Hi Just on to say I love this thread and embarrassingly I'm only on 9NSD as had a spendy day today and yesterday. Had to get bike lights yesterday and a small weekly shop today. Managed a 10 k run today(sorry for bragging), made prorridge on the stove today, so much nicer than micro wave and and made a big lunch bacon and eggs and roasted vegetables w cheddar. And now the young one is cooking me dinner and tidied up the kitchen, time to chill.
And can I please join for December. Almost time to turn the lights on.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Spread the joy @ditty1234 , spread the joy!For the new turtles, a few days before December there will be a link posted on this thread to click through and read through mothernerd's wise words for the festive period, to keep us sane and focused and to stop us from falling for the adverts promising all sorts of nonsense. After all, it is only one day. I need to remember that.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today I am grateful for waking up without my alarm clock, for getting myself out for a little run, for watching lots of rugby, for making a fruity cáke that actually rose (real fruit - blackberries, pear and apple), for my sister running a crafterzoom which means I get some crafting done.

I find it really funny they keep it on the top shelf in Mr T's, next to the split peas and lentils as it is a dried grain.
I was only making popcorn for mine yesterday -did you know if you add 2 tablespoons of icing sugar to your pan when it is all popped, and give it a stir, the bottom of the pot is so hot it caramelises in about 3 seconds and you have posh caramel popcorn? It is my food discovery of the year! 2 tablespoons is for a LARGE quantity of popcorn though.Went a bit mad yesterday and baked blueberry sponge loafs and buns, and an enormous 12 portion Eve's pudding. I figured I could get away with making pasties for lunch + pudding, and a big veg stew or stirfry to get rid of some of the more elderly residents of my fridge. All quite quick and easy and veg-busting. I still have 14 bananas I need to do something with. If I made a thick pancake batter I could probably get rid of at least 10 if I made battered bananas, oops, sorry, banana fritters. Should have thought of that before I did the apple thing. Not that the boys will complain at two puddings.I am not leaving the house, so I claim NSD 15 for The Republic of F0xh0les. Spending day tomorrow though.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Well, I don't know what happened but I picked up some sort of bug on Friday and spent yesterday in bed drinking mint tea and watching multiple episodes of the Crown. As a result got nothing done yesterday but on the plus side 2 NSDs so I'm now at 12.
Just going to do the basics today and a bit of soup making for the Boy. Back to cleaning and clearing tomorrow.
Just waiting for the Tesco order to arrive.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Hi so this morning I am grateful for free software and for the oak tree in my garden, I was literally up until 3 am just messing about - making things digitally and all made up based on some text and some pics I took. Digital is free once you have the it, so currently I am very lucky to have a laptop from work. Have a lazy morning and finished watching series 4 of the bridge and I love how it snes with great resolve and good old saga getting rid of her badge and her guilt! What better ending.
Went for a short doggy walk w ds, uni boy has gone back to uni to use the library and to get a break from us, and maybe to go on a date I suspect, so he's sorted for the next week or so, and later I will go for a walk with friend, I want to take her out for a glass, - she did my weekly shop whilst we self-isolated, but I guess it will have to wait 2 weeks, if we're lucky. Happy Sunday.
