you couldn't have been notified. So, at least Hubby's a little closer to having some protection, though nothing for 12 days and then 22 days for the full immunity. It'll be wonderful when we're all done, I just hope as many as possible have the vaccination so, hopefully, we can all stay as safe as possible! It really is bitterly cold here in Somerset too! 😰Roll on spring for a little warmer and, all being well, a lot less virus numbers!!Good to see you and keep healthy! Thanks very much indeed, Siju, it's really been such a terrible few years, especially as their younger Son had fought cancer since he was 21. A brighter side throughout it all is that he married and he and his wife had 3 children, a blessing through those hard years, for his parents too. Their 1st Grandson was born 2 weeks ago! It's amazing how our DHs have to give that quip about us talking when there's absolutely no reason to! 😉Oooh isn't it so bitter! 😱 DH & I thought about going for a walk yesterday, but decided against it and went for a wander on the treadmill, far warmer, though nowhere near the same!Great potting! It's supposed to turn a little milder on Friday, it needs to as well!Take care and keep warm.Oh my word it's all so beautiful, welshspendthrift!! 😳🤭 Little wonder you were met with such delightful smiles!I'm really thrilled it all went so well, even the dancing on Zoom, still it all adds to the fun of it. I'm glad you enjoyed yourselves.I can imagine your DGD's face thinking it was all for her. 🥰Sue xxHave a relaxing WEDNESDAY evening, a GOOD THURSDAY too folks! PLEASE......DO KEEP HEALTHY!!NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!😊 So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.Sealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j4 -
Wow @welshspendthrift that’s a splendid effort. It’s a lot easier being male I must say - We tend not to think to do thoughtful things like that!
Sue that is so sad about your friends losing both their sons.I can vouch for it being mighty cold in Somerset, but other parts of the country seem to have it a lot worse. Got the heating on but still working with my coat on (on tea break at the moment!)
Some more travel savings added to the pot.

A very Happy Saturday SPCers! 😊 I hope you're all enjoying your the weekend!
I really hope everyone's keeping well, warm and taking great care in every way possible. Keep safe, warm, and very healthy!!
To all those of you who are either ill or low in anyway, take great care and I sincerely hope you're all very well and that you will be back with us soon.Hi Ant, many thanks indeed, I really don't know how they cope at times, but life's been cruel to them as aside from losing their Sons, they also lost a Daughter not too long after she was born. It makes you ask the question, why!Oh I understand what you mean about the temperature here being so very different from the east, Scotland too at -22 on Tuesday or Wednesday night/early morning. We've got freezing rain forecast from Sunday onwards, so be exceptionally careful!!!!Great potting Ant, and have a lovely weekend!Another £20 added to the IOU list, though I'm strongly thinking of starting a bank account particularly for that.Sue xxHave a super SATURDAY evening, a GOOD SUNDAY too folks! PLEASE..... KEEP HEALTHY!!NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th October 2021.Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!😊 So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.

I can't add a signature yet due to being a newbie, not sure when or how it will happen, but would including my number at the start of my posts be helpful? Apologies for questions, only joined up a couple of days agoSPC #072 ~ £8.37 ----- FEB NSD ~ 10/10 ----- Declutter2021 ~ 4/1004 -
Good morning everyone! Welcome lindsay54v3 ! I think Sue will say not to worry about displaying your number at the moment as it's needed mostly when we declare our totals, so there's plenty of time.
Oh Sue, your poor friend losing both her sons is horrendous. Heartfelt sympathy to the family....
No potting to declare, I'm afraid, as the only place we have been to is the hospitalG dropped me off and collected me later as I had to go in alone. How sad is that for nervous types when they know they are going for an op of some kind? I was just glad to get something done after waiting since May 2020, mind you. What terrifying times we are living in....
Hope you and T are well, Sue, the family too.
Stay well everyone xSealed Pot Challenge #012

Good afternoon everyone!
Sue-UU - I'm so sorry to hear about your friends' news.As for Zoom, once you have downloaded the app onto your laptop/tablet, just rely on others sending a link. My mum struggles - though she tries her very best - but as long as she has a link, she's well away.
MIA around here as there's not been much to pot. However, I had a small windfall of £2.88 yesterday, so that's been potted. There's another £1.51 on its way from TopCashback too! A bonus, if ever there was one.
School has been interesting over the last few weeks. Really quite exhausting, what with recording video lessons and then teaching the children of key workers - some of whom I've never worked with, so I've been trying to get to know them, whilst pretending I'm the most lovely person in the world. However, it's now half term, so I can spend some time reading.
Keep safe everyone.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared3 -
Morning Potters, hope you are all staying safe and well. Welcome to our new Potters
Not a lot happening in my world at the moment, apart from too much eating! I love to cook, but it's really not good for my waistline. Never mind, I'm hoping to get back on track when the better weather returns. We mustn't be too hard on ourselves for taking enjoyment where we can. Baby steps
£6.90 in my pot today. Look after yourselves everyone. xxSPC 16 - #09 Totals: 2014 - £264.51 2015 - £207.50 2016 - £396.79 2017 - £369.49 2018 - £484.24 2019 - £309.90 2020 -£282.06 2021- £1839.89 2022 -£1627.833
