Hi just on to say payday yay, went shopping w ds, this is our new social and we got him lots of notebooks for his a level work, it always seems like a lot of money but then in a moment he will be gone, and what will I do then! I am trying to prepare and plan - but when it comes down to it I will be faced w living by myself unless I decide to get a lodger, which I might.
It's been a lovely day but frankly remote lessons is just putting more and more off teaching. I am not a tv show! A quiz show or an endless fountain of knowledge, It just reminds me how superficial many things are that are that are off the the web. And I am now tired. About to pay part 2 of my leftover monster water bill from and then off to bed. And really I am grateful that Christmas will be quiet and probably quite stress free.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Was caught out today by a spend I’d forgotten about - £16.50 for razors that I’d ordered online for OH. Annoying as I thought I’d saved on this week’s grocery budget and planned to add the savings to the emergency fund.
I had last night’s leftovers for lunch and OH ate... the ingredients for Friday’s dinner!! I’ll need to start leaving post-its on the food in the fridge like Joey from Friends. Instead of coming under budget for groceries, I’ll now be a few quid over.
Sent the broken phone to a trade for cash website today - really hoping to get the £81 quoted. I checked another site out of interest and was offered £36.
Planning to re-list some items on Gtree tomorrow.

Yesterday was NSD No 15
Another good day clearing and decluttering. The spare room is now beginning to look more like a bedroom again instead of a huge store room. Hence the recycling of many cardboard boxes. Himself even helped me.
Freezer decluttering going well too. Cooked a gammon joint and there is enough left over to two more meals. At least now it's sliced it's flat and not taking up so much room. Fish and a little smoked salmon defrosting for a fish pie tonight.
Other than that nothing exciting happening up here north of the border.
Gratitude - Lists for helping me get organised.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Hiya turtles.Just paid £200 off my credit card and am horrified I still owe £400 on it. Have been a tad spendy lately with doing the house up, re stocking the freezer and a few clothes treats. Going to head over to join the Mothernerd's Dec challenge and sign up.Yesterday I popped in a new lidlee and somehow spent £30 mainly on wine and xmas food stuff.House now looks like a home, everything finished for now. So no more spending.Grateful forMy mobile phone bill £6.45 as opposed to £32 month I was paying. Sim only deal now and they owed me pennies. woo hoo.Ex boyfriend re connected with me. just msging, really fell for him like an idiot but I am so over him now I hope!!!!!!!! Be good if we could still be friends probably not the best idea though. No NSD today, bought a fair few Xmas gifts online, and some vitamins for myself. Feel much more on top of things now. Luckily work has been quiet for the last few days, it never lasts but I try to enjoy it when it does!5 -
Today I am grateful for free-flowing traffic and easy buses, for a short walk in the cold + dark, for the pleasure of wrapping presents, for having a job.

Still on 2/5 NSDs this week - safe to say I’m not going to make the 5. Disappointed but will still aim high in December’s challenge. Underspend in our transport and leisure budgets this month by £175 which I’ve now split between our emergency fund and mortgage overpayment.
My holiday from work this week has been uneventful but at least productive - not how I’d choose to spend my annual leave in normal times but it is what it is. Pleased that I managed to work on our budget for 2021 and do a bit of decluttering (albeit everything for the charity shop is bundled up in a cupboard until the charity shop opens again after lockdown).
Our weekly grocery delivery is due today - have had an email to say one of the items was not available (again) - the popping corn! Must be the season for popcorn. Anyway, at least this time they’re alternative is microwave popcorn and not giant couscous! I’ll return it anyway probably because I like to make our own and to be able to control the amount of sugar. DS loves it but is only a toddler and hasn’t had the full sugar experience with popcorn yet. Once you do, there’s no going back!NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸5 -

Jobs done!
I spent the morning teaching Himself how to use Amazon so he can buy me some Christmas presents. No mean feat as he barely knows how to switch the lap top on. Actually, he didn't know how to switch it on. Bless him, technology is a mystery to him as is anything of a practical nature. Still, he has apparently managed to purchase some items which is actually a bit worrying in itself. I'll have to keep a close eye on him in the future or he'll be buying Heaven knows what.
Much the same as usual here apart from that.
Yesterday I was grateful that I managed to book food deliveries till Christmas as they are all disappearing rapidly.
Just finishing my coffee and off to the very local shops.

I felt very odd yesterday spending an two on the train to into and across bit town to get to my documents appointment, but it was the last thing I had to do for my naturalisation/citizenship application, and apparently all of my documents went through without any notes, so the lady lead me to believe that I am now just waiting (fingers crossed) to be called in to pledge allegiance to the Queen. It's all taken me over a year and it is so great to be done, in particular after spending 6 hours on the go for it last night after work.
So while I have lots of plans for today, the first one was taking the dog for a trim and she now looks gorgeous but old!
Also a run, tidy and clean whole house, lots of laundry, mostly for rack, tidy car and cook from scratch.
I bought some little violets from local nursery that I though I can use instead of Christmas cards for neighbours etc.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
