NST: November 2020 - Madness!!!

Tuesday- still on 14 NSDs as I forgot I was in the "wrong" office today, so too far to get home for lunch and I hadn't made a packed lunch so had to buy something. First time I've bought lunch at lunchtime since I went back to work after the 1st lockdown so it's not too bad.
Cash envelopes definitely focus the mind on what is being spent more than waving a bit of plastic or clicking buy now on a screen.

Worked a half day, slept, went for a run and made a homemade pizza, and didn't eat as much of it as I wanted to! A good day. But have only done half the list of things I wanted to get done. Maybe a cup of tea so I don't just fall asleep again!
Managed an other NSD day.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

HI everyone
Sorry for lack of posting, i have been reading along, but managed to come down with shingles! Felt really rough as it was around my eye so lots of face pain, swollen eye and headaches. Had 4 days off work and lay on the sofa watching tennis through one eye. Went back to work yesterday (from home), still very tired but pain has gone just nice scabby skin around eye.
i have achieved some more NSDs - up to 8 now.
also have finished inputting all info for my self assessment but need to phone hmrc as have a couple of queries; at least the hard part is done and all income input - from 5 different roles over that financial year!
Have bought DD1 some expensive make up for C-mas as there was 20% off and bought through £co.
Been going for walks but not done exercise classes as no energy.
Nice to see you back abundant and agree with others that it is much easier to keep track of spends when spending actual cash.

Ate remaining veg from Sunday, put bin out and added a bag to the black bin (rounded up the wastebaskets and other bits), opened a jar for mum (made a mess because I needed a 'surface' and had to tip everything out and turn my tray upside down. Put paper on the second side of the snowflakes and did a few more. Cut out four purple penguins and gave them white tummies and faces (look a lot more penguiny now). Wrote 10 Christmas cards and put stamps on all but the two overseas ones. Ordered food because mum has no shampoo or conditioner.
Today I am grateful for being creative, for bake off, for another long chat with DS1, for DS1 finally having a start date for his new job. He estimates it will take him 3.5 years to get back the ground he has lost through 2 redundancies, several make do jobs with spells of unemployment in between. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7 -
Hello everyone!! I’ve been awol this month but I always read along. Thank you apple for the lovely words about that.
No idea how many NSDs I’m on but will try to pull focus now and get as many as I can before December.
Have not attempted shopping for that day yet. Myself and bf have been debating whether or not to come back to uk for Christmas (he already has a flight booked) We have both found it a difficult subject to talk about with family as there are vulnerable people involved and we would have to isolate somewhere away from our family homes. I think we have made our decision not to come but will decide for sure on Friday.
Grateful for free online courses, comfy new joggers, coffee and texts from my family group during bake off.

Everything ticked off the list yesterday. Must be getting the hang of it again. The secret is obviously to get a routine, stick to it then and add a couple of extra jobs that need doing every day. Still going to take me forever to get there but at least I'm on my way.
I thought I was going to have to buy an extension cable for cable for the tree lights but whilst doing a bit of moving around and throwing out I found one in a box full of the Boy's computing bits and bobs so that's saved me money. And I found the missing gift tags. I knew I would as soon as I bought some more. I have enough now to last for the next decade. Identified a gift for my nephew and his wife which I can buy and get delivered next month. So that's me sorted. Christmas tree can go up on 1 December.
Had a short surprise visit from the Boy last night as he came to collect a parcel that had been delivered for him and to "borrow" a bottle of red wine for making a bolognese sauce. It was a nice surprise as I'm used to seeing him only once a week just now.
I must get used to posting a gratitude every day. I can never think of anything because I'm just grateful for everything I have. But today I came downstairs and my Christmas cactus is blooming. Lots of beautiful deep pink flowers and lots of buds. It's just gorgeous.
OK. Another coffee and then I'm off to tackle today's jobs.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
NSD 12Hi sorry guys been missing life been hectic last few days. Good news floorboards replaced and carpet down, plus new laminate in the hall. Carpet looks a bit darker down than I imagined but nowt can do about that now. So soft and no more pointy sharp runner things sticking through on the stairs. Carpet guys very good, exceptional attention to detail. Coming back tonight just to fit a door edging strip as one they had got had a scratch on. I probably wouldn't have noticed. Might need paying then.Happy house is now sorted but I can't get motivated for xmas at all this year. Sure I will come around to it after a restful weekend.Went on a very long coastal walk Sunday with ex. bf I am still shattered after it. Good weather and good to have someone pushing you to walk further, even up and down cliffs and beach, than I would do by myself.Work busy but at least I have a job still. However if my boss suggests I need a bf again I might have a hissy fit.Grateful forThese challenges, was shocked to see Dec one up, where has November gone?Having a home, seeing a local homeless lad living in a container, how can we treat people like this.Nice day today but stuck in office wont see much of it.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/225

Today I am grateful for dd starting her counselling, for doing some online A level training that was useful, for not (yet?) having to send pupils or year groups home from school, for step kids giving us cmas present ideas and dh getting on with organising them, for having such an abundance of good things in my life.
