I have got the decorations down. Two of the kids have nabbed their trees, and a length of lights each, and have scampered off to their bedrooms. I have decorated nothing, but did put up a net of lights in the front window last night while nobody was looking. I did not turn them on and will not until I am celebrating the start of mothernerd's December challenge. So I lit the candles instead and had a relaxing night catching up on all the tv we missed during the week. My fruit is gently steeping in the kitchen. If I cannot be bothered to cook, we have cheese and crackers.Motivation is a bit lacking, the weather lady this morning said it would be dry today here, I had to laugh as it was persisting down outside, and has not stopped once. I keep checking, so my list of things to do outside has been scrapped.Tier 3 for the whole of Le Shire, but at least the charity shops will be able to open on the 3rd. We are still 6th in the C0vid League. So I will just keep on being careful, and remember that stress is bad for the immune system, so I will let it all flow over me like a pebble in a riverbed.22 days left til the school run ends, there should be a countdown chocolate calendar for that! Unless any of you teacher types had heard the inside word on schools closing early?4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Knew it was too good to be true. Himself's purchases arrived today and one is broken. The packaging was awful. It will will have to be returned for a refund. I've given up trying to instruct him as to how to do that and he won't let me look at the computer screen to help him out so the Boy will have to sort it out tomorrow. He's vowed never to buy anything breakable again.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.5

@f0xh0les - am def not a teacher type person, but I do work in 2 diff secondary schools and the word here is no plans for early closing - although things are always subject to change......!
Have been sorting lots of stuff out, flebaying/ fb00k selling, setting aside for CS, giving away, recycling etc - almost at 2500 items gone this year - whoop! Loving the little bits of space here and there
NSDs are virtually non-existent due mainly to online Xmas shopping in dribs and drabs as I see good dealsNot concerned, though
And I treated myself to a robo vac in B.F. deals - I dislike vacuuming intensely and have been debating one for months, so this should get around that with only an occasional need to drag the dys0n out (fingers crossed!) Paid for by the silly hours I worked for a fortnight back in Oct
(They've also paid mainly for my Xmas spends
)
Thankful for getting some things sorted to leave here, small sales of bits n pieces (the kids are thankful for the money, as it's their stuff being sold!) , for DH cleaning the downstairs carpets and the stairs carpets (none of the bedrooms), for 0li0 app

f0xh0les - no word on early closing for schools here. Sorry! I think there'd have to be a major outbreak in a sch for that to happen, and then they'd prob have to shift to online learning...Grateful today for a very good sleep, for getting out for a little run, for finishing off some cmas presents to send a long way away, for a z00m with sis + bil + niece, for dh going and collecting an item from m+s in my place.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!2

Evening all. No NSD here, saw a foam mattress topper on offer that I'd wanted for ages so just bought it - put it on the cc but it'll be paid off ASAP. Also went out to my car to discover a huge red scuff on it (it's white). Managed to get most off but have had to order some touch up paint. Money came from the car fund so budgeted for but very annoying!
Spent most of the day tidying, went for a walk and also randomly cut out some paper snowflakes. Because why not!
Today I'm grateful for sleeping better, I'm amazed at how much less tired I feel since my injection, just shows how disrupted my sleep has been for the last few years.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!4 -
Friday was a spend day, today has been a NSD so 16 this month. I gave in to DD and the tree is up! Decorating of the new house has started and one room might be finished by the end of the year. Some boxes with presents have started to arrive so now I just need to find effective hiding places! I think the loft will be used for that purpose once DD has gone to bed. All in all I think life is in a good place just now 😁3

Yesterday and today was a spend day. Thankfully it was low spends.
Grateful for:
Watched High Society.
Putting Christmas tree, a few decorations up, crib sorted and Advent calenders up ready for next month(one is a charity one where 24 charities are supported and the other is a religious one).
Had lovely relaxing bath.
Did everything on my to do list, including adding up totals of what was spent in each categories in this month's budget. Planning not to spend anything the final two days.
Finding a few extra things to do for during Advent.

Yesterday a man came to look at the misplaced roof tile - he will have to come back when he has some sand and cement in the van. Asked him about the possibility of doing my roof repairs. He's busy but I said if he could take a look, give me an estimate and I will go on his waiting list.
Headache from earlier in the week is now a full blown cold - feel miserable, eyes and nose streaming so haven't pushed myself to do much today. Fed both of us, some chatting on messenger with DS2, bits taken to the bins. Wanted to go into town (mum wanted something and thought I would send the airmail cards and maybe buy my puzzle book) but weather was miserable - think I could have coped with either the weather or feeling miserable but together they defeated me (Saturday would never be my favourite option even though most shoppers would be at the retail parks).
Grateful for a short walk (to the postbox) with mum, the 37p per week raise in my Carer's Allowance (spits feathers and removes tongue from cheek) and having a relaxing day (shouted at mum yesterday as she let fly with a litany of complaints ending with the washing machine not spinning - obviously my fault). She was so busy complaining that she didn't notice the towel in one hand and the chair in the other (to soak up any water and to hold onto to get myself back up off the floor. Took me 5 minutes (she was going to call a man out to do it). She's so desperate for things to complain about, she included my taking credit for painting the shed - was telling DS2 about it and worked out this must be 2018 or possibly 2017. We know how to hold a grudge in this family. Shrug it off, it's so daft it's funny. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage3 -
Yesterday being the weekend I did the minimum of jobs to keep the momentum going. Walked to the local shops for bread and milk. It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to get out in the fresh air. Bit colder today (actually, it's freezing. Literally). Tesco order arriving shortly.
Gave the teensies their advent calendars yesterday with strict instructions it's one chocolate a day starting from Tuesday. Bet they've already demolished them.
Trying to hold off putting up the tree until Tuesday but there are so many up already I tempted.
Gratitude for yesterday - That lovely walk in the fresh air.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4
